Went here today for a deluxe pedicure and manicure. I had an appointment, was seen pretty soon after walking in, which was nice. The lady that did my pedicure was on her phone THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME with her ear buds in so it took me a minute to figure out who she was talking to... she never checked in to see if everything was ok, the water temperature was ok or anything else. She massaged my legs for way too long with the scrub and gloves so it was almost painful, her nails were really long so they kept scratching me (pretty painful, not relaxing at all), no hot stone (which is included in the deluxe pedicure), everything she put on me was freezing cold except the hot towels (which she didn't ask if the temperature was ok). No lotion after mask/hot towels so my legs and feet are dry. The manicure was ok, just I was expecting a hand / arm massage - got a very quick hand massage and lotion applied to the bottom of my arms. The lady was nice. I asked the girl at the front if it was normal for their therapists to be on the phone the entire time they are doing treatment, she said no ma'am. I also let her know about the long nails, etc. to which she apologized. I am a business owner - if I treated my clients this way, I would not be in business. And if a client had a terrible appointment, I would definitely make it right. They didn't seem to care. They did ask if I wanted to pay cash / credit and if I wanted to leave a tip... Parking is terrible also.. I went based on a recommendation but will not go back. read more

Nails 3 - Nail Salons Near Me - Matthews, North Carolina

So- it has been hit and miss, but unfortunately the miss was so much of a miss that it outweighs the hits. I usually hit up Nails 3 for a Brazilian ($60- WTF- Upscale Waxing salons charge $50) and an underarm ($30- WTF?? Usually it is $15 TOPS). My brazilians usually take 10-15 mins max. But today, it took close to 35 minutes because they had a trainee doing it. #1 they did not inform me a trainee was doing it #2. if you do have a trainee do it, DO NOT charge the full rate #3. the trainee literally had to do the same spot over 4-5 times which mean now my entire right side, the skin is raw and peeled #4. The job was pretty abysmal and really, because they didn't know what they were doing, it didn't really rip the hair out, the hair just broke. So i have stubble. 5. does this trainee have her license to perform such tasks? Pretty unfortunate that this place overcharges and allows trainees to do BRAZILIANS and expecting you to pay the full rate (sorry, no, had i known, i would NOT have agreed). read more

Didn't love my experience here. I had to ask for my cuticles to be cleaned up better, and they still weren't great after. They didn't clean under my nails or ask if I wanted my nails shorter. They did a quick file and cuticle cut and put polish on. It's so bad I took off the polish a few hours later and thought about going somewhere else for a manicure that day. While visiting from Las Vegas, my friend brought me here for a pedicure. It was 10:30on a Friday and it was very busy. Almost every chair was filled. After being seated I expected to be rushed through the service, but that was not a what happened. Andy took his time with me, asked questions and tailored his service to my needs. I was actually blown away with the mani/pedi I had done here yesterday, they did an amazing job and it was honestly the best I've ever had. My manicure normally chips in less than 24 hours and this one feels almost as if I had gel done, I don't know what their secret is but they still look and feel amazing. I went in to Nails 3 at 630 (they close at 730) for a mani pedi. Regular polish on my toes and fake nails with SNS on my fingers. Firstly, I felt bad for going in so close to closing. They didn't remedy this as they cleaned the entire salon and started putting away materials before I was even getting polish on. I ended up staying until about 745 and it was clear that I wasn't welcome after about 715. The actual experience wasn't bad, the pedicure was pretty good, just a standard foot massage and paint with some scrubs. My manicure was horrible. The woman doing my fingers laughed with the woman doing my toes saying I have "ginormous cuticles." She also seemed to rush through the process. On the positive side, she did 2 nails and I was unsure of the color and another employee grabbed me a different color and she redid those 2 nails. The results are the worst part. My pointer finger is completely crooked. My nails are all different lengths. The worst part, the fake nails are coming off! They were clearly not glued down properly so there is sand and salt stuck between the fake nail and my nail after a beach trip. After talking to someone else they said I need to take the nails off immediately because I can get a serious fungus from this mistake. I paid $95 for a standard pedicure and a manicure with SNS which is on the high side for sure. Overall, I felt rushed through a decent experience and received horrible results. I have been a frequent customer without any complaints. I never make appointments, but this place is BUSY so just be prepared to wait for service. They have been a lifesaver since I have horrible ingrown toenails and they always fix it-went to other places previously and the people made it worse. I have not gotten my eyebrows (I have to either have brows threaded or tweezed) or eyelashes done here, but also done a underarm wax and was easy and as comfortable as possible. read more

