I had such a wonderful experience here that I was shocked to see such negative reviews when I looked them up on Yelp! I had a bit of a traumatic pedicure experience a while ago (not at Nailed, somewhere else!) that left me not wanting to get pedicures for a long time. A friend recommended Nailed to me, and I had such a great experience! My appointment was at 12:45, and it took a minute for my nail tech to be ready, but I was back there by 12:55ish and done by 1:30 at the latest. I got a gel pedicure and that evening, my gel popped off one of my toes. I called and scheduled an appt the next day and they fixed it for me no charge. Will definitely be back here! It's fun and funky inside, they have a salon and a bunch of pedicure and manicure stations. It was busy when I went both times! They also have a cute little patio area too. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to share it. My family booked a private party at this salon and, unfortunately, were met with unprofessional and unfriendly behavior. During her appointment, my mom politely asked to change her nail polish color, and the nail technician visibly rolled her eyes and scoffed in response. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary. As the event was wrapping up, the manager was also passive-aggressive and appeared visibly annoyed. There had been a genuine miscommunication regarding when our private party needed to end. The only timing that had been clearly communicated was the start time, not the end time. Despite our efforts to quickly gather decorations and food, no one offered assistance or handled the situation with kindness or professionalism. What makes this even more disappointing is that everyone was treated respectfully throughout the event, and each nail technician received a $25 tip before any of this occurred. please never ever go here. They are so unprofessional, i don't even know how the people working here are qualified nail techs. I literally got one solid color of basic nail polish. I didn't ask for any design, gel x, or acrylic, just a classic nail painting job, and what I received was atrocious. I was shocked to even pay for something I could have clearly done myself at home. I left with nail polish all over my SKIN around my nails. They didn't even clean it with nail polish remover. The filing was so uneven, it looked like a child did it. The two times I have been here for a regular manicure my nails have looked good for over a week. I am not soft on my nails with 2 small children. The nail techs have never over trimmed my cuticles or put any polish near them. They use quality products and have quality nail techs and my nails are showing the good work. Keep it up!!! I've been a loyal customer for a couple of years. They called me occasionally to change my appointment, which was difficult for me as I work more than full time & am care taking my 13 yr old dog with cancer, but I accommodated them because I understand people need days off & I really liked my technician. This month was awful...I took time off work to get to my appointment (I would go to both locations because again, I liked the technician I had). She needed the day off, so they put me with someone new. Which I was not thrilled about, but I had to do it because my schedule is so busy. The receptionist was extremely rude & unprofessional. I ended up being seen by a new technician who was nice but my nails looked disgusting. They were jagged & the gel was on my actual skin. I paid the full price & left a 12 dollar tip. However, when I was done, I asked if some of the nails could be redone because they were so bad. The receptionist was confrontational, rude, and told me to just "go to another salon". I was in put in contact with the owner who made me to text her photos of the nails (which is bizarre because I am the customer and if I don't like them, I don't like them). I ended up having to go back that night to get my nails done yet again. They did not give me a discount, they did not give me my money back, they did not give me the tip back so I was not able to tip the girl that did my nails the second time that day. I came here to the 9th location with my best friend to get pedicures and gel manicures for her wedding. The atmosphere is cute and relaxing, and our nail techs were super friendly and professional, even letting my friend, the bride-to-be, switch out her polish when she didn't like the color. My nails looked good when I left. We were happy with our service and our experience. That was Wednesday afternoon. Two days later, on Friday, this was the situation. The polish on my thumbnails had already lifted off Friday morning, the day before the wedding. I was helping my friend with all the last-minute preparations and had no time to go back to the salon. So I glued the paint on my thumbs down and hoped for the best. Friday afternoon, the polish on my fingers started to lift off too. Then it came completely off, leaving me with one nail half-painted and half-not-painted, and then the paint on another nail started to lift off too. So, it looks like I paid $40 (with tip) for a gel manicure that lasted two days. I was in the wedding party, in front of an audience, with half-chipped-away polish. I mean, first-world problems, you know, but I sure feel like we threw our money away at Nailed. Too bad, this place seems to have so much else going for it! Wish I would have viewed the reviews before I decided to try them out. I started driving by their location in Millcreek a few weeks ago and decided to try it out. Booking was easy, the atmosphere is very modern. Was very clean and the staff were friendly. I signed up for a pedicure and wasn't happy with the results. I noticed the the tech was missing spots and pointed them out before she finished, but I honestly got home and pointed over them because it was that bad. I think it's overpriced for the quality and what I got. They soon sent me a text to rate my experience and like this review i have them one. My sister and I had manicures here recently and I haven't tried their other services. Everyone was very nice and friendly, and efficient. Both of our manicurists seemed very competent and we were really happy with the result. Nailed! gets 4 rather than 5 stars because it felt quite crowded - we literally had to step over people doing pedicures to get back to choose a nail color, and as we had our manicures done it felt like the merchandise was pressing up behind us. If they were fully booked I don't think it would be a relaxing experience at all. I think it's a great place to go for some ladies' time because you can get a nice meal at Trio or some treats from Tulie without having to drive anywhere else! read more

