Love this little gem of a find. The owner and her staff are very welcoming and all of them do the same caliber of work. The place is very clean and for the price you can't beat it. If you book an appt on Tuesday, Wednesday or thurs you can get either gel manicure with a eye brow or lip wax or a mani pedi with a lip or eyebrow wax for $25! I really wanted to like this place. I'm going to assume the person who did my pedicure & my best friend's manicure was new. Her manicure was extremely subpar, and although the idea of my pedicure was amazing (paraffin wax, scrub, hot stone), I ended up with a cut on the side of my foot (perhaps from the scrub?) & a cut on the side of my big toenail (I guess from clipping my cuticle?) that are both sore. Let me start by saying what I liked about this place; everyone was very friendly, is by appt only for the most part so no long wait time, and is very quiet and peaceful-not that crazy rush I'm used to from other nail salons. Because of those good qualities I went back for a 2nd time. Two times I went, both times my pedicure chipped within a day! Not one nail but, several. Even though they were willing to accommodate me and fix my nail/ entire feet, I just don't have the time in my schedule unless its planned for. One of the young ladies doing my manicure filling kept messing up (maybe about 3x) so she kept on removing and reapplying gel color. That process took very long - I was there for 3hrs!! Owner knows how to do nails somewhat-well, but the other 1 or 2 employees (never more than that) stand around & watch or do a pedicure every now and then, and they're not great not the worst. Salon, kept organized, but not clean. Not how a serious salon would be taking care and responsibility to keep its clients safe from infection. Do YOU See any white residue on a nail file? - that means it's been used on someone else. and hope they didn't have MRSA or Hepatitis. Responsible & adequately educated salon owners are Taught pumice stones, buffers, emery boards, sponges,& foam toe separators MUST be Swapped-Out to prevent spread of Bacteria. Whether or not they choose to ignore that to save themselves money - is Your problem when you get an infection. Does Nails Club autoclave their instruments? NO. (You can only put metal tools into an Autoclave, which kills 100% of bacteria & viruses. Autoclaves are used with specific "color-change pouches that instruments are prepared in". The Color changes on the bag, once the correct sterilization conditions have been met! This color change indicates the objects inside the package have been processed. Autoclave pouches are sealed and therefore should be opened in font of you. But they don't even use them. I would NEVER bring my daughter here and risk her health. Just because they're neat - doesn't mean they're clean! Nail club is a hidden gem in Kenilworth. Located on the Blvd across the street from the library. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area. Make an appointment ahead of time as it's a small nail salon and they get booked rather quickly. Had pedicures numerous times and it's excellent. The ladies work very hard, no rushing they really take there time. Between the callous removal, foot and leg massage, painting. They are very meticulous. This place posts that walk ins are welcome and it wasn't busy. 1. Poor customer service and poor communication. The nail tech at the front treated me as if I wasn't even worthy to walk into the store. I told her I wanted a gel manicure and she said, "We don't have time for you, come back another day." 2. I find out the same thing happened to my friend. So maybe I just don't fit the clientele of the store. Miriam is fantastic. I'm extremely picky and being new to the area made it very difficult for me to find a nail technician I could trust. The salon is clean, they're products are new, and they have a variety of colors. Miriam is friendly and always try's her best to accommodate you. Be ready to wait 2+ hours. They're never ready on time and they value certain clients more than others. If you're nice and patient, they'll take advantage. Miriam is ok, but is always pulled in all different directions. Marcia has her days and can be easily distracted (one time she was on her phone texting while doing my nails) and sloppy. They have someone new (I'm going to assume she's training to become a nail tech.) she hurt me with the nail drill and taking off the SNS was messy. She didn't know how to use the nail filer. Their products are okay. The pedicures don't last more than 4 days. After that, the nail polish starts to chip. I've had a simple pedicure (non-gel) last me a month. The dipping powder is nice and they have an array of colors, but the product starts to crack after a week. The dipping powder should last you at least 3 weeks. The gel manicure is ok. Not great either. The product would lift after a couple of days. Overall, long wait time and cheap products. Pros: I gave them an extra star for talent. read more

Today was my first appointment there. They squeezed me in which was very appreciated but I wasn't thrilled with the lack of communication. I don't really feel that my nails are anything to brag about either. I left my other salon who does excellent work but thought maybe there would be better communication here and it wasn't the case. I always made an appointment before hand, the one time I didn't she told me they were "way too busy and to come another day". The owner is very nice & attentive but when it's slow. Last time I went in I had a couple broken nails & expressed i might need a fresh set of sns nails otherwise they'd just keep breaking. Once my pedicure was finished she sat me in her chair and proceeded to do a regular refill & once more customers started coming in she started getting flustered and rushing.
