Rude and weird experience: I went in for my appointment and…read moreimmediately got a not-so-nice vibe from my nail tech. I was finishing up a phone call when I walked in (not being loud at all, and quickly ended the call a minute or two after I came in), but as I sat down I got a rude look from my nail tech. I apologized immediately that I was on the phone, and it seemed to be fine after that...or so I thought. First note, it seemed pretty dirty. There was debris on the table from previous clients and no sanitation of tools being used. I was getting gel x, which I've gotten many times before. She was giving me the wrong size (too narrow) and I asked her if she could recheck the size on one of them. She said I was wrong and that this is the right size. I didn't want to argue so I let her do that. I was asked if I had a nail file halfway through the service. I thought that was strange, but I said I have some at home. She then asked if I wanted to buy one and I said I was alright because I already had one at home thinking she was meaning to take home with me, but nope. Apparently they charge customers for a nail file. She kept asking and I was very confused, so I ended up saying "I've never had to buy a nail file at a nail salon before" trying to clarify. She then gave attitude, rolled her eyes, and came back with one. We then got to the color. I picked a dark color, but after two coats it was still see-through. I opted for a third and it was still see-through. I pointed that out and she said it is bc we use the clear tips for gel-x so it will be see-through. I've had clear tips for gel-x before and have never ever had this problem, especially with a dark color. She said I could pick a different color and she placed the book on top of my hands (again with attitude). I pointed to an even darker color asking if that would be see-through too. Which she replied, "I don't know, they look different on different things". I just opted for a 4th coat hoping that maybe that would work; it didn't...they're still transparent, but I wanted to get out of there so I didn't complain. At the end, I was paying and asking for the name of who I was working with in case I had a friend who wanted to come by. She refused to give me her name and said "we don't have name tags"...even though you don't have name tags, you still have a name. I think she knew she was having attitude all night so she didn't want to be held accountable for it. After I got home, I went to check the reviews and can tell that they pad their reviews and make excuses for the lower ratings. I checked both yelp and Google. Google has significantly higher reviews (where I assume they pad their reviews) while yelp is in the 3 stars average. I was reading through lots and lots of reviews, especially the ones with replies from the company. Seems like all they do is make excuses and/or blame the customer and use "personal anecdotes" from their workers or "data" that has no credible source. I generally don't leave negative reviews, but this place warranted it. The only reason I gave it a two over a one was because one of the other nail techs seemed nice and she was their only saving grace.

I called ahead of time to make sure they are able to do dip nails, specifically dip ombré. Weeks…read moreago I'd had my nails done in Seattle dip ombré clear to black for Halloween and dip is pretty much the only thing that stays on my nails well. When I called they asked me if I could come now. I was able to get there quickly and I was greeted by a nice woman named Tiffany who sat me at someone else's station next to her. It was evident my nail tech didn't have a good grasp on English. I tried explaining what I wanted and showed my inspo photo. All I wanted was the same thing I had but clear to white instead of clear to black. I showed her a photo and she got to buffing off my top coat at placing my hands in bowls of acetone. It started pretty normal, looked like a simple dip powder base. That's when things started going downhill. She got out a color that looked white and started dipping my nails in white fully for a couple coats. Then she pulled out an eyeshadow palette and asked which color...I'd never seen eyeshadow be used for these purposes and instead of a nice fluffy brush she was prepping a tightly packed makeup brush. I started to panic when she started dipping the brush into a whiteish shadow and dabbing it on the nails, when that didn't seem to make a difference she we went to grab a sponge and nail polish, she started sponging nail polish on with a tiny sponge (not making a difference) at that point I looked to Tiffany who was working on a girls nails next to me and told her I believe something had been lost in translation. I showed her my inspo photo and the way my nails looked and what was currently happening. She talked to her and said the girl was going to fix it. Unfortunately the girl then started dabbing her brush in a yellowy brown color and dabbing it at the top of my nails (cuticle down) at that point she showed me how she had fixed it and I had to say no. I felt bad but it was bad looking. Again I interrupted Tiffany (sorry Tiffany) and showed her my inspo photo and my nails. I explained I had just wanted clear to white, I'd had that exact thing in a different color on the nails they just removed and I knew it could be done, I've had ombré dip many times before. They talked back and forth in what I can only assume is their native language and then the woman doing my nails started trying to claim what I wanted wasn't possible with dip and only with acrylics. It really frustrated me because she was gaslighting me instead of admitting something had gone wrong, she didn't have the experience and that she couldn't fix it. I got the nerve to say no to her and explained AGAIN what I'd asked for and pulled up more photos trying to make sure I was understood through Tiffany. At that point Tiffany switched with her and tried to fix it. In the end it was better but nothing like I'd asked for. Instead of a nice clear to white ombré nails I had a color sprinkled at the top that looks yellowy brown and the white just looks odd too. I'm really bummed I spent the money and time on it, I appreciate Tiffany attempting to fix my nails technician's mistakes.... they gave me $5 off, it was late and they were going to close. I feel they should have offered for me to come back and have them redone. I got home and had little cuts all over my fingers from aggressive buffing and cuticle scissors. It's an odd experience as well because there would be women there who seemed like supervisors who would come and hover for quite awhile watching the technicians work (more than one). Also something I found quite odd/inconvenient was I was asked if I'd brought my own nail file and buffer. I have never been asked to bring these things, I've never been asked for that at any nail salon and I've visited nail salons across the US and in Europe. As I was leaving I was handed a snack sized ziplock bag with the nail file and buffer they used on me and asked me to bring it back next time to avoid having to pay for it again . As far as anything else it's in a strip mall, the interior looks somewhat rundown and seriously needs a new coat of paint, something lighter would probably brighten the place up and make it appear more modern.

