Tiffany was very personable, and did a very good job on my nails. Salon was clean and I was able to get in without an appointment.

I'm surprised this place is rated so highly on different platforms as I had a terrible experience. First, I was unhappy with having to pay $35 for a gel manicure, I'm visiting family from out of town and normally in NYC I pay $30 but I figured fine, whatever. Upon arrival I was impressed with the salon, very calming music and it looked clean. Once I sat down to get my nails done I was frustrated that they didn't have a strengthening base coat for the nails which I get to avoid my nails breaking with gel but again, thought "whatever". Then, while my cuticles were being cut I noticed she nicked my pinky finger which was what started to set me off - I'm not paying to get cut, I will go to a surgeon for that. It wasn't until I had already left the salon that I looked at my nails and realized what a terrible job had been done. Refer to the attached photos to see how one of my nails hadn't even been completely stripped of the color I had previously (it's a light pink so barely visible) as well as how that same nail is only half way painted. Warning!! They are so deceitful and tack on fees for every single thing that should be included in the price. They tried to take advantage of my senior mother by raising the price (that they had already quoted) in the middle of her manicure. We walked out. The man lied and was malicious. Nova doesn't do male pedicures for men . No one has been able to explain to me how toenails on men is different from women, but to each his own. I will not be back. I rated this place as 1 star only because I couldn't give it 0 stars. When I walked in around 10 this morning, there were two people working (one was doing someone's nails, the other was doing a pedicure), and there were no other customers in the waiting area. The woman doing the pedicure asked if I had an appointment. I did not have one, and she very succinctly told me "we're busy, so we can't take you" - she never even suggested something like "we're both busy now, but if you'd like to look at polish colors while you wait, we'll get to you". Perhaps I misunderstood the "WALK-INS WELCOME" sign on the front window, but if it's appointment only, then by all means take down the sign. read more

Overall, my nails were pretty well done, but the guy that started my manicure was extremely RUDE!! I am so glad that the lady took over bc there is no telling how they would have turned out if he did the entire job. Im pretty sure the pic I showed him of how I wanted my nails done intimidated him bc he huffed and puffed when he saw it. But back to the RUDENESS... Im about 99% sure they were making fun of me and talking about me in their language, just bc, for someone that is in her mid 30s this is only the 2nd time Ive ever had acrylic nails, so I was asking questions about the process along the way. Went here a few weeks ago due to my normal place not having any appointments and got gel manicure and pedicure. I wasn't pleased after due to my toe nail polish being half painted on there, not reaching my cuticles. Flash forward now I went to my normal place and my nail tech noticed I had in grown toes nails on both of my big toes because the nail tech here when trimming my nails around that area cut them but never pulled them out. read more

I was given a gift certificate for a pedicure. I wasn't greeted with a smile, just "what you want? Pick polish." The staff was rude and spoke in their native language, hardly no English. I felt shamed by the woman doing my pedicure. They were talking about me in their language. This is the only reason they do this. I also noticed that she didn't use a new kit with each of her customers. I am a beautician and I know the rules about health safety in the beauty business. I will never return. Word of advice, if you can't speak English in America, go back where you came from. read more

