When I'm in town for work, a wedding, or visiting family, I often stop by here to get my nails done if I didn't get a chance to get them down before coming down to Georgia. The quality of service definitely varies by time of day, day of the week, and technicians available. When I was here the first time, I was here on a Saturday morning, and there was no line. I was able to get a manicure and pedicure within an hour! It was clean, nicely done, no nicks or cuts, and I was satisfied leaving the place. A great 5 star experience! The next time was on a Friday afternoon, and they were a little busy, so my manicure and pedicure took about 1.5 hours. I was nicked once and my french manicure wasn't quite right and the polish on my toes was smudged as she slipped my sandal back on - - so I had to have that redone. 3 stars. The last time I was there with my Mom, and it was Sunday afternoon (right after they open); we had to wait 20 minutes for any attention. I sat in a pedicure seat for about 20 minutes and the warm water went cold. My mom sat a manicure station for just as long without anyone paying attention to her nails. Eventually, different techs attended to us but the one working on my nails somehow made a mess and left dust and nail powder all over my shirt. My mom said her manicure wasn't quite right either. Both her manicure and my manicure and pedicure were finished at the same time with questionable quality. 2 stars. Next time, I'll either get them done before flying down or find another place. read more

I went to this place today and the service was absolutely horrible. The lady had the tub with boil hot water. she did not do the usual massage. she threw me out before my toe nails dried. she charges me and did not hand me the receipt and turned away. I was kind enough to tip her. I just want to tell the manager that please do not treat your customers this way. she never even tried to make small conversation with me. My feet are so dry now which should not be that way. I will never go to this store and will tell mg family and friends not to go either. This is my favorite nail salon in Gwinnett! I have been coming here on and off for the past 8 years or so. I have tried numerous salons all over Gwinnett, but I always come back to my tried and true. You just can't beat their service and prices. While most places charge $30 for a gel manicure, Nail Protect only charges $25 and always does a wonderful job! Although the salon is small, it's always clean. The techs are fast, efficient, and thorough. They're very friendly, too. The salon is simple. They do not offer drinks or a lot of extra stuff, but they do listen to what you want and deliver. My nails look clean and the gel polish lasts for up to 3 weeks. I can't speak for their nail art skills because I don't usually get intricate designs. The simple designs (lines, hearts, etc) I've requested have always turned out fine. Even when they get busy, they do not try to rush the job. They have always taken good care of me and the friends I bring. read more

My nails usually last three weeks without shipping. They are great at patterns and have a great color selection. Their pedicures are all wonderful as well. The hot stones are so relaxing! read more

Had a very negative racist experience with this particular nail shop. I even posted a review on Google because I want for everyone to know that the people in this shop are racist and rude. Do not go here; spend your money with people who will appreciate it, especially if you are a person color! I hope they think about that the next time.They allow four white people to be serviced ahead of black people after making the black wait 30 to 35 minutes for service. I wwent in today trying to get a pedicure. There were SO many sanitation issues. First, the technician went from one spa chair to mine and attempted to touch me with the same gloves on. Eeww. I asked her to change her gloves and she complied. We then proceed. When it's time to file my nails I notice old pink polish on the nail file along with other gunk. I asked her if they reuse their files and sponges, she said yes. I think asked to speak to the manager who I informed was a safety violation. I let her know buffers and files can not be sanitized and are meant for one time use... she did not care AT all! She was rude, short, and not concerned about the potential infections they are handing out. YUCK. I got out the chair and left... I stopped at the next nail salon I saw and they understand sanitation and cleanliness. I will never return to this salon. read more

I have only lived in the area for 2 years.. not knowing anyone in the area, I tried out 4 or 5 places before I found Nail Protect. It is now my go to place. They are clean and the staff are all friendly and make it a point to learn your name. I have never had to wait to be seated and only once did I have to wait awhile for them to get to me. (That was on a Thursday before a holiday weekend, so I didn't mind the wait) They have always giving me what I ask for, without pushing extras on me. They are now offering facials! I went in today for a mani pedi, opted to go for the deluxe pedi with hot stone massage. Heavenly At the end they told me about the facial for 35.00! I said, yes! I went to get my sns removed and they took over 45 mins to even attend to me, which I could have been okay with because i was a walk in and they were fairly busy. However once the lady started removing the sns, she nicked my fingers and cuticle beds multiple times, drawing blood, no apologies, nothing! Poured acetone over it, wrapped it and again ignored me for the next 45 minutes or so. She then had the audacity to say I only charged you 10$ because usually its 15$. Stay away..I left with deep grooves on my nails, super sensitive nails and multiple nicked nail beds. read more

The staff was rude, and laughed at my daughter when she asked about getting a design on her nails. The acrylic nail shapes were uneven, and the SNS color they put on my daughter did not match what was on the sample at all (think mud vs forest green), and we're put out when we asked about. She ended up putting emerald green sparkles on her nails to cover the brown, but the sparkles were poking out from under the top coat onto her fingers. What was supposed to be a fun mother daughter outing resulted in a very expensive 2 hour trip in which we were disappointed in the end result. read more

overpriced, dirty and unprofessional. the nail tech ripped off my acrylic nail after i told her it was coming off and she laughed when she did. she also showed it to the other nail techs and they laughed as well. meanwhile i was holding back tears and sweating from my nail ripped in half, gushing blood. she poured straight alcohol on my bleeding nail without telling me what she was doing and i was still managing not to cry some how. when time to pay came, she asked me how much to tip her and i asked for a receipt first. made me feel really uncomfortable. 4 of nail just broke 3 days later after getting my fill in. can't wait to go back to my old nail tech. regret trying this salon just because it was close to my work. read more

Came to this place because my friend told me they were good and had reasonable prices, NEVER HAVE I EVER HATED MY NAILS BEFORE. I did an sns set with tips, they look AWFULLLLLL! Very poor service. I was getting my nail polish (sns) removed and the lady almost burnt my cuticles with the electric polish remover. I had asked to use acetone but the lady denied. Next came time to do my manicure, and she cut my cuticles and it wouldn't stop bleeding. Not apologetic and very bad service! I made a review a few months ago, and I had a great experience on my first visit. However, the past 3 times I have visited the place, I had terrible experiences. All in which are too long and detailed to go over in depth. Overall I'm giving this salon 1 star because of the service. They are rude and they are impatient. I was embarrassed to have brought friends in because I recommended them all based off of my first visit. I will not be returning ever again. Luckily there is a nail salon in walking distance of this one and they are the complete opposite. I will make that nail salon my regular salon. I do not recommend anyone to ever come here. I have been having my nails done here for 10 years or more. There is never a long wait and they work very hard to fit me in when they do have customers waiting. I have never had a bad manicure here. The same ladies have been working here as long as I have been coming here. They are highly skilled as well as being friendly and sweet. I've been coming here for at least 15 years. I have tried other salons along the way (when I was out of town, etc.) and have never found one I was happier with. They do not skimp on product and my acrylic nails with gel polish only have to redone because they grow out - the "done" part looks just as good after 6 weeks as it did the day I had them done. The staff is friendly and willing to do whatever I ask. There is very little turnover here and they all do a great job. Highly recommend! read more
