I don't know if they have busy times, or days, but the couple of times I've been there, it was in the early evening, and were pretty quiet as far as customers go. Both times, I went for pedicures with my friend. Even though we both asked for just a basic pedi (mine with gel), we were shown as much respect as anyone asking for a complete spa package. Neither our pedicurists nor any of the other employees were into having any kind of polite conversation or chit chat with my friend and I. I don't fault them for it. It's not their jobs to be fun. They do have a new bubble system for their basins. It's 99.9% sanitary compared to most other massage chair/basin setups, but it does take some of the pressure away from the jets. Personally, I'll accept the trade if it means less potential for exposure to fungus and bacteria. My first visit was some time ago and I don't want to give an inaccurate account. So on my 2nd visit, the pedicurist was great. At no point did she tickle me, scratch or poke me, or massage too hard. And when she was finished, my feet and my legs felt baby soft and warm all over. We've been to Nail Bar many times with experiences varying from great to okay. Today our 3 experiences were one great, one good and one lousy. We had appointments and had to wait however that is to be expected and wait times weren't terrible. We left 1 hour and 45 minutes after walking in the door for one dip and 2 pedicures from 3 different techs for time reference. One daughter is very satisfied with her sns nails! My pedicure service was light on experience - felt rushed with less attention to the spa aspect. Toenails look perfect which is all that matters however would probably skip the extras due to lack of their value. Other daughter had to wait at least half an hour for her tech who also rushed through the spa treatments. I asked if we could stay seated there when done (plenty of open seats) since daughter has had bad experiences with the disposable shoes but were ushered over to the heat lamps. As daughter anticipated the shoes dented every nail. I immediately said they needed to be fixed in which the tech added another coat to big toes only not addressing other nails. The coat did nothing to address the dent in each nail. I could see the tech not agreeing or seeing the issue so I waited until she was busy with a new client and asked another person for help. We were sent back to the original seat where the original tech again came by to apply another coat of polish on big toes ignoring the denting issue. The big toes now having two extra coats of the glitter overcoat polish look completely different than the other nails that are still also dented. Carefully staying there to dry we begin to get up to leave when tech rushes back over for yet another third coat on big toes all the while never cleaning up the now painted skin as well. Needing to leave, she's opts to just walk barefoot vs botching up the 4th topcoat application. Leaving barefoot with an unsightly paint job completely defeats all benefitpedicure. I'm disappointed that the issue was not remedied after confronting it twice. I believe the people that work at Nail Bar are all very kind and I did not want to further escalate the situation, but unfortunately we left today feeling like we completely wasted the money on 1 of 3 services. I think I would return to Nail Bar in a friends group setting but I would not take the high 33% chance of leaving feeling like I'd wasted my time and money for my regular nail care. read more

I went in yesterday for a spa pedicure and a basic manicure. I got seated and sat for about 10 minutes before someone came over. The lady who was servicing me honestly seemed like this was her first service. Here is why: 1. My previous pedicure was a gel pedicure. To take it off, she started to try and rip it off with her fingernails. When that did not work, she took a thin emery board to them. I recommended that she may need to use the Dremel tool, to which she walked away. Someone else came over with the Dremmel a few minutes later and got the old polish off. 2. I have short toenails, normally takes just a large file to trim down. She pulled out the large clippers and ended up cutting me 2 times on my left foot, and once on my right. 3. When she went to exfoliate my feet, she used the pumice block so hard it hurt, and when I said it was hurting, she just giggled. 4. I got a spa pedicure- which includes a salt scrub and a clay masque. For both, she barely put them on, and then immediately washed them off. Neither was used. 5. For the polish, she got polish all over not just around the toes, but on the tops of my feet. I had to go home and get our remover to get it all off, and to clean up around my toes. I SUCK at applying polish, and I get it pedicures so this is done well. It looked a mess like I did it myself. 6. Manicure- I bite my nails, so my expectations here are always low. Trim up jagged edges, trim cuticles, exfoliate, moisturize, buff. She AGAIN pulled out large clippers, cutting a finger. She did not put cuticle oil or softener on before shoving them back and leaving them there. Then the buff- the buffing block she had still had instructions on which order to use the sides in. She skipped those and started just using the polishing side. I had to show her how to use the buffing block. That was when my patience got thin, and my ability to just say "no big deal" started to evaporate. I won't be back. I won't send friends there. Friends- go elsewhere. read more

