I got the basic pedicure and the gentleman helping me was very sweet. The pedicure is the best I have had in town and the gentleman took his time. He also helped me pick out a glittery pink that flattered the hot pink polish I chose. During the manicure, he paid attention to my cuticles which I appreciated. The gel manicure was executed perfectly and you could tell the staff take pride in their work. I'll definitely be coming back and recommend this nail salon to anyone in the valley. Tools and implants not approved for disinfection and reuse must be given to the client or discarded after service on each client. I gave this salon 3 chances. Next calls are to the Dept. of Licensing, Heath Department and the State Attorney's Office. I'm tired of businesses taking shortcuts, aren't you?

After the pedi and before the mani, he asked me to pay. Given he seemed a little rushed (even though I had scheduled an appt), I gave him only an 18% tip. I also noted paying for the upgrade to gel polish. He finished my service and I left. (Note: this was the first time I have gotten gel polish. I prefer the convenience of being able to remove polish at home whenever it starts looking tacky). A week later the polish is chipping and I'm feeling disappointed because I thought gel would last longer. I popped into another salon in Portland and, as the tech is wiping it off, I learned it was reg polish! Shame on you Nexgen. This could've been the beginning of my upgrading and getting into routine service and instead it was a dishonest and embarrassing.

I went in yesterday, hoping to make an appointment and found out that THE REVIEWS ARE ALL TRUE!! This sweet married couple treats every customer like family. Helen made time in the schedule for acrylics and a pedicure for me and I was blown away at the amazing job she did! The time went by so fast because she felt like a dear friend! There was a time when the salon was empty, so her husband came and they both worked on me together, and he was just as wonderful!
