I wish I would have read the reviews for this place before I went there told her I wanted my nails shortened she did that but left them so thick that they look totally horrible also got a pedicure the bottom of my feet were still black from my flip-flops no scrub no rub I called them and told him how unhappy I was and could I come back in to have them redo it and they refused said I should've told them before I left only reason I didn't is because they had a line of about five people for just the two of the technicians that were there this place sucks the big one warning to anybody that's thinking that they need a pedicure or manicure avoid this place read more

If I could I would give them no stars I came in at 11 am no customers in the store he said our he couldn't see us until noon. Okay I scheduled the appointment. When I came back still no customers. I sat down and asked to use the bathroom. They don't have one so he showed me where to go. No one wants to have to use the bathroom while getting their nails done. When I got back there were 2 employees there and no customers. It took me 10 minutes to walk through the mall to a bathroom and back. He said he could not take care of me. ? After an hour wait? And still no customers? Maybe he doesn't like me? I am not sure but he was really rude. Then his co-employee said lets go? So they made me wait an hour and decided they had something Better to do? Walked in and asked for a pedicure, they said the wait would be 15 min, which was totally ok. They then asked me to pick a color , which were the only words said to me the entire time.turned the chair massager on for 15 min.. My "spa pedicure" was over before the timer went off for the chair massage. My nails were cut, but not filed or shaped, they didn't even do the basics of a pedicure. my cuticles were not cut, pushed down, nothing!noticed my cuticles had polish all over them whiles sitting there to dry.. No one said to wait for a while until they dried, I waited about 10 min, put my slippers on, and they told me the charge, approx $43 , I walked out disgusted. Walk ins Welcome - NOT. Really? We walked in at 2pm and asked for 2 mani/pedis, and we were told they were booked for the day! As an aside, there were no lights on inside at all, and only 2 people working - the same crotchety man I've read about in other reviews of this place. This place is the worst customer service ever. They yelled at me for talking to other customers. Saying I was talking bad about them . When a customer asked me if you pay $70 for service they should do it right I said yes. Will never ever go back. Not worth even if they are cheap. Two thumbs down. read more

Very nice! But when I went in there were only two people working there and it was a saturday morning. My mom had to wait for over an hour just to get a manicure! I got a mani pedi which was nice, but I was left sitting around waiting many times. read more

Worst pedicure ever. I went the day before and they closed arly. Went again the next day. The massage didn't exist and they never even trimmed around my toes. The polish was on my cuticles. They had a don't careless attitude. read more

Mean staff. Walked in smiling, looking to receive a nail fill and a pedicure. There were two people working, a man & woman. The woman asked can she help me. I said yes, would just like to know how much a fill would be on my nails, which I showed her. She said "$30 if no change the color". I then asked how much for the pedicure. She said, "$25. It's on the board" and pointed to the board that you cannot see when you walk into the salon. I thought that was very rude, as she said it like that in front of customers. Why would I want to give them my $55, plus tip, with an attitude like that? I always ask what the fees are up front at these salons in Hawaii, because when you cash out, rarely are you charged what is on their boards. It's usually always higher. On top of that, they said it would be a half hour before they started even though they were not busy. I just left and will not go back. p.s. I am a local, from Kona. Prices at our salons are crazy compared to non- tourist locations on the mainland. My friends who moved away always brag about their $7 pedicures and $14 fills. read more

LOCALS & TOURIST DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON! As I walked in I should have known that this was not a good nail salon because it was empty only one customer being served. There was a guy named Paul and a lady who refused to give us her name. As my daughter and I walked in Paul said "hi what did you want?". I replied "I have an appointment". The girl came to us and took us to her desk and asked "what would you like to do" (not friendly at all and did not smile once). I told her we need extensions and get art. She then asked us if we want gel polish or regular. Then I asked her what is the difference because I have gotten gel before and I was not ever asked that. She said "gel polish is last longer", so I said ok the do that. She brought colors in polish containers to us and not nail sample gel colors so I knew this was not right. My daughter showed her the picture of a simple art gel nail for graduation. Then she said "I can't do that I don't have that art". So I asked her what can you do, do you have sample pictures? She said "no, you can show me pictures and I can tell you if I can do it". Then she said "I can't take this" and walked away to the back of the salon. She did not even tell us she was not going to help us. I sat there waiting for her to come back and my daughter was shocked. Then the guy Paul said to me "you are local why are you giving her a hard time?" At this point now I'm sooo upset and I asked him "who is the manager or owner because you say you do gel art but you really don't right?" He said "yes we don't do art and the owners name is Paul". I said "wait your name is Paul and you are not the owner?" Paul said "no, I need you to leave". So I basically got kicked out of the salon for mistreating them I guess when they were the ones that have no customer service communication skills and don't know how to gel art nails. Okay, so I'm giving this place an okay because the price was okay, and the service speedy. Just don't expect any warmth or conviviality. I asked about how they clean their basins, and the look on the owner's (?) face was offended. Really? If a customer had not, at that moment, said that she had been coming for 4 years with no problem, I would have left. As it was, I was very eager to get this done so stayed. And it's true: no conversation, watching TV while massaging feet, etc. But it was a 30 minute job, with the spa chair, for $25. Okay. read more

I went here for a pedicure & shellac manicure on 5/6/2013, while on vacation at the Kona Coast Resort (across the street). I called ahead for an appointment. When I arrived I had to wait for 20+ minutes, then had a slow, but excellent pedicure, though the polish was not as thick as when my usual salon. My complaint is with the service- a simple mani-pedi took more than 2 hours. The gal doing my nails was going 2 manicures at the same time, she would do something on me, then move to another table to do something on someone else. There was no conversation and the price was $67 for a pedicure & shellac manicure. Then it DID NOT LAST! a shellac manicure should last at least 2 weeks. I week later I've had 2 nails completely peal off. I would have had similar results with a traditional manicure. read more

Wish this place could be shut down. Zero customer service and rude owner. Booked an appointment the day before for myself, daughter and son. It was my son's birthday and he had never had a pedicure before so this was going to to be a treat for him. When we arrived, they had no record of my appointment in their book. They insisted I must have made the error and booked somewhere else. I said I saw there was a location in Hilo but I confirmed over the phone that it was the Kona location. The man said he would not talk to me anymore and told me to go home a check my phone to see what number I had called. There was no effort made to offer us another time slot, even on another day. He basically waved me off, even after I told him I had specifically booked for my son's birthday. What a complete and utter jerk. Just as aside, we had tried walking in on two previous occasions (our condo is a 5 minute walk away) and hey were closed in the middle of the day so the posted hours are meaningless. Now that I have read other reviews, perhaps it all worked out for the best. I would not have wanted my son's first pedicure experience to be as poor as the other reviews seem to indicate. Will wait until we get back to Vancouver where we always get decent service at the very least and usually quite lovely service. read more
