I first discovered this place two summers ago when I was looking for a place that would be open after I put my child to bed, and they're open til 9 during summer months. I was really surprised to see all the negative reviews and fully expected spam/fake ones, but when I read them I could actually understand why. I'm not really a fan of the work the guys do usually. It's "okay" but not at all like the girls. Han, Hanna and Xarah are all really wonderful, and have always treated me, my husband (who became a convert there) AND my 5 year old who decided he loves pedicures very, very well. Their mom Ann is great as well. I found out the guys there won't work on men, so when it was hubby, son & I, it meant I was stuck with them instead of one of the sisters, and there was definitely a difference. I THINK I remember a different guy a couple summers ago who was pretty good, but not really since then. But again, any of the family ladies are awesome. So, just see if you can request them when you go, and you should have a really great experience. read more

Left my 13 year old daughter and her friend to get their nails done....told the lady what I wanted. When I picked them up they told me the man who did their nails just did what ever he wanted. My daughter told me that she told him how she wanted him to paint her nails and he didn't listen to her at all, she even brought the polish with her. Her friends nails still had blue around the corners because he didn't take off all the old polish. He painted their nails exactly the same and with an ugly black feather on their ring fingers. I am very disappointed in this place. I got Anc done and they only used two layers of powder and two of my nails crack and broke. I have been to other places in Clifton park and this salon was disappointing. I also got a pedicure and the pedicure tub was dirty with white stuff in it. Overcharged for stiletto nails that ended up uneven. Had to constantly remind the "artist" that the design needed to be centered. He even got mad at me when he randomly put a glitter topcoat on (I didn't ask for a glitter topcoat) and i politely asked him to remove the glitter. They made me pay AND TIP before my nails were even painted. I wish I could go back in time and not tip as high as I did. read more

I patron this nail salon every time I travel here for business, as my hotel is located in the mall area. I had never had issues in years past, but this time...it was so bad, I will not go back. The person who was facilitating things was nice, but she was all over the place. I sit down with a tech, and immediately it was the most painful manicure I ever had, every time this tech touched my nails she hurt me. I pulled away, said you are hurting me, she said sorry, but continued to put too much pressure on my hands and jabbing the cuticle cutter into my nail beds. I told her short and square, each time they were not and I would have to tell her again. Which just wasted time. Then she puts on my OPI polish and some sort of super old thick top coat. It would not dry, then the facilitator as I mentioned above, came over and squirted some sort of what she said was a fast drying solution on my nails. Then I sat back under the blower for ten more minutes, walked back to the hotel and I had bubbles on EVERY single nail. I don't think she put what she thought she put on my nails. I had to go early in the morning to CVS and get nail remover and just take the polish off prior to my meeting. The music was like throw back rock and roll and to be honest and so loud no one was talking to their clients, I think on purpose...this doesn't really create a relaxing spa like experience. In addition, I did not get lotion on my hands, I got no massage on my hands nor forearms. Avoid this place, I saw a few regulars who were talked to a lot and completely happy, but have no idea why I had to suffer such a bad experience. read more

Graduation was 3 days away, I didn't have time to run down to my regular nail place; so I went to nail trix as it was so close to my house with my mom. I wanted a pedicure and a full set with white tips. Han did my toes and they came out gorgeous. She did my nails, HORRIBLE! She rushed, the acrylic didn't cover my whole nail, they weren't smooth and were bubbly. Never will I go back again! My nails manicure was nicked by the next day, with scratches and bumps. Ugh I made an appointment and I had to wait half an hour. The person who was doing my nails was so rough and brutal. I told the person that one of my nails was way bigger than the one from the other hand and the person made an effort to fix the nail but it still looked super different I felt like a bother asking the person 20 times to fix my nail!! One of my nails was not even attached correctly leaving space in between my nail and the acrylic which can cause me to get fungus. I left the nail salon with my hands and fingers full of acrylic because of how messy the person was when doing my nails and on top of that he/she rushing the whole time. I've gotten nails before this wasn't my first time so I know my nails weren't supposed to look that way. On top of that it was so expensive, they charge for shaping your nails?! I had a terrible experience at this salon getting acrylic nails. I paid the additional fee for coffin shape nails but they do not look remotely coffin. They are all different shapes, length and thicknesses. Some nails are lumpy and thick and others are thin. The lady doing the nails didn't want to hear my plan but I told her anyway. She must have ignored me because she did not do the right shape. I stopped her three times to remind her that I wanted coffin shape and that they looked wrong. Then I asked her to do a second coat of the polish but she said she won't because it wouldn't dry. The color was transparent when she threw it on. The salon is unsanitary and they do not clean any of the supplies between clients. When she went to remove my nail polish that was around the cuticle she just poured some remover into a cup from the lady soaking she nails next to me. Like that's disgusting and cheap. I complained yet was told nothing could be done to better the nails. Will never come here again. read more

