I recently had a manicure with gel polish. The employee did not use the light on the polish which I thought was a requirement with gel polish. The day after having the manicure I had to go back because one of my nails the polish was chipping. They fixed it without any problems. But now two days after the manicure I have 3 nails chipping. I just returned from Nail Care Spa near Publix with the a mediocre pedicure and a terrible manicure. After the pedicure, I was moved to a table with a different technician. She first cut my nails way too short. When I saw what she did, it was way too late. When she applied the polish, polish smeared on the skin near the nails as well. I asked her very nicely to clean up the manicure, but when she did, she only made it worse. I am very upset with the results. By the way, they make you pay in advance, and had I known how terrible the process would come out, I wouldn't have been so generous with the tip. I should have shown my nails to the owner. They have good music playing and everyone seems to just be so relaxed and not in a rush to get to another client. Decent experience... my nail tech rushed the manicure, and would immediately stop working with me whenever she got a text, so I was just awkwardly sitting there waiting for her to finish checking her phone. She also didn't trim my cuticles, which really needed it, and barely waited for each layer to dry between different coats. I had a regular mani & pedi , the nail technician is not good at all I mean I can do better job than her, i mean she didnt remove all my cuticles at all . She can fool a kid but not an adult. She is in her 50's Asian lady wearing an eyeglasses , she don't speak English ( I should have asked her name) . Her tools is not even sharp at all. I really didn't complain at the salon because there's some people I don't want to make a scene over there. Some reviews are good because they have a good nail technician. Went this past Saturday for a deluxe pedicure and left with a huge cut they claimed was an ingrown toe nail. I couldn't walk all day Sunday on my left foot. Went back to see the owner and seemed to think it was normal what the tech had did. never offered me anything in return for being in so much pain and discomfort. I called this morning to see if I had to make an appointment for myself and my 2 kids or if we could walk-in. I was asked to make an appointment since there was 3 of us. No problem. The receptionist scheduled us for 12:30pm. We got there at 12:25pm and the receptionist was anything but warm and friendly. After picking out our colors, she took us back to the pedicure chair (I was getting just a pedicure) where I proceeded to sit for an hour with my feet in cold water. My pedicure is terrible. I asked for short nails and they are not short. They don't appear to be filed, even though she did and the paint job is beyond awful - lumpy, thick and it looks uneven. My nails do not look smooth. My older child's polish (on fingernails) is spotty and not full coverage. It looks chipped or well worn, as if the polish has been on for a while instead of just done. My younger child's nails were not painted the color picked out and once the tech realized this, instead of correcting it, she painted a single coat of the correct color over the wrong color. So instead of getting purple glittery nails, she got a dark, navy blue with a coat of purple glittery polish on top. The same tech did my pedicure and both kids nails. They only had polish done, not a manicure. My younger child was supposed to get their toenails painted the same purple glittery color they picked out for their fingernails, but that was not done. This was our first time at this salon. I don't think I would go again or recommend this place. read more

Not sure why this salons positive reviews are all listed as " Not Recommended". I have been going there since it opened and have not had a bad experience. Tim or Andy keep my nails beautiful with the dip powder and they are the healthiest they have ever been. My powder manicure lasts 3-4 weeks. I agree with one of the reviewers who said the person giving her the pedicure didn't speak to her. I know who they are referring to, but she does a great job. Just ask for someone else. read more

Would definitely recommend this nail salon! Beautiful place and the nail technician was so nice! They also had a very large selection of polish colors. The chair were very comfortable and they made me feel welcome. The only thing I would have changed was the presentation of the place. Don't get me wrong, the place was beautiful but they could have concealed their tools a bit better.with all the tools out like that, it made the place look less relaxing and Moore like a hospital. I went and got my nails done today, just a simple nail polish nothing crazy and they were terrible. The woman did not paint all the way to my cuticle line nor did she paint the top coat evenly. She also didn't wait long enough for each layer to dry so they started to bubble. The place was practically empty so I don't know what the rush was for. Also she did not remove all of my dead cuticles and did not evenly shape my nails, like in the slightest. I would not recommend getting your nails done here. Went to the Murrells Inlet 707 location by Publix and had Andy for a pedicure. While getting my pedicure I got into a conversation with a woman about the organic dip nails. Decided to have that done as well and couldn't have been more pleased. The place is immaculate, with basin liners and all supplies individually wrapped. Andy did my pedicure and nails. Very nice and knowledgeable. One of the best pedicures I have had anywhere. The dip nails was a new experience. The color is in the powder that they do in three layers. The salon is beautiful and very spacious. Due to COVID-19, they took our temperatures as we entered and were vigilant about wearing masks, which I liked. However, Edward scissor hands herself was my nail technician. I'm used to getting atleast one cut whenever I get acrylics. It happens. But this technician just filed the skin right off the sides of my nails. I'm not exaggerating when I say that every. single. one. of. my. fingers. has a cut in it. Visited yesterday and was disappointed in the luxury pedicure with hot stones. It felt rushed through and the technician was rough in handling the stone massage and oil massage. The stones were pressed hard against the shin bones. Also, she used her sharp nails as a tool during the manicure. Getting spa services are a treat and should be enjoyable.
