Though staff were friendly and accommodating. I had pictures and ideas of what I wanted my nails to look like. And trying not to be a jerk, showed the picture ideas. It seemed like it wasn't too much to ask for. I will have appreciated them taking in artistic value to finish the job and my not having to direct their every move. After a bad experience at Kim's Nails the week before, I came here to get my nail polish (from Kim's Nails) removed, my very-worn cuticles cared for, and a basic manicure. I walked-in without an appointment at 1:30 on a Saturday, and was happy with everything about this place from soup to nuts. The salon was busy (a good sign), but they fit me in immediately. Everyone there was very friendly from the start, and even put up with my indecisiveness on nail color. The woman who did my nails took her time (in a good way) and paid close attention to every detail. I ended-up deciding on a french manicure, and she did a fantastic job. She even got me a Diet Coke to enjoy while I got my nails done! And all for $19!! I couldn't be happier with the experience, and will definitely be back! read more

She ended up spraying the water onto my chair and getting my bottom wet because she wasn't paying attention. My friend got a lot longer, more attentive massage and pedicure from her lady. Not from around here so I decided to give this place a try, based on reviews and convenience. I got a full set, painted put on. The staff was friendly, but didn't talk to me the whole time she did my nails. The pricing was fine, $20. The nails were done well, but not amazing. A few little nicks in the paint that I had to ask her to fix and the end of the nails aren't painted well. Their selection of color wasn't broad at all either. Thankfully I found 1 I liked. Nail Retreat - Dip powder French manicure - Nail Salons Near Me - Wichita Falls, Texas

$40 and not even 24 hours later.. Just peeled right off while doing laundry. Gel nails. I went in at 5:30 and they closed at 7. I asked if they could do a pedi and a fill with color. They said yes. I could tell she was rushing and she kept mentioning that they closed at 7. She had messed up on one nail by filing it way too short. She seemed annoyed that I asked her to redo it but she did and fixed it and it was fine. Then she kept mentioning again that they close at 7. Okay, I get it. But you told me you can get me in. Don't tell a client that you can do something and then do a poor job while complaining with sighs in between. So rude. I could've gotten a pedicure done later on somewhere else, but that was their responsibility to tell me they didn't have time. Then, to try to save time, she brought out another LED lamp (and I'm guessing this is where my nails went wrong). Another lady told her (after she'd already used it and was almost finished) that the second lamp was not used for gel nails. I asked if my nails were going to turn out okay and she said yes they'll be fine. Gel dries instantly, she said. There shouldn't be a problem, she said. On top of that, she left before my service was over. The package I paid for included a lotion hand massage which she left without completing while another lady finished my design. I said it wasn't a big deal thinking I'd at least be discounted for the rushed service or lack there of. Now I'm here, after mentioning to them that I lived over an hour away, with this. No where to go to fix it. I've NEVER had a gel polish peel off like this. Ever. I'm so frustrated and this is probably not going to do anything at all but relieve my frustrations. What irritates me the most is that I was completely respectful and polite the entire time. I was never rude. I told them thank you for their services and left a tip even after she refused it. When she messed up I said it was fine. When she left early I said it was okay please don't worry about it. But now, it's not. It's rude and unacceptable. I've heard great things but my experience said otherwise. Don't think I'll be revisiting. read more

Originally I had rated this place 5 stars... Well the was the very first time I went here. Since then, it's gotten progressively worse. First time: staff was extremely nice, service was incredible, and the work that was done was so high quality. I've been here about 5 or so times since and today was my last. The work the last few times has been so-so and today's was just bad. The staff hasn't been as nice as the first time... Maybe it was just a good day for them that day. Today I felt like I was in their way or something. Bottom line, there are too many nails salons here to go somewhere that acts like they could be doing something better when I go there.. Especially since I'm a regular and great tipper... since my mom was always in a service job, tipping high has always been important to me. I'm not saying "don't go here, it's horrible!"... It's sill an average place (hence the 3 stars still). I'm just saying it's not a nail "home". It's more like an emergency place when your favorite place is super busy. Or maybe you'll catch them on a better day. read more

This is the only nail salon I will go to in Wichita Falls and I have been satisfied with their work every time. One of the women who works there, An, does a fantastic french gel manicure and my favorite part is that it isn't terribly expensive. All in all, Nail Retreat is a wonderful salon. read more
