Nail Station is great. A friend of mine goes here for her nails; I hadn't been here before, but we decided to go together one morning. They were cool with us bringing our kids since they're both really calm babies, and luckily they didn't disprove that on this trip. The staff were really sweet to the babies and helped to calm them down the one or two times one of them started to get fussy, all of which I appreciate. And something that was such a small but ingenious detail: They had the meter number for the parking spaces just outside the shop on display in a few different areas of the store in case you forgot. I've never seen that before, but the moment I did I thought every business with paid street parking outside needs to adopt this practice. My nails also look great. I went for a festive color, a red with some sparkle to it. I love the color but may not get it again because it's a no-chip, and I've only done no-chip a few times before; it hasn't been my bag because it's so hard on my nails. But I figured one time won't hurt... hopefully.... I'd come back though and do a pedicure and manicure. I'm not sure if the prices were high or not because I so rarely do a mani pedi that I can't remember what I've paid at my most recent visit, which was in July (and before that, it was pre pandemic, like October 2019 or something so I have no clue what the going rate is now). The manicure might have been a bit better if she'd used warm water for soaking my hands, but then again I didn't ask her to change it out so obviously it wasn't my biggest concern. The pedicure was really nice and that's generally my favorite part; the massage felt great. And she used hot stones which I've never experienced before. They also do some waxing here and I think some sort of massage; I haven't tried the massage but my friend does it somewhat regularly to help tendinitis and it's helped her a lot. I also like that they have kids' manicure chairs. They're set a bit away from the big chairs but I like that I might be able to come bring her when she's older for a mommy and me spa day. Parking is really easy, at least on the weekend when we were here. It's street only but you're in Bridgeport and it's not necessarily buzzing. That could change since the Ramova--which was recently purchased by some celebrities with Chicago ties--is soon to be under renovation and may bring some more life to the neighborhood, though it's too soon to tell if the hours will conflict. Definitely give them a try and see for yourself. read more

They did a good job on waxing my eyebrows with minimal pain, but my lashes didn't even lasts full 24 hours. I paid 30 dollars for eyebrow wax and strip lashes to be put on and I provided my own strip lashes! While the workers were pleasant, I was dissatisfied with the services. read more

I have several highlights for this place. Also, as I read through the previous reviews, I wanted to mention that this salon is under NEW management so don't trust all the reviews you are reading from years before! It's your standard nail salon when you first walk in. You have to ring the doorbell to get buzzed in. I appreciate this since it adds a sense of security that not just anyone can walk in. Once you're in, they'll greet you and ask you to choose a color. They have a wide selection of colors to choose from! It was so hard to decide between spring colors or glitter! I waited maybe 10 mins on this Saturday afternoon since I was a walk in. Before I got seated, they ask if you would like water! That's a first for me. I opted out since I wasn't thirsty but the thought was highly appreciated. My nail stylist asked for my opinion before doing any work. I got a no chip done and it's so smooth! She put so much care into my nails because she wiped it off several times when it wasn't up to her standards. I didn't even notice any imperfections but she had a good eye. While I was getting my nails done, I noticed that they have a place card with the wifi name and the Chicago parking meter numbers! What a smart idea so that you don't have to go back outside to check the sign. All in all, this nail salon did my no chip in a timely manner with a reasonable price. Went here Saturday got a no chip manicure. Within 6 hours my Polish was already chipping. Thing's are getting worst out here and stop playing around with ppls dough cause, in long run want be good. This is a neighborhood gem of a nail salon - the girls here are kind and proficient at doing nails. The shop itself is airy and bright and well ventilated, and each client is spaced apart comfortably across the space. As a bonus, there's free street parking on Sundays which is always plentiful and even on other days, you'll not find cheaper paid parking options compared to the north side of the city. My manicures and pedicures always last 3-4 weeks depending upon how fast my nails grow and they have a ton of colors, including magnetic paint polishes to choose from. Summer is my go-to person and her colleague Winnie is amazing at pedicures and massages. Prices are competitive and it's best to call ahead in case they're busy. read more

