My fiancé and I visited this location for the first time, and we were highly disappointed with our experience. The quality of work on both our hands and feet was far below expectations. I paid over $200 for what was supposed to be a regular manicure and pedicure. Unfortunately, my hands were barely buffed, and my feet did not receive proper attention at all. My fiancé got gel on her hands and feet, but within just a few days, her nails began cracking and breaking. We decided to try this salon after regularly going to another nail spa, but this experience was extremely disappointing and did not meet even basic standards. We won't be returning. read more

I had an awful, highly disappointing experience at Nail Shadow in Snellville. The salon is under new management, and the quality has plummeted. When you spend your hard-earned money, you expect basic professionalism. quality service, and safety. This salon provides none of that. They cannot seem to keep their staff. My previous technician Mindy is gone; I was forced to use a new technician named Mary. She was incredibly aggressive and actually stabbed my toe with a tool, causing me physical pain. When she applied my polish, she missed the corners of my nails. When I tried to politely point this out, she waved me off repeatedly as if I were bothering her. To make matters worse, they lacked the basic accessories needed to perform standard nail art. The atmosphere here is completely fake. The staff seems miserable, they do not speck to one another, and there is no genuine human warmth. The salon's cleanliness is also lacking compared to other local spots. Do not be fooled by their fake Louis Vuitton raffle giveaway. Save your money and your feet. There are plenty of upscale, truly clean, and professional nail salons in Snellville. I will never return and strongly advise everyone to stay away. I have photos and I was advised to file an official complaint against the salon with the Georgia Secretary of State Professional Licensing Boards and the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers. It's worth it to file the complaint to protect the public. read more

I came in an hour and a half before closing asking if they had anyone available to do a full set and asked if that was enough time (knowing it is, just being respectful) and they said yes, I t'll be just a minute. I waited 40 minutes and then the lady that did my nails was rushing the entire time because she wanted to get out of there for the night. Ended up with uneven lengths and bumpy nails. She didn't even put another coat on after I asked her to because the color was so light you could literally see the tips through it. First timer... Passed by several times but hesitated on stopping trying to stay loyal to my nail tech. This location has been here maybe 5 months or so. When I arrived I was greeted and asked to sign in. I must point out I like the loyalty points program. You sign in with your phone #. No wait time maybe 4 guests ahead of me. I had the usual Fill in and Pedi. When asked what color, I said American for my nails and all white pedi. The nail tech was like I don't know what you mean??? I was like ok red light. The American fill looks more natural than French. SNS powder... I was pleased with the service but the water could have been hotter. It was lukewarm but it was ok. The same for the hot towels and stones- warm. Total bill $110???. I usually pay $95 to $98 for pedi, fill in and brow wax. Thank God I did not get the brow wax.. The mail tech was very sweet. She noted she has been doing nails 4yrs. Been at this location 1 month. I may come back if all else fails....But for now I'll stick with my nail tech that I've had over 20yrs. The interior is nice. Mindy was my nail tech today and she's very detailed while having a very delicate hand. I don't usually write reviews but wow, im speechless. So I recently moved down here from NY and I was very skeptical in trying any other nail salon but I knew it had to be done. I ran into this spot just from reading reviews online so I gave them a shot. Now tbh, the first lady who did my nails did not do the best job. My nails were very crooked but I did not notice until they started to grow out. I gave them one more shot and this time I went with Eric. Eric is more my vibe so I'll stick to him. He paid attention to all my details and executed..... Also, the unlimited open bar is a plus for us busy moms! Now as far as pricing goes, I would say I am spending just about the same amount as I would be at my old salon so I don't feel finessed at all. It seems like after I told him tomorrow's gonna be my birthday. He was plotting. I asked for a long ombré Nails. Not hard at all, but he started to f me up. After he put on the white, he proceeds to put on the pink acrylic on top so much that the white doesn't even show anymore. And I asked him if he was going to drill a little bit so the white would show again and he said no I'm just gonna use a nail file. Long story short once he pulled out that nail file he messed up my square nails, and turned them into some coffin nails that were so crooked you would've thought they were doing the dougie . Now that was my left hand and he was about to do the right and I was like... hold on big man. I look at it and when I look at the back of my hand, it looks like all my fingernails are given different turn signals. And before he even made this diabolical mess he let me know that it would be $90. Me self-respect that I have let him know. It was a no Bueno. And just cut them guys off because I do not want to continue to waste my time or his. Why this heifer start cutting my nails off and breaks my real nail. His little sidekick that's always eating at the front and never working. Wants to tell me the only thing that's crooked is my middle finger when all he was looking at was his sandwich. I had high hopes for this nail salon. I called to see if they offer builder gel. I was told they do and when I went there the nail technician opened a brand new bottle of builder gel. This meant that no one other than me had requested this service since this is a newly opened salon. I trusted that they knew what they were doing but the nail technician then proceeded to read the manual that comes with the bottle and started speaking in her native tongue to which I could only interpret that she wasn't sure of how to use this product. She started to apply the builder gel but every few minutes she would try to read the manual again as if she wasn't sure if this was the correct way to do this. She also kept texting on her phone and not paying attention to the service she was giving. She did not let my nails cure for the entire time that they needed to as well. The nails looked nice once they were done and I had hoped that all my reservations were in vain. However, 3 days after, my nails started to peel like stickers which was a sure indication that the application was done in poor quality. If it had been 1 nail, I would not have thought anything of it but multiple fingernails on both hands had peeled off (as shown in the pictures). I say this to say, my main complaint is that if you are unsure of how to do a service, don't lie to a client just to make them stay. They charged me full price - close to 67 dollars and the service I received was very poor. I wish I had not spent so much money and I wish the salon had been honest with me that they did not know how to do builder gel. read more
