I've been visiting Bobby for 4 years now, and typically I'm a little hard on my nails & my hands which is typically never a problem. I've been doing full sets for those 3 years, and decided to switch it up this year. I've started treating myself to pedicures and gel manicures for the first time, and I each time I've visited since September has been less then pleasant. The very first time my pedicure nail polish completely chopped off 1 day after getting them painted. They were able to repaint them for me, but driving from Washougal can be very hard. On 1/28 I went in for a gel manicure with basic wear and tear on my nails, the basic cuticle cut was needed, and my hands were a little dry. The problem was- my "manicure" was Bobby cutting my cuticles and then painting my nails. For $35, I expected what the description describe including puffin wax I believe for my hands, which I did not receive. My hands were not dealt with gently, or with care. With cutting and filing my cuticles I can't imagine what went wrong, and why I ended up bleeding so much. Nothing was taken care of, and pressure was not applied & the "manicure" was not paused so we could take care of the bleeding, instead we painting my nails on top of the blood, and cured the polish 3x. Now, I'm left with bloody gel polish on 2/5 of my fingers on my right hand. I will NOT be returning, and have unfortunately over the years turned many of my friends over to nail pro, and I unfortunately cannot share the same opinion anymore. I went to nail pro for the first time. Walking in the atmosphere was good and the staff were nice. My nail tech was Bobby. I might give the salon a second chance but would not have Bobby do my set. I got a full set of acrylics for my birthday. There are a few nails that he did not apply acrylic all the way back therefore it looks like I need a fill just after walking out of the salon. He also did not completely cover the nails with polish. He told me he wouldn't do a certain design so I compromised. The under part of my nails is extremely messy with clumps of acrylic I cannot get off. He also used his dermal tool too close to my cuticle on my thumb which drew blood. He did not apologize for that, I am still dealing with that being painful. Again I might give the salon a second chance but I would not allow Bobby to do my nails again. read more

After getting gel nails here a few times, my granddaughter went in to have the gel nails removed and instead of soaking them off, they were pried off which resulted in one nail bleeding and the top layer pulled off. It's been over a week and her nail is still painful. At the time I didn't realize how badly her nail was damaged and we were still charged $12 for the removal. He asked me how I wanted the length and shape after he had already cut them. I wanted them long and he gave me short nails. The middle fingers and pinky fingers were crooked. I stopped by this place without reading any reviews because my feet were looking busted and I figured anything would be an improvement. This place is overpriced considering the quantity and quality of services provided. I paid $40 for a pedicure plus an additional $2 fee for filing and buffing my nails. Shouldn't that be included with the price of the pedicure? No foot/leg massage, no cuticle softener, no callus remover, none of the accoutrements you'd expect for a $42 pedicure. I'm a licensed cosmetologist, I know what it's like to work in the beauty industry right now. It sucks!!! I would never shit on a business for one or two small inconveniences. But the pedicures my partner and I received today were hands down the WORST we've ever had. My feet and legs hurt like HELL. They didn't know how to cut out ingrown nails, (they literally made it 10x worse) and they cut living skin off of a couple of my toes. Then comes the biggest issue, SANITATION. Everything looked absolutely disgusting and dirty. The employees were SHARING scrubs without using spatulas. This place was horrible (or at least the lady I had was). I went in with my sister and ended up getting a gel pedicure for $32 and I was not impressed. I have done my own gel toe nails before and they came out better than this. The nail polish on my toes ended up bubbly and all over my cuticles which the lady did not clean. It looks like a mess for $32.00! If I'm paying $32.00 for a pedicure I expect it to at least look like I went to a salon to do it. Not impressed and will not be going back. When I lived in Portland, I was never able to find a better nail salon than Mississippi Nails. When I moved to Vancouver, I didn't think I would, either. I tried several before going to Nail Pro. I always go to Wyn and am happy with her. I can't review other technicians, but customers seem really happy with their nails when I have been there. Here is why I think they are the best in town. (1) They're professionals at cuticle removal; (2) when you tell them you want short toenails, they actually make them short, and they painlessly alleviate ingrown toenails; (3) they apply three, not just two, layers of polish, whether you're using regular or gel, AND (as long as you ask), they apply polish onto the outer edge of the nail; (4) everyone there gets along fine, creating an upbeat atmosphere; (5) they speak Vietnamese between themselves, but they speak English to their customers, with an emphasis on talking to customers, making us feel welcome and "part of the group". (6) Once, when a particularly rude customer got in a heated argument with another customer, they were able to de-escalate the problem quickly (7) it seems very clean and tidy, and of course they have liners for your foot bath. read more

I don't see use of a new nail file between customers, and i never see anyone cleaning. When the other nail techs aren't working on someone's nails, they are just sitting in the massage chairs. How tacky. They really need to change some things around there and deep clean because it's disgusting. I suggest bringing your own nail file if you go here. I will not be coming back. Wow. Just.....wow. This was probably the worst gel manicure I have ever had. This place wasn't all that clean and had a lot of fumes. The manicurist I had was very nice but hacked away at my cuticles and wasn't super careful about getting polish on them. She didn't use a primer or a bonder, and right away I noticed the top coat looked dingy because she didn't bother wiping my nails off with alcohol after the last cure. The worst part is how my nails look after only 8 days. Every single one is chipped and lifted. Please see my photo. I will never be returning. My one regret about this was leaving a $15 tip. There is literally nothing "Pro" about this salon. Every time I went here the workers are always rushing to finish your nails. The women are mean and seem like they can care less. This time I came in with my mom. I got the dip nail and my mom got fake nails with dip nail polish. My nails look like giant glued on gum balls with a huge chip on the side. Which the lady told me that it was already there. When it wasn't. And my moms nails look like they had a hole in them and they tried to refill it. It's not even. I felt extremely unsafe there, everyone is sitting right next to each other, employees are not wearing masks properly, the place looks dirty and ran down. The lady who was doing my nails cut my toe while doing pedicure and couldn't accommodate a simple request for my manicure. Guess what, my gel manicure started chipping after 3 DAYS! On the surface, this was an excellent pedicure. And possibly the FRIENDLIEST nail salon I've ever been in. Their mellow pop music contributed to a relaxing atmosphere, and the employees all seemed pretty positive. Also really liked the koi fish tank in the middle of the room - very meditative. Though the space is nothing fancy, if the polish holds up the way it should, I will keep the review at four stars. Arrived around 1:00 pm on a Thursday, without an appointment, and was helped right away. The older lady spent about an hour on my feet, which included - hands-down - the BEST foot massage I've ever received in a salon. There wasn't quite as much attention to my cuticles as my usual place gives, so they still look a little raggedy, hence my demotion of one star. That said, she was REALLY careful and attentive to the polish, so that looks fantastic and if it doesn't start to rub off, I would gladly go back. I'm always a little wary of unknown salons, since many dilute their polish such that it doesn't last the way it should. My place at home stays put for a month, in other words, until it starts to grow out; so I work by that standard. My value in a pedicure is thus based in longevity, so the true test will unfold in the next days... UPDATE: I *really* wanted this place to be awesome, b/c the service was SO nice. But the polish just didn't hold up as long as it should. :( B/c my cuticles weren't thoroughly cleaned up, the 'grown-out' look was already there around 2 weeks, and by three weeks everything was chipping off.
