My rating for this place is precisely 2.7, which is close to 3, but I still think I should choose the 2 star option. It is definitely worth giving this place a chance, I'm glad I gave it a chance. But I don't think I'll be coming here again unless there's a killer deal. This place is pretty cute & has a wide selection of OPI nail polishes... That's pretty much the first pro I can think of to be honest. +1 star I had a mani/pedi here for ~$28 with the $20 for $25 deal. My friend & I came here pretty late; they were very welcoming & let us come close to closing time. That was very sweet of them. They didn't even rush with our nails. Very sweet people. Nice service. They even have refreshments & candies out! +2 stars BUT, the quality wasn't great at all. They cut too painfully close to my cuticles & the work didn't look so clean. I've had way better mani/pedis before & they were cheaper. The nail polish surprisingly didn't even last long even though it was OPI, I suppose it depends on how it's applied & it wasn't that great. The biggest con: they cut my toenails too painfully short & very uneven. The nail polish didn't reach the base of the nail either. Will be attaching a picture of it. -1 star My nails did not look so good after coming out of here. Once again, as much as I would like to return, I only will if there's a deal I cannot resist. read more

I went there a little over a week ago for a gel mani. They didn't have the color I wanted but the lady was pretty nice about matching the closest thing she had to it. The salon itself is also clean and aesthetically really nice. However, my gel polish chipped off after less than a week. For $27 I expect at least 14 days out of it. And also, I wasn't overly impressed with the shaping and application. The polish didn't go all the way down to my nail base, a pet peeve of mine, and the shape was kind of uneven. I probably should have said something but I was on a lunch break and didn't have time to get into it. read more

New nail salon in Arcadia! The place: Very clean and bright. Located on busy Foothill Blvd. Plenty of parking in lot behind salon. Spa pedicure chairs, nail stations, and waxing room. Essie, OPI, China Glaze, and Sally Hansen polishes. The results: I'm so delighted with my manicure. I went in knowing what color I wanted and that I also wanted a small design for Valentine's Day. I was welcomed and offered a coffee or tea and promptly seated for my manicure. The manicure was thorough and design came out very cute! So happy! read more

I'm just a regular guy from Brooklyn. But sometimes, I like to step out of my comfort zone and treat myself. And whenever I come to LA to visit my wife's family, I make a point to stop by Nailin' It for a simple manicure. Nothing crazy. Just the nails trimmed and the cuticles cleaned up. The hand massage towards the end isn't too shabby either. I don't have the best looking fingernails of all time and my wife reminds me of this constantly. The technicians do a great job on making my fingers look less like I've been dragging them through gravel. The Nailin' It staff is very amicable and accommodating. The atmosphere is always very welcoming and I love the natural light that pours in through the front window. I know there's a lot of competition in the area but this place is doing a good job of standing out in a crowd. read more

Loved this place! I've been on the search for my go-to nail place and I believe I found it. The ladies are very hospitable and they're very intricate with doing your nails. I'm not married to any one nail salon. I move around, and have tried a plethora of places within a 6 - 8 mile radius of my home. This was another new one to me. Apparently, they have been open here about 1 year. Yelp had a $25 for $20 voucher that I purchased after calling to see if they had time for a mani-pedi. Yes, they could take me right away so hopped on over there. Street parking was a little tough but managed to find a spot within 1 block. A lot of places don't have such a great selection of colors, but not the case here -- they had the full rainbow and then some. Kimmy did my feet and Kim did my hands. I had painful ingrown nails on both of my big toes that Kimmy worked some magic on, providing me with some relief (I hate those buggers)! I added the extra lemon scrub which smelled lovely and felt divine. Massage was nice as well just wished it was longer... ahhhh. All in all, it ended up being $32 so I paid $20 for voucher + $7 extra + $11 in tips = $38. Both gals were sweet and did a really nice job! Oh and they told me there is a parking lot in back -- good to know for the next time, and I WILL be returning. Thanks ladies! read more

I've been coming to Nailin It since it opened earlier this year. They have a wide variety of colors for both nail polish and gel. The owners are very welcoming and make sure their customers are always taken care of. I come in about twice a month for a mani/pedi and I've never been disappointed. First thing I noticed about this salon was the smell!!! It didn't smell like chemicals or how a nail salon usually smells. I mean it was a beautiful day and they had both doors open!!! I went on a Friday night and it was very relaxing there was good music playing in the background. I had my mani & pedi done by kimmy and she was the best her attention to detail I recieved a foot scrub that made my feet feel so soft she took her time and didn't rush. I made an appointment at a different nail shop and accidentally ended up here instead. So glad I did!!! Love this place and I highly recommend it if you are in the area!! I got a Gel Manicure and Pedicure from Kim and she was friendly and did a great job. Lynn who worked the front desk was super nice and even gave me a free cuticle oil for my birthday. I have mixed reviews about this nail salon, more cons than pros. The staff was very friendly and personable, however I had made an appointment for a full set AND a manicure but never received the manicure. I explained to the miss doing my nails that my nails are very brittle and weak, so please be gentle. She was, for the most part, but about an hour after the appointment, my finger nail beds began to hurt! It's now been 12 hours since my appointment and my nails are still very sensitive and in pain. Towards the end of my appointment I noticed that the utensils being used on my fingers were not cleansed beforehand, which was very off putting. They were clearly used on several different customers. And could possibly be the reason why my fingers are so tender now. I most likely won't be returning to this salon. read more