Disappointed. Guy was friendly and the place was clean and bright but that's where the positives end. I got the regular pedicure for $25. He basically washed my feet, up sold me to a callus remover for $5 (which obv worked great but really not to his credit), barely filed my toes down even though I asked for them to be cut, and did a poor job of painting on the polish. I even asked him to make them a little shorter and he barely swiped the nail file 2-3 times. I was extremely unhappy with the finished product and even told him so while my toes were drying. I'm not quite sure he understood what I was saying but he did fix up a few of the problem polish areas, by globing on more nail polish. The finish is bumpy and bubbly. This pedicure will not last and I could have easily done this myself. Not a professional pedicure, of which I've had many. read more

I was not impressed and left a bit disappointed. Perhaps I am spoiled by my usual spot (which notably charges less) but I went for a regular mani pedi. It was a Monday afternoon so it was quiet. Pedi massage chair is great. Foot tub has no jets. My manicurist did not cut or file my toe nails. Granted they were short but I expected them to be shaped. Leg foot "massage" was awful. He more or less just rubbed some lotion on and called it a day. Mani was ok. Work area was filthy and unorganized. I cut my nails before I went- always do so I don't have to worry about them cutting too short. I didn't shape them and they needed it. He literally ran the file over each nail 2-3 times. Massage again was awful. Polish was well done. read more

Literally the worst most rushed pedicure I've ever had. No massage just rubbed the bottom of my foot with the back of her hand and each toe over and over, like two swipes with the filing board. Some of the other workers looked like they were doing a good job. She like cut my cuticle and peeled it until I said ouch and pulled my foot away. Never again! read more

I went to Nail Trix today for a pedicure. I got acknowledged by a nice young man, the only non asian working there. He was very friendly, and tried to be helpful. They were under staffed from what he stated. I chose a color and after a few minutes what's put in a chair to wait. The chairs do NOT have a whirlpool in the foot soak. So you just sit in water that after waiting 10 minutes for the person to start my pedicure, turned cold. The girl never introduced herself, never asked what pedicure I wanted and just started my pedicure. It was by far one of the worst pedicures I've EVER had!!! I think she just wanted to get me done. She cut my big toe cuticle too short and it hurts. She nicked me with the nail file. Unreal!!! Then as I was drying the girl that I assumed was the owner gave the young man a hard time about who was being taken care of. Now mind you, she was late for her appointment. She started speaking in her language which I knew she was talking about the employee she was mad at. She then had her mother show up and was mad about that. I will NEVER go back there!! absolutely terrible. got my nails done last night & was disappointed with them. i repeatedly told the guy that they werent want i wanted and he agreed with me and acted as if he understood, cut me off etc. the next day ONE HAD ALREADY BROKEN, shown in the first picture. 4 more had broken throughout the day. I called and asked if they'd be able to fix them she had a very bad attitude and told me to come in, i did && was told my nails broke because of the length. i then asked for a totally new set since now 6 of the nails were broken. i got the same guy as the night before and he rushed through the process, cut me to the point that i was actually bleeding and nail shape wasnt what i wanted, and i was told i couldnt have any longer then what i got. extremely disappointed, and not only by the nails by the disrespect and lack of hygiene this man presented. he had no shoes on, touched me with his bare foot , cracked his toes in front of me annd even was picking at his ear all while on his phone. extremely disappointed at the fact i paid 75 dollars just to be let down. would not recommend and will NEVER be back. read more

Hands down best nail experience I've ever had. I've been to a couple different nail salons since I started getting my nails done. No salon is as clean, efficient, and inviting as Nail Trix. I live in Colonie, and Nail Trix is definitely worth the trip to CP. It's nice to walk into a new place and immediately be greeted and feel welcome instead of awkward. I also appreciate that technicians don't yell at or to one another from across the salon. They have an assistant who works her butt off prepping each station for the techs, so even if someone isnt ready to take you, someone will still start the water and remove your polish. The techs are very attentive to detail. I've definitely had a lot of crappy, half assed pedicures, but Hannah did a great job actually covering my entire nail. I came with a friend and her ombre nails done by Kyle came out amazing as well! I'm not one to get my nails done very often but I will definitely be getting a lot more manis and pedis now. Call ahead and make an appointment because these guys are awesome but get very busy!! read more

Went here for a pedicure and it was probably the worst I've ever had. the pedicure tub was disgusting and covered in a white grime. I asked the guy to wash it and he insisted it was just stained from polish remover. I asked if I could please move to a different chair. once I finally did he removed my old polish and shaped my nails which were already short which he did fine. however, he took an electric sander to my toe nails which I had never had done before. also, the pumice stone be used was definitely used on other people before me which is disgustingly unsanitary! he started scrubbing my feet and I asked him to stop because the stone looked used and he again insisted it wasn't dirty and just dipped it in the water to "clean" it after I made the comment. he did a sloppy paint job too. Total waste of money. I'm lucky I didn't get some sort of fungus or rash. don't waste your time or money when I guarantee that we all could give ourselves a 10x better pedi at home. read more

