I think most of the poor reviews on here are from the previous owners, they more recently went under new management. This place has always been clean, peaceful & I have been treated with kindness every time. My mom hates busy salons & I brought here here...she loved it. I've been getting my nails done here for the past couple months, I've always loved it. It's been two days after my last manicure and I thought I would go back in to get one more coat because they look a little see-through. I went in and was told no because she only does two coats, I even have a little chip on my nail and she didn't care to fix it. I paid $100 for mani and pedi and this is how they treat me, fine. "I WOULD GIVE YOU YOURE MONEY BACK BUT WE WILL STILL HAVE TO TAKE THE NAILS OFF AND YOU WOULD HAVE TO NEVER COME BACK". This was one of the phrases the manager told me. The worst experience I ever had at the nail salon. I was doing SNS on my nails and gel on toenails. The lady that was doing my nails cut me very bad and we couldn't stop blood for 10 minutes. The lady put GLUE on my wound and the pressed it with a tissue which made it glue to my skin and hurt it even more. You would think that this is everything but its not even close. After 2 hours when i left the salon, one of my nails already chopped!!! I came back but the place was already closed. So I came back the next day. The same lady was fixing my nail. She cut me again and said that it's my fault and I'm moving too much. When she finished doing my nail, it was the WORST QUALITY I'VE EVER SEEN. It was uneven and looked too thick. I was very mad at that point and asked for money back. I was talking to the manager and she was being EXTREMELY RUDE to me. She said that the nail lady did an excellent job and it's all my fault. The manager said that I can take my money back but they will have to take my nails off too!!! WTH!!! After talking to her for few more minutes, she said she will give me 50% back. So I was like ok, fine give me at least 50%. And then she said, "never mind, I changed my mind". Then I honestly got pissed and was asking for a owners phone number. She would not give it to me. Then came the best phrase I ever heard. "I WOULD GIVE YOU YOURE MONEY BACK BUT WE WILL STILL HAVE TO TAKE THE NAILS OFF AND YOU WOULD HAVE TO NEVER COME BACK". I have to disagree with everyone else. My daughter has gone here several times and every time they have mislead her on pricing. I don't know if it's because she is a teenager or what, but the price they quote me on the phone is not the price they charge her when she goes...and she is too nervous to challenge them on it. Also, she had a full set put on 3/9 and by 3/14 two of the nails had popped off and others were chipping. read more

I stopped in for a gel pedicure. Was told they would NOT do that. When I asked why, they said because I don't need it, regular will last two weeks. I said I always get gel, it last 6-8 weeks. They said no. I asked do you HAVE gel polish? Yes. Why won't you put it on my toes, I am willing to pay the extra. No they won't do it. I ask why and they said no, just no. Lady that also works there piped up across the room and said 'NO ONE around here will!".... really lady? Lux nails a block away did it for me with no problems for $39. I've never been refused a gel pedicure anywhere. Reading reviews here, it's obvious they do them. So.... what???? Okay, was happy to give my money to someone else. This place is ridiculous. I was a walk-in 20 minutes before they closed and the staff was more than happy to give me a pedicure. I didn't feel rushed and my experience was relaxing. My pedicure lasted well past 6 weeks and I'm looking forward to returning soon! read more

I love this nail salon. We've been coming here for years and it's time I write a review. Everyone is so sweet and if they don't have the time you are looking for they will offer several suggestions of what is available. I LOVE the video screen with the subtitles that always has an awesome chick flick of the day. Soft instrumental music in the background, massage chairs, little to no chit chat from the staff as they focus on their job...and of course the spa mani, spa pedi - a must for the massage alone. My only complaint is every time I go I inevitably get a little nick when they work on my cuticles, They need to slow that part down a bit. So clean, modern yet warm...5 stars. read more

Worth the drive!. The Spa Menu is comparable to the Asian treadmill. Unless of course your happy with a $25 manicure that will last that of $25 service and provided by non-speaking nail technicians that are "judging" you on what your "gratuity" will be.Walk half a block and spend $6 more for the best mani/pedi spa experience at Tips & Toes Salon ask for Terri or Asha. This nail salon is the best I have ever been to. I will only frequent this salon, sometimes driving an hour from my city apartment just to have a manicure pedicure here. The staff is so sweet, warm and professional. The owner, Fran is the sweetest lady and always calls me by name. The atmosphere is so peaceful, unlike many other salons.
