I was treated to a pedicure and manicure by my husband. The lady who did my toes cut my skin on both toes, so that was a downside. Then after finishing up my pedicure I continued to getting my nails done. The rude man at the chair asked me, "Do you want me to do your nails or the other lady? I've been coming here for years. The service has always been less than mediocre. The two guys that work there are super unfriendly and rude. The ladies keep to themselves and do a nice job. My last visit is probably also my last. I started off with a no chip from one of the gentlemen. He was having an off day, I could tell because he kept flicking my fingers sideways to file my nails. He would jerk my hand sideways. It didn't make for a comfortable, relaxing experience one would expect. I asked him to file two nails that just did not look neatly filed and he flipped a switch. He pushed back in his chair and told me to go down to a different person so they can finish me off. She ended up refiling my nails.. not only the two I asked for plus more nails. She painted them nicely, I was pleased about that. The pedicure, which was done by another lady was good. She did a nice leg massage and did a nice job with my feet. I know they are working hard but they really need to let the two uncaring men out. They make me uncomfortable and they are very unfriendly. The women do a nice job. At the end of my visit the woman who charged me pretty much took it upon herself to tip for me. My visit was $48, I gave her $60 and she says here.. you get $2 back. I was planning on tipping them $10 but was extremely bothered that she told me how much I was tipping. Salon personnel: you offer nice services but you should communicate better with your clients, be more attentive, get rid of the guys, and don't tip yourselves! I went to this nail salon just to give it a try and honestly never again in my life going back I showed the lady my inspo picture she was the first lady on the chair next to their little cashier/entrance she had long hair look very young. I showed her my inspiration picture of what I wanted she told me OK I could do that then when she was filing down my no chipped nail polish from my last set because I was going for a fill-in she was already done and was going to apply the acrylic then she tells me I only have clear acrylic and in my head I was like how are you going to tell me you could do this and then tell me you don't have color acrylic for my ombré nails? I then decided to just pick a random color and as I was picking my color she kept having her own opinions on the colors like that was is okay but this one is better or oh my this and that which at the end it's not her nails it's my nails so it's how I want them and what color I want them then i went with the yellow that I wanted. my nails were so uneven and so bumpy and I told them and they said it's the nail polish not the nail which is horrible unacceptable seriously. I've been coming here for a few years now. The service has always been okay. You get what you pay for, right? An incentive to coming here was the $24 Mon-Wed Reg mani-pedi special but now they did away with that, It is now $30. With a no-chip removal and tip, I ended up paying over $45 for a Reg mani / pedi. (Ouch) On another visit, I didn't have cash and I used my credit card, they charged an additional $4 on a $15 service for using cc. I was told that there was a fee (I imagine it would be $1 or $2) but I never imagined that it would be a 28% surcharge. After the tip, I ended up paying $25 for a color change. All the staff but 3, now appear to be new and are quite inexperience. Some are too slow and are not thorough. If you go in, be sure to ask about pricing up front. Watch out for all the nickel and diming practice here. My coworkers and I are no longer going as often as we used to for mani / pedis. We are anxiously awaiting for the new nail salon across the street to open up because this place no longer cares about good service. read more

I paid $25 to get the top of my toe sanded off because the lady wasn't paying attention and I was only in the chair for 10 minutes (my friends were in the chair for 30-45 minutes and got a leg/foot massage). When I went to get my money back because I was still bleeding 30 minutes later, they would not give me my money back. Came here for a regular French mani/pedi. I wasn't in my usual area and really didn't know where to go but yelp has done me a solid once again. Walked-in and was greeted and immediately was soaking my dogs in a bath of water. Water could have been hotter but that's something I won't complain about. My foot ran into a table and part of my big toe nail was gone and the lady did the best she could and an impressive job frenching that bad boy up. The only thing I didn't like about the pedi was either I had some horrible feet underneath or she just did a quick job but there was still a bit of dead skin down there which was one of the primary reasons I went in there. The mani was fantastic! She shaped it better than anyone else I have ever gone too. Even after the paint chipped and I took it off and the nail grew out, they were in such an amazing shape! They have one person start and seat me as soon as I got in, so I was thinking they were going to do a great job. Then they had another person prep the nails and leave me there. (One eyebrow was way shorter than the other) so after growing them out for a while I stopped by Nail Academy yesturday because I've been looking for another place to get my eyebrows done and decided to stop in here because my mother gets her brows done here and they're always perfect. They fixed my brows up and listened to my requests. The lady waxed them quick and clean, and wiped them before and after with an oil of some sort to prevent bumps.
