The owner, Anni, has always had a reputation for being nasty and disrespectful -- not only to clients but even to her own employees. Many of my family and friends stopped going years ago because of her attitude. I continued only because the salon was close to my home and I truly adore the pedicurist I've been with for years. Most recently, I had a truly upsetting experience. I had gotten a pedicure a few days prior, then tripped and chipped the polish on one toe. I went back to kindly ask for a quick touch-up. Instead of treating me with respect, Anni started loudly calling me a liar in front of other customers because I couldn't recall the exact day of my appointment (I work two jobs and don't keep track of dates). When I quietly approached her about it, she doubled down, mocked me by asking how old I was, and continued to speak to me in a nasty, humiliating way. Another customer who overheard even looked at me with sympathy because it was so unprofessional. I am heartbroken to leave the pedicurist I've supported for years, but I will never return to this salon again. No client deserves to be treated this way. If you are considering this salon, please be aware of how the owner behaves toward both customers and staff.

There is a man (i just assume he is an owner) who comes around during your manicure and gives you a five minute neck/shoulder/arm massage which literally makes my brain feel like it's melting. I drive 40 min just to go here, and it's not even worth running in to a local place for a quick manicure/pedi that I'll be regretting not going to Jewel! Everyone is so nice and friendly.

Do you know when a towel has been damp for a while and it starts getting musky then it starts smelling like dirt face towels. One of the Spanish-speaking nail techs was talking about my daughter's feet in Spanish -- unaware that I also speak Spanish -- and got visibly nervous when I responded back in Spanish. My daughter got a French manicure, and while it looked okay, the blue color ended up bleeding into the pink, which was disappointing. The tech also didn't listen when my daughter asked to change the French pink color and instead stayed distracted on her phone. That was frustrating for both of us. I got a pedicure myself, and the service was decent. However, the communication was poor -- the tech didn't tell me when it was okay to move or dry my feet, so I was just left sitting there with my pants rolled up, feeling awkward. At checkout, there was even more confusion. The front desk had to swipe my card twice because they charged me incorrectly the first time. Also, tipping was complicated because I had to tip three different people -- the woman who started my daughter's nails didn't want to do her feet, so someone else had to step in (and honestly, the second tech did a much better job). Overall, the experience felt disorganized, unprofessional, and not customer-focused. Sadly, we won't be returning.
