The quality was horrible. I had acrylic residue on the sides of my nails onto my skin. I was charged $75. For a fill. I about had a heart attack. I guess I should have asked first but the sign said $45 or so. I then heard the guy who did my nails considers himself an artist and charges up for $200 for certain applications. Sorry, not an artist. I regret going and only went because I didn't have time to go to my normal nail salon. I won't be going back there again. I had booked a appointment to get full acrylic set with basic design. I went in and it was going good, shape was good but when he got to the french dip it just went down hill. The french was so ugly. I had also asked to do a pink glittery line under the french tip but he just never did it even after saying I wanted the pink line underneath. So after that I had went up to go pay they told me $90 for ugly nails that aren't even finished. I told them no that's crazy, i'm not paying $90 for nails that aren't finished and they said fine $80. On their board it says $40 for a full acrylic set and + $10 for french, so, my nails should have only been $50. So whatever I hand them a $100 and they would only give me $10 back. They stole my fucking money and now I have ugly nails. I've been crying in my car for 30 minutes now while writing this, I leave for VACATION IN 2 FUCKING DAY. THESES ARE SO BAD. I was curious about this place so I cheated on my favorite nail place in Clifton Park to pop in here for an ANC mani. Gorgeous nail salon on the inside. So much potential! The nail tech cut me TWICE. I read beforehand hands other clients had the same experience, but since I have had my nails done thousands of times and cutting is rare I had to find out for myself. This particular nail tech is simply not good at doing nails. It's a special talent and shouldn't be downplayed. This place is very poorly operated and managed. The prices don't match the talent. The front desk person is absent-minded. I asked for the 5% student discount and she said, "Oh it's ONLY for students." I was just like ugghh never mind because I couldn't believe she assumed for whatever reason probably my age (32) that I was not a student. (Yeah I am a law student in my second career. My First career was military, but I feel the need to explain.) A properly trained person probably would have said something like, "Do you have your student ID by any chance?" Owner if you're listening ... please lmk if you want to sell this business. I know some nail salon people. Win-win. I did not have a good experience here at all. First, Nail Trix does not seem to be following the CDC guidelines... the salon is very dirty. Hand washing/ mask wearing is not enforced. People were not social distancing. Temperatures were not taken. Clients were walking in without appointments. Other nail salons have plastic dividers between the clients and nail techs but not here... It seems as though Nail Trix cares more about making money than people's safety. In terms of nails, it was my first time getting ANC nails so I really didn't know what to expect. However, my nails looked extremely thick and clumpy and felt very uncomfortable, like fake nails. $40 is also pricey for ANC nails, especially for that quality... Lastly, the salon is extremely loud. This isn't a place to go if you want to relax. There isn't calm music playing, instead you hear the loud conversations between people sitting less than 6 feet from you. I was there today 1/2/ this nail salon was terrible my nails look disgusting they are so think and ugly and not what I wanted I do not recommend going there maybe that girl was new but it was terrible I also got my eyebrows waxed and I have no hair on them anymore and feel like I have no skin I payed $80 for my nails and my eyebrows where $15 and still look so bad I am brutally embarrassed to go out in public with my nails and eyebrows. Very friendly staff and clean salon but I was disappointed at the end result. I experienced the gel lifting off my thumb on the second day wear. I had to purchase nail glue to fix it. I found that the gel was applied to majority of my cuticles and now all of my nails are experiencing slight lifting near the cuticles on day 4. I scheduled an appointment for a full set with acrylic and designs. when I showed up for my appointment I was told there was no time for designs. I have long nails and when the man glued these talons on me (seriously they were curved like meat hooks!!) I told him they were too curved but he said that was all they had so I had to cut them so short below the curve. Then they were cut uneven and are all different shapes. Well, the guy doing my nails left me with zero confidence after he left me in acetone for over 40 minutes while he did another person's nails. I asked for gel instead because I thought that would be a safer option.... wrong. I could have painted my nails better and for $40, I still have dried acetone and uneven paint on my nails. I had an ANC manicure and the man who did my nails FLEW through them... I'm talking in and out in less than 30 min which I didn't really mind until I got home... I got acrylics and the technician who did them was rude, she asked very intrusive questions about my personal life, made inappropriate sexual comments about what was playing in the tv, told me that I needed to fix my hair with her hair regime, and made overbearing comments about my race. I have been here three times now and the first time was good with Han but each time after has been mediocre. I'm especially not thrilled with my trip there this past Saturday. I had a pedicure and anc with ben. Pedicure: I felt rushed and little detail was paid to my cuticles. I felt like he eyeballed what was needed and didn't do all my toes. I do like to keep my nails short, so there wasn't any cutting needed, but he did file a little. But again, I don't even think he did all my toes. I was getting the spa pedicure with callus treatment. He put the callus cream/gel on my feet and then just rested my feet on the wrappers peeled off the tools that get sanitized. That didn't seem very professional. Most other places will wrap your feet in something. Not place your feet on garbage wrappers. However he did work the callus remover scraper thing on my feet pretty thoroughly. The sugar scrub and massage were good and thorough. But there was no lotion or anything put on my feet after. There was minimal lotion put on my legs but zero on my feet. The ANC was also mediocre. Again, minimal attention paid to my cuticles. I'm not sure of the technical terms, but he pushed back the cuticle line but only on a couple of nails. He never ask how I wanted my nails. I eventually had to tell him before he sealed them up that I wanted them square but with rounded edges, not too pointy. He filed them so now most of my nails dip in the middle, not consistently straight across. He also cut one of my fingers with the nail file being used. Then after he sealed them up with top coat I had to point out that on half of my nails he didn't go all the way to the edges and I could see where he missed. Maybe if he wasn't busy watching Law and Order while doing my nails, I wouldn't have to tell him this. There's a couple of nails that look good, and then there's ones that he put way too much of the powder or top coat whatever but I can feel the rough edges of the top coat. Overall I wasn't not pleased based on what I paid. It's not the worst mani/pedi I've had but not the best. I am desperate to find a place in the CP area that I can go to with consistent results. But here it depends on who get and what else they have going on. My second time there I felt very rushed by Hannah because she was getting ready to go to California. I've had ANC many times and I've never had to have anyone fix anything but after I was with Hannah, one of my fingers had a dent in it. Unfortunately I didn't notice until I got home and I did not have time to go back. I have two small children and this is one luxury I afford myself. I take it very personal when I think my money has been wasted. I definitely feel this way right now. read more