I was excited to finally find a place close by that is reasonable and does a good job! Little did I know, my credit card was left unattended and stolen!!! Not only did I pay almost $200 the week before, but apparently a week later, I was treating a stranger to services as well!! The only time I have ever trusted my card with company while I finished my manicure! I've never had a pedicure before. But I was in need of one due to rock climbing and ultra running for many years. My toes were hurting a bit and my wife suggested I get one. I called and made an appointment. When I arrived I was greeted kindly and then my foot bath thingy was started. I had Natalie (not sure if that's the correct spelling) and she was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend her. She really helped me understand how to properly care for my nails and we had a great conversation about multiple different things and I got learn a lot about her Argentinian background which was incredibly interesting. I did not have a good experience today. (I have had a good experience in the past.). First, the person doing my pedicure took a chunk of skin off of my left foot when trying to remove a callous on the side of my foot. She was in such a rush, for reasons I don't get because I was the first appointment of the day. Second, she cut my toenails incredibly short--almost to the quick, Granted I did not ask her to leave them long, but I have never had a pedicure where someone cut my toenails SO short. It looks bad, especially because she cut the big toenail on one foot noticeably shorter than on the other. What a disappointment. read more

I'm not sure why but I just wasn't blown away. I went in for a pedicure and that's what I got. I was hoping for a little bit more considering the price of their services here. My friend and I took our time picking out our color and sat down on the bench side by side. My feet aren't too calloused however I don't think that they were pumice stoned enough. I also think that the massage part of my pedicure was lacking. Lastly, the paint job didn't look super clean. I could see the stroke marks on each one of my toes and then uneven coverage of a lighter color that I picked. (My regular pedicure place manages to keep it even regardless of which color I pick.) In the end, did I walk away with my toes painted and clipped? Yes. I just don't think I'd pay as much as I did for a pedicure at this place. read more

I have been a faithful customer for 5 years since moving her, and regularly had appointments for a variety of services. However, the owner of the salon does not value my business. She recently put in policy to charge people who miss appointments. Though I have rarely missed an appointment, I was insulted when she lied to me that this is a long standing policy. I have made numerous appointments (including for parties) for the past several years and have never been told about this policy. I felt Nailed! by her! She says she is so busy that she cannot provide individual service to regular customers so don't bother becoming one. If you do choose to go there, be selective on your technician as some of them are inexperienced and don't do a good job. I will be looking for a new place. read more

