I have no idea where all of these "great reviews" are coming from but my daughter and I had the worse experience. Not only was it empty when we showed up at noon, but we both wanted our nails done and I asked for my daughter's lip waxed. My daughter has gotten this waxed multiple times before but this was our first time at this location. I remember thinking how lucky we were that no one was there. Well now I know why! They are crap that's why! First there were two workers. I thought only the older Asian woman was the only worker because even after I said we both wanted our nails done the male Asian ignored me and told the woman "you got them". Ok so I wait I thought, and had my daughter go first. A woman comes in halfway through my daughter's nails and the man shoots up, sits her down, offers her a drink and immediately sets her up for nails. Wtf?! I thought he wasn't a worker which is why he didn't tend to me. I could've been done at the same time as my daughter. NO ONE WAS THERE! After seeing how her nails were ending up though, I was glad I didn't go. I asked my daughter if she even still wanted to get waxed and she said let's just try it and it was a decision we both ended up regretting. When she was done I was livid! She began breaking out in front of the Asian woman's eyes and myself and she didn't even acknowledge it! When I questioned upset it she said it was normal. When it was time to pay she even rudely asked me how much I was going to tip her!!! Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh WTF?! Now here I am four days later still trying to get rid of my daughter's upper lip breakout! Beware! I immediately booked her an appointment with a Dr. for her lip area in case she caught something from that place and a new appointment with an actual professional to remove and redo her nails! read more

I knew that this place was under new ownership because the people that used to run it were a family unit. They went under during Covid and that's a shame. I went in to get an under arm and bikini wax to my usual spot, Sydney Nails, on Avenue L. However, the lady who does waxing was not there today. I chose this place as my second option since I knew they offered waxing services. I was taken to the back room by an older woman, who was a little rough on my under arms, but she got the job done. When it came to my bikini area, I told her that it was going to be quite a lot of hair. All she kept saying during the waxing was, "Wow. Wow. Wow." I felt uncomfortable and she was making me feel self-conscious as if she had never seen a case like mine before. She even stopped halfway through and said that she couldn't do anymore- and that she wouldn't do anymore. I paid for a service that I didn't get... I will never come back here. read more

I have been going here for a while but infrequently. It is located very close to where I live and I've felt like the service was good and price was fair. I only go for pedicures and I do my own manicures. For the longest time there were always several individuals doing nails and toes, waxing, etc. Now, there is one man and one woman. Apparently they sold it and now it is owned by this couple (I'm assuming they are married.) When I went in about a month ago, the woman gave me a pedicure and it was good. Everything seemed normal but I was the only person in there which was never the norm for this place. Then I went in today and when I walked in the woman was laying in one of the pedicure stations (I mean laying) and watching her phone. I thought, well maybe she's on a break?? The man got up to help me and two kids that were there grabbed all their stuff and scrambled to the back. I assume these little ones were the couples kids. The man proceeded to do my pedicure and he seemed to start off fine but then he literally cut me with cuticle nippers! I mean straight up went deep into my big toe and didn't say a word!!! I should've said something and didn't (yes, I know...). I looked up and he grabbed this bottle of blue stuff and put a drop on the cut and still said nothing - no sorry, nothing. He continued. He did not clean under my toes at all, did not attempt any type of ingrown nail search, and only focused on clipping the cuticle. He also did not clip my actual toe nails. He then swiftly went into the massage, hot stone, and then polish. I was very annoyed and kept trying to think of a good way to say something and just decided I needed to get the polish and leave. In the meantime, the woman had slowly dosed off and is now sleeping in one of the pedicure chairs, she wakes up after some time, stands up and goes to the back. I could tell the man was very proud of his work and at no time did he ever mention cutting me and me bleeding. He charged me full price, I paid the bill and left. I will not go back. I believe they just are not getting enough business and so they have really gotten lazy. I'm very disappointed but will find a new place. read more

Hopefully this Nail Pro and Spa is the correct location on Ave L and 20th in Lancaster Ca. I don't know if the woman who helped me knew what she was doing. She put the gel light right on top my freshly painted toes, skipped over toenails, didn't put the gel light on (numerous times), and didn't completely cover toenails with polish. I will never go to this salon again. And watch how they charge for services, $5 more here and there. read more

This place is a gem! Went in for a basic manicure and pedicure and she did a very thorough job. No criticism over how dry my hands are like I get from every other nail salon. Today was the worst now dip powder experience I've ever had. They drilled my nails down too far I felt it hurt in the nail bed, hit several of my cuticles, to take the old dip powder off I was put in this vat of acetone up to half my fingers. The shaping of my nails is horrible. Not to mention that was only one person doing any of the manicures and pedicures. I will never go back. read more