Love this place. The staff is warm and friendly. The owner and her daughters are very accommodating. My favorite part is that they are open until 9pm! Most recently, I arrived right after putting my daughter to bed and there was no wait. I was seated right away for a manicure and pedicure. The massage chairs are sturdy with several different settings. I also like that they play relaxing music. Lee has good attention to detail and I will ask for him when I return. read more

The place is clean and cheery. That's about all it had going for it. I paid $25 for just a basic pedi. It was nothing special. My cuticles weren't trimmed, nor pushed back. Nails weren't even buffed. They tried to sell me a dry skin treatment for my heels for an extra $5. I declined. Polish was decent, but after 2 weeks, I need another pedi! Too expensive for the quality of pedi. Nail Trix is as good as it gets. I just went today to get my first full set of acrylics with some friends. I recommended for them to come and they loved it. They had great tips to choose from and spoke English fairly well :) They do amazing on small fingernails so Nail Trix is great to take your small daughter. The worst place you can go. My family and I stopped by to see if they could take five people. They said yes they could. They started with four of us (and the person that really wanted their nails done ended up having to wait). Our feet still felt ruff on the bottom when they were done. It was not relaxing at all. They cut one of our feet in two places during and didn't even attempt to make it relaxing. The nail polish was coming off within an hour of leaving. Three days later toes are still healing because of how bad it was cut. I wouldn't recommend this place for anything. Even buying a product from them would be a waste of time in my book. Please DO NOT spend your money at this place. I went for a full set (mind you, my natural nails were already long, but they charged me full price as if I was adding tips). They spent two hours at the gel set that I wanted, and at first I thought it was great (although it took a really long time). Less than a week later, the gel on my right hand started lifting. Mind you, I hardly do any manual labor minus dishes and laundry. I went to go get them fixed and they took care of it. A week later, the nails on my left hand came right off! Within a week they were all off I spent $70 for a set that lasted without drama for A WEEK! Plus, they said that the gel they were using on me was one that could come off with an acetone soak. This is a flat out lie. I bought acetone remover once my nails were too far gone, and they did not come off. I soaked for an HOUR. Don't listen to this marketing bit, and please, don't go to this place. Hair and Body Essentials on the other side of the plaza is more worth your time and hard earned money. I've talked to more than a handful of co-workers who all had bad experiences here, so it's definitely not just me! read more

I'll never go back here. I made an appointment to assure that I would be in and seated on time because I had a lot to get done. I arrived at about 2:45 and was not seated at a booth until ten after 3. My intention was to get a $25 new set of acrylics. I was sat with a man named Lee, and he insisted on the ANC manicure on top of the tips. I was not at all interested but he would not stop pushing me for the ANC. I had my nail polish picked out but he did not start fitting my tips until I agreed to the ANC manicure for a total of $40. I asked if they would take longer then the plain full set and he said no (a flat out LIE), and told him I liked my nails thin. When he finally began, a number of customers came in for eyebrow waxes and he is in charge of waxing. I asked him not to get up from my nails, as I had an appointment and therefore should take priority, especially after being upsold against my will. He was mocking me to his coworkers about not getting three minutes to give a wax. I was late for another appointment because I was seated for well over an hour. The ANC manicure came out HORRIBLE. There were three nails with chunks on them and he didn't even attempt to fix them. I pointed out one and he filed it but overall I have never been so disappointed in a nail job. The ANC doesn't cover the whole nail, I have the sides of my nails left naked, and they are extremely thick and uneven. I left him a tip but every fiber of my being was against it. He ruined my nails and ran my card before I could see the nails completed. I was made late, after specifically saying that I was in a rush, and now they are more expensive to upkeep than a normal set of acrylics. read more

I went here today for a pedicure. I waiting about ten minutes and then they put me in the pedicure chair. It was busy but I had no idea that I would have my feet in the water for 30 minutes before someone even started my pedicure. I was not happy and it was visible- I wouldn't have minded so much if they gave me an expectation of wait time instead of just taking me. At that point I had been there for so long I just kept waiting rather then walking out. The reason I am still giving it three stars is because the woman there (I believe she's the owner) made it a point to apologize a few different times and she was very sweet. You could tell she cares about her customers and felt bad about the wait. The guy that did my pedicure did a good job and the massage chairs were nice. I'd suggest spacing customers out in the pedicure chairs rather then sitting them right next to each other if there are enough chairs. It felt a little cramped having people on either side of me when there were plenty of empty chairs. I'd try it again but ill be sure to ask if there will be a wait before I put my feet in the water (or make sure I have an appointment). read more
