I'm very disappointed with my experience here. It is completely overpriced for what your getting. they are really rough on my cuticles and they always get scabbed up or i get a hangnail. The colors never match the sample and then they are extremely rude when you ask to change it. The overall quality of the manicure/pedicure is really not that great either. I gave them a few chances but I will not be returning. Also if it's a busy day you better have an appointment. They will keep you waiting forever after they promised just a short wait. I've been here twice now and left satisfied both times! Really friendly nail technicians who are very meticulous- most places I end up filing my nails a bit when I come home but Nail Bar does it right the first time. John did my acrylic nails with shellac and I not only enjoyed talking to him but he did a great job as well. Their prices are a tad higher than average places but again, they do a good job, have a clean facility and I haven't been charged for the glasses of wine and they keep cute chocolates out so I'd say it's worth it. After such a crappy experience here, for my next mani and pedi I was lucky enough to get to visit back to LA for business and went to my favorite place there. Just for comparison purposes, I paid $83 vs $127 here for the exact same services but actually got great service and left happy. I wish I had business to do every 2 weeks there so I could just skip this annoying trial and error and keep with the same satisfying service there but it's not a perfect world and I found myself back home here in FoCo needing a visit. SO I will take the blame for this 3rd visit here. Mind you, I only went here again bc my bf and I left Bar Louie and had an hour and a half to kill, he wanted a pedi, I needed both a gel mani and pedi. I spent 20 minutes awkwardly finding a gel color with one hand as she wrapped my fingers in acetone foils to soak off my gel, what the guy said before they don't do! After I narrow it down to 3 nudes, I tell her I want to see these 3, same color on my toes as on my hands. The women then persists that I try the powder dip, not the gel.. all 3x they tried to push this but I kept sticking to the gel. I just spent all that time annoyingly trying to find a color but she just kept on and kept on about it so I thought fine, maybe she's really trying to get me onto something better so I will try it. So I began digging AGAIN through the dip colors. I find a nude. Cool! maybe now I can relax. Nope, she gets the powder and immediately starts putting it on my nails. Im thinking she's just going to do one nail so that I can see the color, but then she does 2 and 3 nails. I then tell her, wait a minute please, I need a manicure first. My cuticles need pushed back and cut etc. She tells me "no, I do this first, then the mani." WTF?? Im watching her literally cover my cuticles with the powder so how is she going to push them back or cut them now??? UGH!! Bf sitting next to me so I'm trying to play it cool but Im getting pissed by the minute. At this point, my pedicure lady was ready to start polishing my toes and asks, what color for your toes. I said the same, as I said in the beginning. They then tell me that they can't do the powder on toes and I need to find a matching color. WHAT???! You want me to find a color a 3rd time?!! SO BASICALLY, the mani lady rushed to get the powder on my nails so that she could upcharge me for it ($10 extra over and above the $25 for gel)... knowing that I would not want it if I couldn't have the matching color on my toes. Thats why she was in such a hurry to get that on instead of doing it in the proper order. PISSSSSED! So agaaaain, I struggle to find a matching color for my toes. I add a gold glitter stripe in the middle. After a ridiculously amount of time now, over an hour and a half for this mani, I ask her to add the same gold glitter stripe on each middle finger and a dot on my pinky, a dot on my thumb. You would have thought I asked her to calculate the next NASA launch or something. After another 25 minutes, my hands looked like I had let a 5 year old practice on me. I had to ask her to remove the attempts at a LINE and dots. YES, your reading this right. She couldn't do 2 even vertical stripes centered on the middle fingers. OR 2 dots. Lines and dots...too hard at a nail salon. HOLY sh**. She removes the attempts and proceeds to put the clear coat on those nails and just be done. But we aren't done with the shit show yet. She puts gel top coat on 4 of my 10 nails, then just clear polish on the other 6...with gold glitter fragments still on the brush. So they dried at different times, different sheens, different textures and some with gold glitter randomly spattered. I even asked her, "Could you please put the clear gel topcoat on all of them so when I go tanning, they change colors the same." She said they are the same and sent me out. They are not the same. At the end, my manicure was $76. NEVER AGAIN. NEVER AGAIN. NEVER AGAIN. 