Needed nails done on vacation. Pedicure is great. However, my gel manicure was lifting by the next morning. Now 4 days out and every nail has lifted and peeled completely off. This place was decent. Definitely not like my nail salon back home but they did a decent job on our pedicures. We came into town for a girls trip and since it was sunday de go get our toes done. Elite Design Nails and Spa did not disappoint! I checked in via a tablet at the counter. Simple and quick. Cash did my full set and he did an awesome job. Very thorough. Ava did my pedicure and it was awesome. The massage chair was the first to not bounce me out of the chair with with its massage. Hot stones were also included as part of the regular pedicure; it was an awesome addition to an already good pedicure. Prices were decent as well. Full set was $30 and pedicure was $29. (Plus Tip of course). I wish I lived closer but if I come back to Myrtle Beach, I'd definitely return! read more

I broke a nail the night before my trip to Myrtle beach. If you have a place you love, you know it's concerning to try somewhere new lol. I liked the atmosphere of the salon. Nice decor. Didn't feel tacky or cheap like some. The chairs were comfortable and newer. Comfortable wrist wrest on the table. I didn't get a pedi but the pedi chairs were in a separate area with dimmer lighting than the main area. Very cozy. As for my nails... they look great! The tech didn't hurt me or cause any cuticle burns. My cuticles look clean. She used cuticle oil at the end. Also used two UV lights instead of rotating hands in one. That was a nice change from what I'm used to. Overall I'm very happy with my experience here. read more

EXTREMELY OVERPRICED for the service they provided. When I first arrived and asked for a basic mani & pedi, I believe that's when they begin to look for ways to overcharge me. There were at least 3 ppl without clients when I arrived and noone jumped at the opportunity to take me. Then reluctantly, one guy did and asked at least four times if I wanted gel on my toes and again for my nails. I was not offered any beverages ie water, etc like the other clients to my left and right. I had residual gel polish on my toes, that literally was hanging on. If the wind blew too hard it would have come off and it was only on two toes, which I was charged $5 to remove, unbeknownst at the time. I had no polish on my nails which were barely nubs at this point and he barely did any cuticle care. All of 5 min was spent on both hands and by the time I finished he said the total service was $65+$1.50 for using a card!!($25 for polishing my nubs, $35 + $5 gel removal) service fee I get as a business owner myself however, the cash option would have been $55. So wait a min, math ain't matching! How does a $1.50 service fee drop by $10 if I used cash! To my point charging as they go instead of set prices. I gasped at what a full set or even gel would have cost if I gave into those up charges. When I inquired about a price list being posted, of course they would not have one available only for pedicures, allowing them to change the prices as they see fit! Red flags Definitely not worth the time or money. Would not recommend and will NOT be coming back. Only for the polish to already be jacked up before even getting out the door! This place is fantastic. They always get me in with minimal wait time. I have been doing gel on my toes and dipping powder on my nails. The powder is the only thing that lasts two weeks. I only need it changed at two weeks due to growth. The powder is never too thick (something I've seen at other places). They have some amazing pedi chairs as well. If you get the elite/deluxe pedi, you use the chairs on the left which even have slots to massage your arms. Every technician I've had has been great! I was in town visiting and found this great salon from yelp reviews. It is located in a shopping center with plenty of free parking. I had made an appointment for 1pm that morning and was able to be accommodated. My boyfriend and I both got pedicures and manicures. Both of our nail techs were wonderful and took their time ! I went to this salon since it opened years ago. Recently management changed and all the old people were gone. The quality of the work went down hill and I tried person after person since I'm a creature of habit. My nails would pop off two weeks later. Nail polish peeled up etc it was sad because this was really my nail spot. Now I had to switch salons but I'm happy because I can wear my nails for 6 weeks and not chip or break any nails. If I break any nails at the new salon I go to now, it's my fault, not the quality of the work. The people are very nice but the quality of work is nowhere near where it used to be. It's ok for tourist who won't be back. But for a local like me it's unacceptable. read more

I was visiting Myrtle Beach and broke a nail. Since it was time to get them done I looked for a salon that could take me pretty quickly and get me out in time for an activity that I needed to attend at 2, this was at 11 am. I called this salon, they said yes. I went and was very impressed with the shop. The tech that did my nails did what I thought was a great job. There were several steps not taken that I am used to from my regular salon, but I figured some salons do things differently and kept quiet. Once completed, my nails looked great----for less that 24 hours--:(. They started chipping the same evening. I have never had my nails chip while wearing sns. This left me very disappoionted. Sat with a lady named Ruby and not only did it take over an hour for my refill but the nail polish was spotty which is evident. Even so, she put a clear coat over it, oiled my nails and charged $40. I had such high hopes for this place but believe I was cheated on my experience from some prejudgement. I was in the store on Mother's day for a rare treat for myself as a single mother. I was suppose to be working but rain called off the event and I had been struggling for almost 2 months to have time to get a pedicure. I was expecting the basic pedicure which was not so basic, $30 and included hot stone massages on the legs. (Which I paid in CASH to prove many points) I noticed they were probably talking about me as the older woman who was doing my pedicure got frustrated as I asked the charge for an upgrade on gel polish. He provided that and I declined as I don't actually like gel polish and I was only interested in it because of being called back to work. Service went on like normal - or so I thought. I arrived at 11, was given a 30min time break before they would be ready for me. Got taken back at 1138a and was done by 12. The 2 women who started pedicures at 11am were still sitting at the dryer when I got done and even pointed out the fact that I was done so quickly. The woman pulled the stones out, touched the bottom of my feet may be 3 times and it was so quick, I questioned did she put them on my legs. I was told the stones make your muscles relax which would've helped her from not messing up my big toe to put my regular shoes on - which the lady fussed at me for not being relaxed. How could I relax when it had become obvious to me that I was being cheated from my services? The lady next to me was getting massaged similar timing as me and was talking about how good it felt. I told the manager I was disappointed and that as a person of integrity and former server, I always factor in costs of 20% tip when the service is done right but I would not tip and pay $30 for a 25minutes service. I'm so disappointed and this literally could've ruined my whole mother's day, but I wouldn't let them. For the business to grow: consider all things like the fact that most people come for these type of services for a moment of relaxation and peace. People ask the cost of things and DO include your tip in the thought of the worth and decision making. And also, just because people don't understand your language does NOT mean they don't understand your true feelings! You can't hide the truth from a "lavender prophet"! (Ironically the name of my nail color) Karma will win! read more
