I don't know how I've never written a review for Nail Lounge before because I've been using them for at least 10 years! There is no one better than Kyle. I drive 30 mins for him to do my nails. He's been doing them since they were in the Raintree shopping center. It's always clean there, spotless in fact, and the salon is beautiful. Kyle and Pam (the owners) redid the whole inside themselves! There is privacy between the stations so other people can't hear your conversations which I like because, well, people don't need to know my business that I talk about with Kyle. It's nothing important but I like that there is that barrier there. They are cash or check and have an ATM in the vestibule. Oh and the fantastic, friendly woman that makes the appointments at the desk is always looking her best! She's super cool and always has great hair, makeup, clothes and cool glasses on! Never ever had I had such a nightmare at a nails salon, of all places. Unprofessional owner. Rude front desk and staff. And, don't know how to work. Each nail has a different shape & form! Manicure was done poorly. Gel nails weren't what I asked for and when I expressed my concerns I was told I am being rude. Below I've posted photos of literally while I was sitting in my car outside of the place. You could see each nail being differently shaped. This salon was recommended by a friend. I was told you get a gel fill in twenty minutes. Well that was true but the customer service was horrible. You are not given the full attention. Every thing is rushed. As a first time customer I confirmed twice what the pricing would be for me. I was given the same price when I made appointment a week ahead & when I arrived I reconfirmed the price. Only to check out & it $10 more because my nails were long. I've visited The Nail Lounge the first time over a month ago and had an amazing experience. My nails lasted for quiet sometime, the color, shape, quality was great. Very beautiful and relaxing environment. Sanitized. Clean. Great color selection. Matching gel and polish colors. Would also appreciate if they don't have a color to remove it. Then time is just wasted searching for a color that they didn't have. I initially wanted DND cotton candy. The tech spent a few minutes looking for it. Until someone told her it's out of stock. Then it should be crossed off from the selections.. My previous experience this past Friday was unpleasant. They were kind enough to fit me in at 6:30pm for a gel manicure and pedicure. I even said on the phone, I don't mind coming earlier or rescheduling because I felt bad since they close at 7:30pm. This was the experience I was trying to avoid. I work in healthcare and I'm a licensed cosmetologist. I know how it goes. Granted I was less than 5 minutes late. I apologized. Management at the desk seemed very bothered by it because it's a Friday and they wanted to close out for the night. They had me pay first - it's cash only. I also made it a point that I wanted to visit the nail lounge because of my first great experience. Meanwhile I could've just popped in anywhere that day and had my nails done earlier. This past experience was rushed and it's now Monday. My gel manicure is chipping, air bubbles are visible in the gel polish, and the little residue that was left of my previous gel manicure is visible. The nail tech didn't take care of my cuticles or dead skin around my nail bed. $55 total and being a generous tipper. It's disappointing. I'm not sure if I'll be returning or recommending at this time. read more

Requested an appointment for a manicure/pedicure service for myself, my two young nieces, and SIL, and woman who answered the phone was rude, and not accommodating because I had 4 people in my reservation. She even asked for me to come in and put a cash deposit because 4 people "take up a lot of time" and seemed annoyed at my ask. Unfriendly service and not accommodating. Nice place, decent service, got me in same day but asking for payment first is kind of uncomfortable and having matte top coat should be pretty base line for a nail salon. I was honestly shocked she said no. They book appointments tight so at the end the tech was rushing and the filing is uneven. Won't be back but wasn't the worst. read more