I went there on Mother's Day because everywhere else in my neighborhood was closed. I asked for no chip and a over lay on my big toe. I just knew she was gone mess my toes up because she kept asking me the same question. Basically I paid $52 for my toes and it don't even look like I got them done. My toe nails don't have a gloss to them and my feet didn't even have oil at the end. The over lay nail is uncomfortable and nobody in the shop knew how to do it so they looked it up online then proceeded to do my toe nail. Please DO NOT buy the gift cards!!! I typically really enjoy my experience at Nail Station, I love how they do my mani/pedi. But upon going to use a gift card that I was given as a gift some months ago I was told it had a zero balance (no exp. date) when I know there was $40-$50 left on it! The gift card was originally $100 and I used it once, the same women took my payment-I'm assuming the owner/manager. My mistake was not asking for a receipt! I legit told myself to never come back here again but I knew was able to get service done at 11:15am on a Thursday without waiting. I came in with my daughter and got a full set acrylic- no chip. I got my nails done on April 5th... it's April 9th and I already need a fill in!!!! This is unacceptable!!!! This was the case last time too but I decided to give it another shot hoping the outcome would be different. The technician was nice but nice isn't going to pay for the fill in I already need ONLY 4 DAYS LATER!!! Save your money. Go somewhere else!!! You've been warned. I'm a bit torn about this nail salon. On the positive, the nail estheticians are friendly and patient, and prices are very decent in comparison to most salons. A regular manicure and pedicure will run you about $32 and a no-chip gel manicure is $24-$28. I will say that the quality depends on who paints your nails. Unfortunately I did not get the names of the women who worked there, but the nail esthetician who did my regular manicure left A LOT of empty space in between my cuticle/nail bed from where the nail polish started. I tried to get her to go deeper down towards the cuticle, but she didn't really get it. But she did an awesome job on my pedicure, with the nail polish extending all the way to the cuticle area. I have no clue why there was such a disparity in her work. She did a great job in painting my daughter's toe nails though. My 4 year old loved her pink polish with a sparkle overcoat. I would probably try again, but I'll definitely ask for my sister's nail esthetician who did a better job on her no-chip manicure. read more

2 horrible no-chip manicures within one week.... My sister and I went to the Nail Station because my usual salon didn't have an appointment for two people and we were very pressed for time. I called ahead of time to see if they had an opening for two people, and they did. We get there and there was only one manicurist available, the other one was on her way. So, the colors... not a good selection... at all. Some were empty, you couldn't really see what the color was for most of them. On to the actual manicure... I think the woman who did my manicure was the owner, her name was Amy. The entire manicure took 25 minutes!!! I have never been out of a salon in less than 45 with a no-chip! My usual girl takes an hour and does an amazing job! (Chocolate for your Body!) She never used a cuticle gel, she barely pushed them back. She didn't cut any of my hangnails, which weren't bad but could have used some TLC. After filing, she didn't have me wash my hands so they were full of dust. A few swift strokes of the polish and she was done. In the meantime the other manicurist came in and started my sisters nails. I was done a good 15 minutes before her. And in that time I noticed the woman who did my nails took the tools that she used threw them in the sink, rinsed them, and then proceeded to put them back in her station to use for the next guest!!!!! NO SANITIZER, NO BAKING, NOTHING BUT WATER!!!! My sisters manicure was ok. I haven't talked to her to see how they are holding up. fast forward 5 days... 9 out of 10 nails are peeling! not chipping, but peeling off. Some were really bad, some were just starting to peel on the sides. I called the nail station and let them know what was going on with my nails. They were very nice and told me to come in to have them fixed. I get there, show the same woman who did my nails how bad they were and she says she'll fix them. No I'm sorry... that's so strange... I've never seen this before. I sit down for her to fix them, and she starts peeling the polish off my nails. I asked her if she could use the acetone to get them off so she didn't damage my nails, and she said she didn't have to because they were peeling right off. Same as last time... no love just polish. She filed off what was left on my nails after she ripped the polish off and started painting. 25 minutes later I was in my car on my way home. fast forward 3 days... 2 nails are already peeling. You can see that the topcoat does not cover the color coat on most nails. It's really bad. If you notice, this is my first yelp review. It's that bad!! I will not be calling her this time. Instead, I will take my voice to yelp. I can not understand how an owner pushes out such low quality work and still has a business. If you have been to a quality nail salon and know what to expect from a business, than I would suggest you stay as far away from this place as possible. read more