What is up with all the negativity towards Nailed, Utahns? Too expensive? This place is hella' cheap for what you get! My mani was $18. Complaints about the receptionist? How does that ruin a great manicure? After all, what kind of service do you get in the Vietnamese-owned place (Which I totally frequent)? For basic services, I've rarely experienced better in Utah. Admittedly, I can't speak for the whole staff, but let me say that Jenny is a great spa technician. I suffer from a rare condition, which makes giving me a manicure particularly difficult. Jenny nevertheless did a FABULOUS job. I've gotten a ton of compliments on my peachy nails over the past two days! Others have noted, this place is adorable. WAAAAY too expensive! They offer manicure/pedicures for $40-$60 which is just way too much for the services they offer. This is not a spa and they don't even have massage chairs! They charge this much for pretty much the location. I did like my pedicure overall (good massage, good mag selection) with $10 extra wax (too $$$) and it was ok. My manicure was horrible and peeled off the next day. I am hoping I just got a bad manicurist and am willing to give this place another shot because I really want to like it due to super cute decor and nice spot, but man - get your prices under control! I got waxing services and they too were also overpriced. The waxing room serves as the employee check in/storage area, so there is constant traffice which isn't fun when getting a bikini wax. Yes, there are curtains, but still.....notsomuch. On a good note - the shopping is AMAZING there. They have super cute stuff and although kinda expensive, it's fun to shop there. I got my first manicure here on December 24th so my nails would be festive for Christmas. Unfortunately, after 6 hours of normal activities my nail polish was chipped and had completely pealed off three nails (see photos). I have been unable to get anyone on the phone at Nailed! so I reached out via text with no response. I even provided feedback and photos via their automated feedback text service, with no reply. I live in Orange County, CA. I can get several great mani/pedis within stone throws from my house but while visiting for Thanksgiving, I wanted to treat my 13 year old niece to her first service ever. The place is totally cute. I love the sanitary foot soaks. Don't care they don't have massage chairs. The girls working are cute and bubbly. I'll pay 50 bucks for a sanitary mani/pedi. She did a fabulous paint job (however, the girl who did my niece's was even better!). But I have ingrown toenails and told her to try and get them. She looked at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my ears. She said, "I'm afraid of hurting you so I don't remove those.". Huh? I guess she's been licensed for just a few months and confidence in ones self grows with experience. So I understand but I am annoyed I have to get it re-done. When I booked my appointment I was told I was booked for the millcreek location. 30 prior to my appointment I received a call informing me that they accidently booked me for the 9th and 9th location. When I arrived to the 9th and 9th location and checked in for my Gel Mani and regular Pedi she said they did not accept the groupon at that location. When I informed her of the miscommunication she said they would take it which I am thankful for. My pedicure was good not great. My Gel manicure on the other hand was horrible! she did not have me soak my nails, my cuticles look worse than when I came in, my nails are filed unevenly and my gel which is supposed to last for two weeks is already chipping after 18 hours...REALLY. I get it. Sometimes you just want to pop into a place, sit in the chair and get a quick, cheap mani in under 45 minutes. Who cares if the person is yelling at another worker in a different language (wait, did she just point at me when she was yelling?). Ok, well if you don't want nasty old foot skin spewing out in those jetted tubs, and you want to wrap a professionally done service (and hey, throw in a brow wax while you're there!), Nailed is where it's at. While the prices are just a hair above some of the express nail places, you get what you pay for: high end salon care and products, at a more reasonable rate. The employees are always so nice and helpful, and the variety of services mean I can fit in a pedi and a brow wax all in my one hour lunch break! This place is locally owned, and the cute mother and daughter that own it go to all the best markets (LA, Atlanta, etc.) to find the cutest clothes, accessories and home products. This is a great place to find gifts for friends, or go to treat yourself without breaking the bank. Places with this much local charm but national style are hard to come by. Nailed is AWESOME! I had an inexperienced tech one time and thought the quality was not up to their usual standards. I called in and told the manager and they comped my next service! That's good customer service. Having moved to SLC from San Diego, I have not found my tried & true nail salon here. Nailed came recommended to me by someone who frequents and has had good experiences. So I scheduled myself & my 2 bridesmaids manis & pedis the day before my wedding. I booked weeks in advance & on that day as I realized we were going to be running late for our appointment I called & they were wonderful about moving our appt to 30 mins later. When we arrived, the salon was extremely busy - which is a good sign to me. Everyone we met was very nice and the owner even treated us to truffles. The customer service is excellent. Unfortunately, the manicure & pedicure began wearing off almost immediately. I'm not sure How since they put on 3 coats and a top coat and we sat there for awhile while they dried but within hours, my nails no longer looked like they had just been done. Maybe 3 coats was too much because the polish seemed thick as she painted even with her putting thinner in it. There are "dents" in the polish even though I sat there for a long time with the fan on them. The shade is so light that only 2 coats would've been too sheer! My guess is that they needed a new polish. Several days later - my nails of course only look worse, with more marks & the sides beginning to flake off. I hate leaving bad reviews but I hope the salon can learn from it somehow! There's a lot of potential for this salon given the great attitudes of everyone there! read more

Loved this place. Came here with a large bridal shower party, and the salon was extremely accommodating. The aestheticians were friendly, hilarious, and very skilled. The salon has great cleanliness standards, and even offer to let you take your files and buffers home since they just throw them out. They're a little pricey, but you're paying for quality. I typically don't write a while lot of reviews, but i was quite disappointed with my shellac. Before I go into detail about my shellac manicure let me tell you about the pros first. 1. The boutique is very cute, quaint and very clean. 2. The nail tech that I had was friendly and I didn't feel like I needed to talk to her the whole time that I was there. 3. Plenty of shellac/gel color selections. Cons: 1. My shellac manicure started to bubble after 2 days. 2. It was kind if expensive, $35. 3. My shellac mani wasn't very smooth. I can feel the bumps and lumps after it was dried. You know when you touch your finger nails it's smooth; mine wasn't. I could have been the nail tech didn't apply the shellac evenly. All and all I was disappointed because I was hoping that my shellac would last longer than 2 days. Personally it's not worth money; I actually ended up getting my nails done again at The Nail Room and they look great with no bumps. read more

First time visitor. I came in for a gel manicure. Hannah was not friendly or welcoming, and frankly seemed put out. The salon was filthy and the towel on her station had seen at least one customer before I sat down. There was a bit of gel on a few of my nails from my last manicure at my regular salon, which she had no intention of removing until I specifically asked her to. $35 included no hand massage, no lotion and a very sub par paint job. Today after yoga to hope that they could give me a mani to repair some really yucky nails. I arrived 30 min to close and they sneezed me in, treated me super great, and my nails look so good!