This has been my 4th or 5th time visiting the salon and up until now I LOVED IT. Today, was a different experience. The same person has done my nails every time. So with that being said I shouldn't feel the need to say step by step what shape, width, thickness etc. I want. So I told the person who was doing my nails and I could tell I was annoying the manicurist. So, needless to say I left there got in my car and started filling. OMG - I am so happy I found Nail Lounge! I am new to the Freehold area and this salon came highly recommended... Does anyone else ever have a panic moment that they realize they hate their current nails and need them done ASAP? No? just me - okay :-P Well.. I was having a nail panic moment and I called Nail Lounge the day-of praying that they would have something in the evening. A very friendly receptionist answered the phone and said that Kyle could see me at 6PM. Hooray! The salon is located in a fairly populated area but is a stand alone small house. There was very clear directional signing that said "entrance" with an arrow, which I sincerely appreciated having it been my first time visiting. Once inside, you feel like you are in a new, luxury spa. This small looking random house is completely transformed inside. I didn't snap any pics for fear of looking like a crazy new person, but I'll definitely try to take some next visit. Everything is meticulously clean, white, renovated and beautiful - very serene + relaxing. Kyle, my technician and also the fabulous owner of Nail lounge, was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Definitely ask for him!!! I told him I wanted to extend my nails (tips, or whatever he thought would be best). He told me that tips are damaging (which I knew but just was over my short nails) and instead used a more innovative technique where my nails were wrapped with paper, gel went over the paper, cured under the UV light, and then VOILA - paper removed and my nails were extended. No idea what this is called but it was awesome and so much healthier than old school tips + acrylic. I was so impressed by Kyle --- not only was he extremely fast, he was thoughtful, friendly, efficient, and I really appreciated that he listened to exactly what I wanted! I showed him a photo and my nails are a total replica. He has been in the nail business 15+ years and was a real nail expert, I truly trust him implicitly. I'll be coming more often here to do my gel manicures! They use OPI Gel polishes and have a nice selection of colors but didn't know if they have chrome, cat eye, mermaid, and etc. styles! It's also only cash/check only! It only took less then an hour for waiting, gel manicure, and soaking off the gel which my BF appreciated! All I got was a polish change and I could've done a better job by myself at home, Very sloppy job. I will not be coming back here.

On a whim, I decided I wanted to get my nails done last Thursday morning and my regular salon couldn't get me in until late LATE afternoon. So I called Nail Lounge as I had passed it so many times and it looked so cute on the outside and I was SHOCKED that not only could they get me in that morning, but within about 20 minutes of calling. The receptionist was so nice on the phone and also just as welcoming when I got there. It was super busy for a random Thursday at 10:30 AM but I was taken to a pedi chair right away. I got a gel mani/ regular pedi by Mikayla and it was amazing! The foot massage was to die for and the hot stone at the end was so relaxing. I was in and out within an hour. Needless to say, this is now my new spot! I've had issues with my gel manis at my usual salon in the past, chipping super quickly and not lasting longer than a week max, but this one has held up so well, it looks like I just had them done yesterday! I called today to make another appointment for an after work time of 5:15 PM and they were able to accommodate. I always felt I got an attitude from my other salon when I wanted an evening appointment, even though they were open until 7:00 PM. I always felt rushed and like they didn't want to take late appointments. This place is great and everyone seemed so friendly and happy. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. the person i spoke with on the phone(maybe owner or manager) was so sweet and I explained my last terrible experience at another salon and she told me to come in so we could take a look. It's been a while since I got my nails done regularly and they were really honest about what they could do with my now super short and weak nails and what to expect which i always appreciate. Angela did a phenomenal job, nails are even and well shaped and the color is even and has full coverage with no lumps or bubbles. Price was reasonable nothing outrageous. I just moved to the area and glad I found this place. I go to Angela and she's amazing. I like to find things on Pinterest and she does them for me. It's never a problem and she will even help me find/match colors without me feeling like it's an inconvenience to her. Not only do my nails look great afterwards, but she gives awesome massages. I've got regular pedicures and gel manicures by Angela. One of my favorite things about this place is the friendly atmosphere. It is also very clean. She said come back and a different nail technician will take them off and put a whole NEW set on. I go there and the woman only took off the ones that broke, rushed through the rest of it, didnt let me get the same color I got before because she blamed that for the reason why my nails broke. I've NEVER heard of that EVER! Mind you, I had 5 rhinestones on the first set of nails. I asked her to put them back on and she sighed and rolled her eyes. Then I told her ok, just put one on.