2 hours and 45 minutes, $247 for 2 pedis and a mani. Terrible service. Horribly frustrating. Not relaxing. And reeeeediculously overpriced. On top of it, the powder gel is covering all of my cuticles, goes over the sides of my actual nail beds making my nails look like elephant nails/ surfboards AND they're all tender from her using an emory board on my skin to try and separate the polish from my skin. First time there and it was terrible service! They did gel nails and painted over my cuticles, so I had to redo them myself once I got home, waste of time and money. It was a very expensive trip ($100.00). Pedicure was not bad. No massaging as stated in the package I paid for. The lady complained how busy they always are and that they don't have enough staff to accommodate the customers coming in the door. The first time I went here I had a decent experience. Although a bit overpriced, I got a regular manicure and pedicure that turned out great. My second experience however was awful. I'm not a regular at the nail salon so my knowledge on the products are not great. All I wanted was the same thing I got my first visit, just a plain old mani and pedi, nothing fancy. The woman who did my toes kept saying do you want shellac? I said I don't know, which apparently means yes to them. Then she said ok we will do gel. Um ok, Im not that picky. The part that really upset me was the man who did my manicure. He asked me nine times, no exaggeration, if I wanted gel on my fingers, and I said no every single time. I do not like any product on my fingers, I prefer all natural. I told him this several times, but by the tenth time he asked, I just said yes because I was literally getting nowhere. After he finished putting the gel on, which was a color I did not want, and I also made clear, he asked if I wanted my cuticles done which was an extra $10...which made me angry. Any manicure I have ever gotten, that is usually included. The whole thing ended up costing $130. I felt like all they wanted to do is take advantage of someone that was not super knowledgeable about the products just to make an extra buck. This was the worst experience I had ever had at a nail salon. I felt like I had no voice at all. I've been going to this salon since it opened. I will say they are always friendly! However, unfortunately, I have to say over the last few months things seem to be slipping in quality of service. The last 2 times I've gotten dip nails they've been lumpy and rushed. -Two different ladies did them. And, they have increased up-selling. I've noticed the owner, John, hasn't been there in the last few months either. He really kept things going and in ship-shape. His wife is there and she is great! Tim (tattooed), Jim (wears glasses and funny) and George (newest, older guy) are also great, especially at dip nails. They are detailed and meticulous about what they r doing, they take time and don't rush. Just in the last 2 weeks, they've added an ATM machine and are requesting cash or checks. I took my 14 year old daughter and her friend in to get their nails done for a dance. I instructed them to do a spa pedicure for her friend and a mini pedicure for my daughter. The guy was quick to try and up sell me a bigger package with gel nails. I said no and reiterated what I wanted. Upon checkout they charged me for the Spa package and the mini pedi for my daughter's friend. I feel the guy was so quick to try and up sell that he wasn't listening to my request. Went to Nailbar expecting to have a great time based off of word of mouth, but didn't have the same experience. I called ahead to have a spot for myself and some girlfriends. When I showed up, no one greeted us or even told us where to go. We waited 15-20 minutes. Then got seated for pedicures, and found out at that point that they charge an EXTRA $25 to get shellac done, ontop of the already higher pedicure price. So there we were stuck in the bowl for pedicures because we didn't know that ahead of time. Then they came and started each of my girlfriend's at different times and didn't talk to us. The place was not very clean. There was a dirty cup at almost every chair and piles of dirty towels. It was nice to have the free drink, but not worth the extra cost of everything else. read more