I went here for the first time with my sister a week or so ago. The place is clean and they had massage chairs for pedicures that were THE BOMB! *The pedicure was satisfactory, but my normal nail salon provides a little more included for the same price. Still, it came out nice! *The manicure I got was ANC which I have had before. They had probably the largest selection of color choices for ANC I have ever seen! *The nail technician was friendly, but the lady I had was (from what I could tell) was the only one who didn't speak English well. Totally fine with me, but we definitely had a communication issue when it came to my ANC manicure. I had asked that polka dots be added and she had put way too many on so I asked her to do less and more sporadically. I probably shouldn't have used that word in hindsight. She wiped it off and redid it, but the way she held my hand it was hard to see and ultimately it still wasn't what I had wanted. Han (who I believe is the manager) was doing someone else's nails behind me and she could tell I wasn't happy. She told me they could fix it and I said I just wanted the dots removed and I would just keep the solid color. The tech that was doing my nails had disappeared and I was definitely frustrated. Han stopped what she was doing and actually jumped in to fix it for me. I felt bad, but I was also glad she took the time to make sure I was satisfied. This is probably the weirdest place I have been. They were able to get me in for a pedicure last minute, and the people are very nice, but I don't think that I will be returning. The man was very rushed on my feet, he did not even file or do my cuticles on every toe. He would lift my foot and place it on a wrapper while working on the other side. I have visited this salon a few times to have my nails done with my daughter, as nail salons go this place is nothing special, typical of nail salons. This particular day I get one of the sisters to not only do my nails but also do a pedicure. The pedicure again, nothing special, the products they use are cheap and the amount of lotions and other products they use are minimal for what you spend. I paid extra for the Deluxe pedicure package with leg massage, callus removal ( she talked me into it after seeing my feet), some type of scrub with raspberry and pomegranate.. etc. She barely used any products, stabbed me 3 times and apologized while cutting the cuticles with her trimmer causing my big toe and 3rd toe in to bleed, then she had me put my feet back in the water. She grabbed a hot towel did something with that and then she pulled my foot out of the water and used the clippers again to try to remove what she thought was a callus but was a topical wart I've had for years. It was painful and I asked her to stop, so then she again apologized, then took the rock/sandpaper thing and started buffing the bottom, sides and heel of my foot. She buffed so hard that when she was done she took the actual skin off the left side of my foot on my left foot.. I didn't notice right away cause she had me slip on the flip flops when she was done. When I finally was able to leave and got home after running errands and having discomfort in my shoes, upon removal of my shoes I noticed the area was red, the skin was ruff and small pieces were missing as if having a road rash on the foot. It was a full 5 days before I could actually just put my shoes on without having to use a Moleskin to cushion my foot to be able to walk. Walking even barefoot was uncomfortable and when I showed my husband, a Mid-Level Medical Practitioner at a local hospital here, he said it looked like she shaved off my skin. He had to treat my foot for me and cut the moleskin to put into my shoes just to walk to do basic things. It's all about how much money your spending, how much you tip and the service by far is not of the caliber it should be considering the prices. With tips and payment for services for myself and my daughter that day I spent $175.00. Oh and I love how they Up-charge you for a french manicure, give me a break. Have not returned and would not recommend them, and now they have opened a new salon in Saratoga, well maybe they might treat the customers there better, it is a more upscale area and I'm sure the prices are more upscale and the services are the bare basics. It's a shame too as I am always looking for quality services, they are looking for quantity in their daily quest for business. It shows in the quality of their work and conversation with their clients. Once they are done with you and sit you under the nail dryers they keep asking if your done.. and make you feel that they are trying to rush you out, in my opinion and my daughters. Word of mouth is the best way to have a wonderful business, too bad in this case my word is not complimentary and word gets around fast especially when your husband works in a Major Big hospital and tells people about the experience of his wife. I wish you all alot of luck in the future, I have moved onto a new salon on Route 9 which has done a lovely job and I have been using them for the last 4 months. Oh and 1 more thing, It is COMPLETELY rude to speak your native language in front of customers sitting in front of you. We speak English here and you make people feel as if your talking about them, especially when you look at them talk to your co-workers and then laugh. As a walk in I was expecting to wait a little bit. They said they could take me right away which was great. They soaked my nails and the assistants were nice. When I was ready to be serviced, the woman in charged as the male Kyle there if he was almost done because I was ready. He replied that he was almost done but was going to go eat his sandwich when he finished. I continued to wait for another 10 mins for a woman to come into work that had left to get supplies. That was fine but then she was rough with my hands and used the same brush she was cleaning the counter with to continuously wipe off my hands and nails. My nails look like blobs and are all crooked and uneven. I have anc on my cuticles and it hurts. When she was done I told her I wasn't not happy so Kyle came over and offered to fix if I came back. He said he wasn't going to redo them but file them a bit to even them out. I'm going to go somewhere else to get a new set which is unfortunate that I have to spend more money to get a new set that isn't painful. I DO NOT recommend this place.