I had a full set of nails applied with gel polish and a pedicure. I started out with Tom and he was great but an inspector showed up so Tiffany took over. The pedicure went fine but when Tiffany did my nails she was rude and rough. I even had to yell out ouch at one point. My nails are to thick and the finished product is disappointing. My first visit here, no too bad... I was a walk in for a pedicure and had zero wait. The setup was very nice. Was offered water, coke, diet coke, etc. The only thing I was not completely satisfied with was my toe nails were cut too short. Other than that it was decent. The cost was a little higher with fewer "options". (No callus attention unless you added a $5 fee with an already $30 pedi.) The gentleman did bag my boots for me so it was easier to pack them back to the car which was very considerate. All in all, not the worst pedi I've ever had. But then again, not the best. Let me start by saying I have only had one other manicure so I don't have much to compare this too. Nail Zone's location is convenient in a strip mall next to Kroger. The interior is nicely decorated and very clean. There were 3 employees when I came in and only one of them was busy with a client so I didn't have to wait and was taken care of immediately (I was a walk-in). I got a simple manicure using a color off their wall even though I was asked if I wanted a 2 week manicure, french manicure painted on my nails (I guess instead of tips?) that would also last 2 weeks, and a few other things. Since I'm new to this whole manicure/nail salon thing I was getting a little confused with all the options presented so it may be best if you go in knowing what you want. I was happy that the guy that did my nails didn't do any small talk and just focused on getting my nails done. When it came to coloring them the polish I picked out was old and clumpy so I was able to find another bottle of the same color on the wall. That bottle turned out to be old and clumpy as well. By chance I found a 3rd bottle of the same color which was fine. Maybe next time I'll bring my own polish. The manicure was only $13 plus tip. I was happy with the way my nails turned out and am sure I'll be back in a few weeks for another one. read more

