Nail Haven is an absolute gem! Alex does amazing work. I'm a recovering nailchewer coming off a recent binge (sooooo not cute); but thanks to Alex my lil shorties have never ever ever ever looked so good. I've gotten tons of compliments already and it's just been a day or so. Even though I can tell that these are going to last WAY longer than any other manicure I've ever had, I can't wait to go back! The time there flew by. Alex is a delight to talk to, and she has great ideas (which is especially nice if you're like me and show up with no ideas and nothing but little stubs on your first visit). I'm already dreaming up possibilities for next time. New Haven is super lucky to have yet another fantastic woman putting down business roots here. Alex is the best! She's not only a very talented artist but passionate about her craft. We spoke before hand about what I wanted and I made an appointment for my daughter and myself. Not only was her detail work on point with mine but on my 9 year old's tiny nails as well, and we both got pretty intricate designs. Very impressive! I was also surprised that my nails stayed chip-free for over two weeks (as a bartender, I've never gotten my nails done because I didn't think it would last one shift) I can't wait to go back again! I'm usually a crummy DIY manicure girl but decided to treat myself, and I'm SO glad I did! Alex herself was a treat -- fun, funny, interesting, and talented -- and my nails look freaking fabulous and make me smile every time I look at them. I have off-kilter tastes (yes, I wanted octopus tentacles on my nails -- you got a problem with that?!), and Alex totally got me and my kooky sensibilities. Alex is super sweet and really easy to talk to also, she did an amazing job with my nails! It was my first time getting a gel manicure and she explained each step and cleaned up/shaped my nails very well before applying the base, polish, and top coats. I'd love to come back and get some nail art done as well. Her salon is super pretty and relaxing, and she plays great music too! Hopefully next time I'll get to meet her dog as well. read more

Alex is an incredible nail artist and a really sweet person on top of that. She is very talented and creative- I'm pretty sure she is up for creating any kind of nail design you can think of. I was preparing to get hand surgery and had to have the gel taken off a broken finger. This was an incredibly sensitive job and Alex did so well and was so careful and kind.