I visited this nail bar on November 3rd, I felt rushed and the tech motioned her hand for me to move out of the chair the second she was done. I was with a group of friends, each one of them had a tech that took their time, 40+ minutes. The woman who did my nails was done in less than 20... which leads to today! It is November 30th and I'm STILL fighting paronychia that I didn't have before the manicure I received here. Worst manicure I've ever had. My cuticles were butchered on not just one but three fingers, two of which bled. I then had to tell the staff member several times not to file or pick at those open cuts she created because it hurt. Pain and cuts aside, the actual polish job is also sloppy. It's not smooth and there are several bubbles. I cannot believe how bad this was. My pedicure was fine, not enough to return for. I was recommended this place from a friend so I had high expectations going in but was very disappointed at the response when I asked for my nails to be cleaned underneath before I left. I don't know if it's expected to leave with debris and powder under your nails but it seemed to be a pretty demanding request from the way the nail technician reacted. When he walked away and spoke to the other technicians who then turned to look at me, it certainly didn't feel inviting as a customer. When I asked for some additional shaping, I was basically told there was nothing wrong with the shape and I ended up just doing it myself. I appreciated his efforts to put a pillow under my arms to help support me while my arms was stretched across the pedicure chair but the pillow was dirty and there wasn't much attention to all the dust flying on my clothes as he got the polish off of my nails to begin with. It's the little things that add up and communicate a salon thinking about a short term sale versus a long term client. The gentleman who did my toes was lovely and easy to talk to and work with. He did a great job with a shellac pedicure. He asked if I wanted a drink and responded very kindly to my requests for more or less glitter polish. This review may have turned out differently had it ended with his service. It wasn't the experience I was hoping for though it started out well. I've been to this place 6 times. Every single time I have left with a shitty feeling. But I thought next time would be better but this is it. The staff will openly talk about you in vietnamese throughout the service. Most of the colors are thinned out with thinner. Staff is really unpleasant and unprofessional. I don't normally ever leave bad reviews but I'm very disappointed in my service. I had an appointment for an acrylic soak off and gel manicure. Before coming in, I had a normal full set of acrylics. They just needed to be soaked off and then cleaned up a bit. My manicurist was a younger man who did not seem to know how to remove the acrylics and had to ask 2 other people. He then used a nail drill and removed the tips this way, cutting into my natural nails and it was very painful. He cut a jagged hole into my ring finger nail and was going to leave it and paint over it if I did not point it out and ask for it to be fixed. The removal of the acrylics themselves took 1 hr and 10 minutes and my nails after were very brittle and damaged. He then scraped at my nails with his own and tried to pry the pieces of the nail that weren't softened up which hurt. Additionally, while using the nail drill he stopped for a minute to use it on his own nails? Finally I received a gel manicure that is very bumpy and bubbly and overall just poor quality. I paid $40 for all of this and was never asked about a complimentary drink which was one of the cooler things about this shop. My nails are now very thin and damaged and the gel feels very uneven and gummy. Giving a 2 star only because the other staff seemed very nice, I just wish I would have had a different nail tech. read more

I will never be returning to Nail Bar. I felt like I was rushed and I am extremely dissatisfied. I brought my two sisters here to also get their nails done before school starts and their nails look like something I could've done (probably better). Although they charge $5 for nail paintings with regular polish, all it included was a sloppy trim and sloppy polish. There's still polish around their cuticles outside of the nail. In addition, I got the SNS manicure. It was $45. I usually go to oasis and it costs less and I also receive more. Here, my nails were trimmed and dipped rather quickly. They were also left very puffy weirdly shaped. None of the usual add ons you would normally get such as cut cuticles, lotion, basic hand massage, or water to dip your nails in. Literally none of that... and I paid $10 more than I usually pay. Finally, after getting my nails done, I decided to go back in after seeing them in a different light to get them fixed again. I only added an extra star because the person who did my nails also fixed them much better. It was still quick and I felt rushed but above all, I didn't feel that welcomed. I felt horrible for my sisters who were done with their manicure in 5 minutes waiting for me to get mine done. I hate to leave bad reviews because everyone is trying their best and it is back to school season (tends to be busier), but I am upset by the whole experience and will never be returning. In summary, would I recommend this place? No. The only nice part is the interior which is cute. Very boutique looking but the service doesn't reflect the aesthetic. read more

First I'll say that i rarely write reviews but had to for this based off the lack of cleaning......Went for a pedicure there for the first time which was fine and the staff is very friendly but the place is filthy!! I can not believe they have regulars who show up there all the time. I went here based off of the reviews and could not figure out why they are getting 4-5 stars. The pedicure chair was sticky and goopy and looks like it had not been cleaned in months. There is nail polish stained on everything and the floor has dust, nail pieces, scraps of paper and cotton balls and other stuff ALL over it. The supply carts have a half inch of black dust all around it which tells me they never wipe it down. Sweeping and cleaning is a basic need for a nail salon. They need a serious deep cleaning. As far as cleanliness, pedicures are done in a tub with a new plastic lining each time, and tools are single use in a disinfected pre-packaged pouch.