I have been going here for OVER a year. I do have a habit of stress picking at my nails, and have had open wombs and have NEVER been refused service (A nice, clean salon probably would have). My last visit, "Tiffany" was wearing a band aid while drilling my nails and the band aid got caught on the drill and flung around my skin. That was warning number 1. My mom came here and got a toenail fungus from a pedicure. That was warning number 2. Warning number 3 happened today when I made an appointment for 3pm with "Tiffany". I was seated around 3:45pm. A 45 minute wait when they were not even busy. Ridiculous! But I WAS a loyal customer. So I did not mind. I finally sat down and she refused to do my nails! Loudly, in front of other customers. She said I had too many open cuts and it would cause infection. I have so far completed half the required amount of hours needed to be a cosmetologist, and have been trained to do nails. I know when to refuse a service. My nails did not have any open wombs. 3 nails did look tender as I have sensitive skin. I actually gave myself a manicure, minus the polish, before coming. I only came for acrylics. I left and went straight to another salon. It was funny because that salon was cleaner and the nail tech told my I made his work easy because my nails were practically already done. He said they looked great and I did a very good job. Not to mention, nail zone looks dirty, dated, drab, and dusty! It desperately needs a face lift! Also, I NEVER see Tiffanys husband's nail license out! Hmm interesting. Lastly, their children are always in the salon! One plays on a very loud ipad running around the salon. People come to have a break from that, not have more of it. Their children need to be in daycare while they are at work. Very unprofessional. They lost a loyal customer today, but thankfully I found a new salon. I used Yelp to find the hours that Nail Zone was open on Saturdays and after seeing Mandy's negative review I just had to write a review. I have been going to Nail Zone for manicures and pedicures for over two years. Occasionally when out of town I have gone to other places for these services. Nail Zone is by far the best nail salon I have found. The people are very friendly and are eager to provide personalized and excellent service. When it comes to cleanliness and attention to health and health issues, it is as good as it gets. Tom particularly is always cleaning everything - not only the work implements. Every item is cleaned and sanitized for every new procedure and all the operators comply strictly with what seems to be the standard for this salon. This issue that Mandy raised about not having a receptionist is silly. Whoever answers the phone when I call gives me a heads up on how busy they are and if I can get my manicure/pedicure at my desired time. They are accurate as can be. I am always offered something to drink - water, coke, wine etc.. and am greeted in the most friendly manner. I usually call ahead but have on occasion walked in. They are very careful to take clients on a first come, first served basis regarding walkins. I would recommend Nail Zone to anyone. Went to get a pedicure with my mom and sister. There were 3 other customers getting their nails done ahead of us. No one greeted us when we came in. We picked out polish and had to ask them how long it would be to get pedicures. Two employees were in the back and came out and told us it would be a 15 minute wait before they could help us. I have been to this salon twice now. The first time I went I had a fantastic experience! The manager and his wife took care of me perfectly! My foot massage lasted at least ten minutes and my manicure couldn't have been better. This time when I went for a gel polish manicure and I got another lady. She was younger and very timid. She did an okay job but not near the quality of last time. I did have to ask her to re-paint a couple nails from where she had missed the sides. She also didn't allow me time to enjoy the hot towel nor did she massage my arms and hands. It was more of slathering lotion on my arms and done. To make it more clear, I actually had to rub the lotion in myself because she literally didn't. It was also awkward at check out when she finished. She just stood beside me looking at me for payment, I had to specifically ask her "How much do I owe you?" Then she hovered over me looking anxiously while I filled out the tip and receipt. Very mediocre. They do an ok job on your nails, but it's not a relaxing environment whatsoever. I've given them 5 chances now. Every time you go in they're constantly trying to sell you something. You ask your nails (not acrylics) to be filed a certain way and they start talking in another language and then have someone else come look and then tell you well we'll do the best we can, then giggle the entire time. Not very difficult to figure that one out. Asked for squared and got completely rounded. My nails are naturally square-ish, it takes effort to round them. Went in today to ask for the color of a gel polish and was told they couldn't tell me the color because there's multiple that are like that, which is super interesting because every time I've gone to and paid to get my nails done they know EXACTLY what color it is. Strange how that works. That's not the worst, and here's what made me download this app to write this review, I don't mind being told no, but I really despise being lied to. She asked what I wanted to know the gel color for and I told her because I wanted to buy it, even offered to purchase from them and she told me you can't buy it without a license. 1st of all, I have my license, so I can buy it & 2nd, that's a total lie (Sally's sells it, Amazon, so on and so forth) and when I told her it wasn't true she had nothing to say. this place is horrible. i called to make an appt. for a mani/ pedi for 12:45, arrived at 12:30, and watched about 10 walk ins arrive. they called 2 walk ins back before me and then i reminded her i had an appt. at 1:00 they called another walk in back and told me id be 1 more minute. oh, and they have no receptionist which may be why such problems are occurring, the girl who booked my appt over the phone is also the girl doing acrylic nails..they must think they are proficient at multi tasking. anyways, my guy comes to finally take me back for my pedi at almost 1:15. i hear the man next to me giving a pedi to another woman say "are you also getting a mani?" she replies no. so i assume my guy will either ask me as well or already knows i was had booked a mani/pedi. by the end of the pedi he hadnt asked me so i reminded him and he looked at me like i was an alien..with this look of such confusion???? so like everyone else working there, he looked at the "receptionist/ acrylic nail lady" for guidance. she said oh you wanted a full set? i said "i wanted a mani/pedi and had a pre booked appt." she told me shed be right with me and to wait AGAIN. so after a few min. another man comes up to do my mani and asks if i want white tips, i said that i did not want a french manicure, that i wanted clear. he said i thought you wanted white tips, like acrylic. and then he looked over at the lady who calls all the shots around this place and she said "yes i thought you wanted a full set"! omg! i said, "NO! i wanted just a mani pedi!" so he puts my hands in the warming bags to get me started and says that the person who does your pedi must do your mani, they were treating me like this was all my fault. and i said "well i told everyone including my pedi guy that i needed a mani!" so.... i think this new guy is going to do my nails bc he put them in the warming bags but then he disappeared. about 20 min. later, the man who did my pedi shows up having finished another customers nails to do my nails. the last guy just left me without telling me that id be waiting for my pedi guy to be available! instead of just doing them himself! i couldve screamed! so now hes rushing bc they didnt plan to do my mani, he didnt even file them, all my nails were different lengths when i left, he didnt even get the dirt out from under the nail, just a quick buff and coat of clear polish and i was dismissed! this place is absolutely HORRIBLE! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, and in desperate need of a receptionist. and the lady who thinks shes the receptionist/ acrylic nail girl- has no idea how to run a salon or deal with customers. i will NEVER return- i cant believe i even offered to pay them, but after 2.5 hours i couldnt wait to run out their doors. please, do yourself a favor and go to hendersonville or go see kenny over at artistic nails in white house. read more