My first time here was great! Gel mani & pedi. I was in and out. They were polite and I didn't have to remove my headphones. I just relaxed and looked great when I left. Today, I didn't like the color once the applied it and asked to change it... huge energy shift. They started acting very bothered by me. The woman who was doing my pedi just up and left and didn't even say like he's going to finish up because I have another client or nothing like I wasn't even a person. Then he painted my toes but didn't clean up the stains from the tiny mess that happens sometimes. Instead of a gel mani this time I asked for acrylics. I told him upfront that I was very sensitive. Well, he cut my finger open with the manual nail file! He was so brute! He did NOT apologize! When he was done applying the gel polish he wiped the crap out of my finger that I had just showed him he cut. I yelped as a reaction because I was on my phone and he got so upset I guess because he looked at me so angry and just dropped oil all over my fingers and I asked him to please just ignore my finger that was cut. He did a lap putting away his things as I say there wondering when he would rub the oil in as it was a Manicure/full set. So I have been going to the Nail Pro and spa since I was in high school. I am now 26 years old and a young adult. To my surprise I went today and they have complete new ownership. They are not personable at all. They want to charge you for every little single thing they do. And they don't even do a great job. When I asked if they switched ownership they were rude about it and insulted the old owners. They said they charge more because they're at luxury nail salon. I would not recommend you going to the salon. For a regular pedicure and a gel manicure it was almost $90. Then I had my baby in the car seat they did not want to give me a chair to let my baby sit up off the floor. While they were doing my pedicure they even splashed my six month old with water on accident. read more

I have waited at other places for over an hour and am really happy that I've never had to wait more than a few minutes here!! This really is in response to Shirley Z. She came in and the shop has 4 customers quietly get nails and feet treated. Shirley apparently was upset that she couldn't sit in a 4000.00 chair used for paying customers to receive a pedicures. Chairs that over time and repeated use require maintenance. Shirley was cussing at the lady doing the pedicure for her friend calling her a F@"$ing Bi:&@ demanding she get names and that her 'potential ' business was no longer going to occur at this shop. After they exited the building....everyone in the shop agreed she was out of line, rude and childish for not realizing this is a business not your personal resort. This is literally the worst salon I've ever been to in the AV, and I've lived here for 20 years. We came in with an appointment for 4 pedicures. They did my sisters' and my mom's at the same time, while I sat around and waited for someone to get to me (when we made the appointment, they ensured us they could do the 4 and have us finished by 10). They finished the 3 before anyone even started on me, and at that point my feet were pruned and the water was cold to the touch. At that point, I told the woman to just paint them, since we didn't have time for the whole pedi since it was now 10:50 (9am appointment) and my little sister's bridal shower started at 11. She then proceeded to charge us for a full pedicure for me, when she didn't do anything to my feet except file them down a little and even them out. Didn't get a massage, lotion, anything, just pruned feet and nail polish. I also asked for gel and she didn't even set the polish with a UV light. I asked about that and she said it didn't need it and it's still wet, hours later. They use illegal practices in California (I'm a licensed cosmetologist), and their salon is filthy and will be reporting them to the state board and health department for these. I'll also be keeping a very close eye on my credit card statement for that charge. This is the second time I've been here and I will never be back. I'll always give a second chance, but this place didn't even deserve the first one. read more

I took my 8 year old son with me because I had no one to take care of him (first time I ever do this) and they denied me service because of it. At first the guy asked us to wait outside so we did, after about 15 mins the lady came out and said, "the kid cannot wait inside." I fully understand that there are new policies due to COVID-19 however, my son and I were both wearing masks and there were people there before us waiting inside even though, they weren't there to get their nails done. After I wrote my review? She wanted to charge 80$ for something extremely different (easier) than these brown nails. When I told her she charged 55$ for way longer she cut them super short then started talking about me so I pointed out and pulled out pictures to show her and then she stopped talking about me. So she then charged 60$ for what I didn't want and after I waited and sat 1 1/2hrs I didn't want to be rude so I let her finish the job the paid with no tip. Sorry but it seemed after being a loyal customer and after I wrote a great review in front on her , she switched on me. I'm six months pregnant and all I wanted was a very nice pedicure and a relaxing environment and boy that was the last thing I experienced today....The boy that they have in the front answering phones and preparing the pedicure stalls is rude. I told him my water was too cold he changed it and turned it on completely hot!!! Then I told him it was too hot so he turned it on completely cold!!! They turn away the shape that you want for your acrylic nails and make you get what they want to do. They don't even use the sanitizing bags in the pedicure bowls. They had me sitting in the water for at least 20 minutes before they could get to me because they were taking on at least 2ppl at a time. Also I have never heard of not putting just the top gel coat over regular polish I thought that was possible according to them it's not possible at all and I had no choice I had to get the gel. I give two stars because the staff is friendly and were very nice to my daughter. The manicure and pedicure were also good. I am concerned about sanitation practices of this establishment. I asked the lady to wear gloves, she told me that they were out, and I wasn't getting the callus remover treatment anyway. I was nicked while getting my cuticles cut, okay accidents happen, she said I wasn't bleeding, so I must have just been pinched. Now my big toe is infected and I had to visit the doctor to have it lanced since the cut was in the cuticle bed and there really is not a way to treat it at home by myself.