I'm a new mom and 2 months postpartum and was looking forward to finally getting my hair cut!…read more I'm unfortunately extremely disappointed in my haircut experience here. I booked with Hannah online and mentioned I have thick long hair and wanted a chop for summer. I've never been to this salon before, but know from past experience it's important to note thick hair while booking. Their online booking system requires the stylist to "okay" the appointment, so someone must have seen the note about thick hair. At other salons, most stylists will see the note and book out an extra 45 mins..or call to reschedule with an additional block of time. This never happened and lead to maybe the worst salon experience I've ever had? Hannah started cutting my hair, and was a quarter way through before she mentioned I'd have to leave with wet hair due to time constraints. I wish she would have been honest and up front and I would have rescheduled or found a new salon for a cut that would include a blow dry + style. She shampooed my hair for less than 4 minutes and everything just felt so rushed! I was expecting to see another client waiting for her but that was not the case. I was in and out of the salon in less than an hour. She gave me her card so I could contact her if the layers dried funny or looked bad...so off I left with wet hair and a potential hack job of a haircut. I don't recommend this place, I got in my car and cried. I expect to leave a salon feeling beautiful and that just didn't happen!

I am die hard loyal to the salon owner, Nancy. I have followed her from salon to salon for over 20…read moreyears. I am extremely picky. I want my "fake" nails to look like real ones. I get French tip acrylic nails and everything I want, Nancy does: an even arc of the white tip that is not too wide; the entire nail filed down to eliminate the telltale hump of fake nails; the nail tips not too thick (again, helping prevent that fake nail look). She is quick too! I am often in and out in 45 minutes. During this time of the "Coronacrud", the salon is taking all precautions to make your visit a safe one. I know many women are forgoing physical upkeep since they are not socializing as much as they used to, but getting pedicures/manicures could be just the thing you need to lift your spirits during this challenging time in life. Plus, continuing to do so will help local businesses stay open, so when we come out on the other side of this ordeal, there will be services still around to take care of our needs! I encourage you to support this single woman owned business. Make an appointment today, or just show up - they take walk-ins.

I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews but BIG YIKES…read more Absolutely Horrific Experience--Avoid at All Costs! If I could give this place negative and/or zero stars, I would. I walked into this empty nail salon, which should have been my first red flag, but I figured, hey, maybe it's just a slow day. Nope--it was a slow business because this place is a nightmare. First, I was sat in a broken chair that wobbled like it was about to collapse. No menu, no options--just straight to faking the funk of work. The pedicure itself lasted less than 9 minutes (yes, I timed it), and for $60, I expected at least some level of care. IInstead, the technician hacked away at my nails so aggressively that I started bleeding profusely--like, actual blood dripping down my foot. My toenails have been bleeding over a week........And do you think the nail tech acknowledged it? Nope. No apology, no effort to stop the bleeding, just a complete ice out before moving on to the next tragedy. I was in pain, bleeding, and stuck with a nail color I hated. When I politely mentioned I was bleeding and didn't like the color, I was completely ignored. Like I wasn't even there. No fix, no concern--just blank stares. When I mentioned the broken chair, no help. I was sincerely the only customer. It was disgusting. As if this horror show wasn't enough, they rushed me out like I was some kind of inconvenience, assuming I didn't have the money to pay for my service ....mmmMind you, there were still no other customers in the building, so what was the rush?? Maybe they knew they did a terrible job and didn't want to deal with the aftermath. Tbh I'm not sure but I was deeply repulsed regardless. Long story short: this place is an absolute joke. Do yourself (and your toes) a favor and go literally anywhere else. I'm grateful they let me know that my business isn't wanted here. Never again bro.