This nail salon is so good, maybe the best one I have been to. I always get the dip method for my nails and it is the best around. Other places will only stay nice for a week or 2 and I always get 3 weeks out of them. One time the guy that was working on me could. I made very clear that I wanted a manicure on my original nails and he insisted on putting fake nails on. I told him no multiple times and nevertheless he persisted. I also did not receive any work done on my cuticles, the mositurizing gloves I asked for, or any lotion. The nails he put on that I did not want has two that are obviously crooked and he refused to fix. He was very rough with my hands and it was not at all the relaxing experience that I came in for. When waxing my eyebrows he put so much of his physical weight on my head including pushing on my nose. I had trouble breathing. I felt like he was taking out anger on me. I have been to Nailbar before. I returned because I had nothing but great experiences. Which made yesterday's visit so disappointing. I was charged $70 for a horrendous experience. I will never return and I will actively encourage others to never go there. read more

Great place. Clean, nice open environment and very welcoming. Love the refreshment selections! Just beware when they offer any extras like a flower, or any kind of oils because it adds up. My nail tech was very friendly and did a great job but was really insistent on putting more flowers on my fingernails even though I already had them on my toenails. I just kept telling her no after everything she offered because she was starting to come off a little pushy. I find this place to be a bit pricey. I was so excited to try out the nail salon, the sign was cute and the pictures on the website looked nice. The lady cut one of my nails too short and it hurt, and she also hurt me when she cut my cuticles. I love hard massages, but this massage was way too hard. To top it off, my nails got ruined right away because the lady put such a thick coat of paint on my nails that it couldn't harden all the way through. The more people that showed up at the door, the faster the lady went so she could move on the the next client. I thought it might just be my lady who was like that, but I went with someone I know and she got cut, thought the massage was too rough, and had her nails get ruined right away. I would have given this place zero stars if I could have. Went there for a bridal day of beauty. We made appointments for all of us, including the 2yr old flower girl. They kept refusing to do her nails and saying that they had other clients, even though we have paid for her to get a mani. We even said that we don't want them to touch her cuticles. The flower girl sat with all of us for over an hour, smiling patiently waiting for her turn. So disappointing for a girl's first manicure. One person, begrudgingly, finally painted her nails. And... She sat there like an angel, smiling while they painted her nails. Will never go back there!!! They suck and a paying customer, is a paying customer regardless of the age. read more

I am extremely disappointed in this nail salon! I went in for a pedicure with a couple of friends because I thought the price was decent for a mini pedicure, $28. However when we got to our chairs, we sat there for around 10 mins waiting and I noticed the mini pedicure didn't include callous removal or a leg massage. Was a little shocked and disappointed. Another thing that was misleading was their advertisements for one complimentary drink. What they don't tell you is that you must pay $35 or more for a service for this massive drink menu. I on the other hand had my drink menu ripped out from me and given a much smaller menu. If this wasn't enough, I decided to change my service to a polish change for $15 since it seemed more "reasonable" than paying $28 for not much. My polish change was rushed, I felt treated as if my service didn't matter anymore. At the end of the service I paid with a gift card and the nail techs were trying to have me pay cash or another way but only had a gift card. The gift card finally goes through and I kept asking for a receipt and was not given one due to the fact that I could not tip on it. This is the reasoning I was given. Come to find out this morning, my original payment for $15 was changed to $18!!!! A polish change with no filing and simple paint came out to Almost $20, what the heck?! They had tipped themselves and changed the amount when I left. This is unethical. I usually tip every service but was not given the chance and should not be punished for this. Here is just a basic manicure I got yesterday from the nail bar. I went in with a group of friends, eight total and they handled us very well for being such a large group. It took around an hour for everyone to get their nails done. They have a complementary drink so that was really nice. The person who did my manicure wasn't quite paying attention the whole time because he was bouncing back and forth between clients and I understand because they were busy but it was a little frustrating seeing everyone else get their nails finished before mine. Some of my friends hands looked really good and then some had nail polish on their hands. I think the service you got greatly varies between who was working on you. It was a relaxing experience I will say the staff was very friendly and helpful. The polish I picked out was called hot lava, it was the same brand as majority of the normal polishes they have their and it had already started chipping. Not even 24 hours later I was trying to open a package (take the tape off of something) and I chipped my thumb nail. My other nails are already experiencing some wear so I will say that's disappointing. One of my nails is a little uneven due to the filing but overall they look nice. read more

This was my second time trying out nailbar. The first time I called ahead since I had a very short time. He promised me no wait and said they would be ready right when I got there. When I got there I told him my name and that we had just talked on the phone. He said take a seat. 30 minutes later I left because it didn't seem like anyone was opening up. At first I really LOVED this place, as they were the only ones to be able to look at a picture and be able to duplicate it. However, my acrylics were WAY too long, so I go in to get them cut down, which they neglect to tell me a price OR that I could keep my coffin shaped nails. So now as I leave I'm in tears that I've now spent (with a tip) $90 (removal of old acrylics, new full set w/ gel and a trim down). My nails now look horrible and are so rough, let alone the two that are shorter/slanted. I now have to try to fix them to be tolerable till I can get a rebase. Not sure who to contact as I told the gentleman, repeatedly, doing them today that they needed to be squoval so it wasn't rough. Hope they can salvage themselves from this disappointment. read more

First time at a NailBar. I usually go to a spa for this service, but the price was slightly better, so I thought I would give it a try. I went with my 14yo daughter. We booked an appointment in advance and got going immediately. We purchased the deluxe pedicures. My technician went really fast and I, unfortunately, walked out with polish on my toenails AND on my toes. This would not be acceptable at my spa. I could have done as good or better job myself and saved $50. My daughter's technician was more careful and thoughtful (offering us both a free drink) and I would say her pedicure was a good value. Bottom line: the technicians vary, the overall experience is 'fast-food' nails. read more