I wanted to like this place because of its location and the atmosphere inside is nice. Spa music playing, it looked very clean, greeted right as I walked in. But then the service started... I have gotten acrylics for over 10 years and have never had this many issues with a fill in. I already had the shape I wanted and just asked the nail tech to follow the same shape but just cut them down a little. He proceeded to cut my nails down and ask if they were short enough, I asked for a little shorter (no problem thanks for asking for clarification) then he starts to file my nails with a file that was so old it wouldn't even file the sides of my nails (hello terrible sanitation practice using a file that long) he went to get an extremely gritty file from the back and even asked another tech for her well worn file as well. The grit he was using on my nails to shape them was too way too much. He cut me twice while cleaning my cuticles with the drimmel tool after I had already said "ouch" multiple times (proper sanitation also not followed for blood borne pathogens) he couldn't shape my nails like I wanted so I just settled for what he could do. Then we get to painting, I asked for 3 coats after the first two because the polish was very translucent and the way he was applying the polish caused divets in my nails because it wasn't a smooth application. To help blend in the lumps he put even more polish on and had me hold my hands in front of a fan (no drying stations here apparently) because there was so much polish on my nails and they were put in front of a fan only the top of the polish dried and everything underneath still wasn't set (mind you my middle finger on my right hand took a total of 3 hours to dry) I pay 25$ for this terrible fill and still leave a tip. Once outside I noticed that the acrylic filings were still attached underneath my nails and the polish wasn't capped on the tips either. If you are looking for somewhere to get a great acrylic fill this is NOT the place for you. read more

I went to Nails 3 to get an eyebrow waxing, and I was very disappointed in the service. The woman who did my eyebrows had food sitting next to the waxing station. I would have preferred to wait while she finished her lunch than to look at it sitting out around the area that should have been sterile. Also, she took a phone call while she was working on my eyebrows. She was canceling her Old Navy credit card, and she didn't have her social security number right. She was arguing with the Old Navy associate on the phone while she was dumping hot wax in the region of my eyeballs. It was pretty weird. Fortunately, my eyebrows came out ok. The salon seems nice with lots of pedicure chairs and bright, colorful space...I won't be back to see if it was just a fluke, though. read more

Not only are they friendly and personable, they are meticulous and perfectionists when it comes to their services. During my eyebrow sessions, I have never noticed anything other a sterile area. The session is in fact so relaxing, that I find myself falling asleep. After years of searching and jumping from place to place, this is my go to Salon. Upsell is the name of the game at this place. I was offered so many services, I couldn't keep up. I also didn't expect to pay as much as I did for an underarm wax ($30)! Had I known it was this much, I would've gone to another salon. On the plus side, the ladies who did my manicure and waxing were very nice and the place was very busy, so it's a popular spot. Many choices available and my favorites are gel nails - shellac brand removes easily without long soaks that could damage nails; pedicures (even the regular ones are amazing with a nice long leg massage); and eyebrow waxing . They're nice, but I've been here countless times to get my eyebrows waxed for several years and out of all of those times (a few times a year since I was like 13), I've maybe been pleased with the job they've done twice. They do not take their time and they don't even seem to care what the outcome is as long as you pay them for doing the job... Only reason I keep going back is because it's familiar and I'm not sure of many other places in the area to go to, but I'm sick of always being dissatisfied and always having to fix what they've screwed up. read more

I really like this place. It's big, clean, and the staff is really kind. Had mani and pedi. The above average quality is due to an excellent dead skin removal from feet, long hand, forearm, sole and calf massage. They are a little pushy to cross sell their services, but that didn't bother me enough to downrate the nail place. Price-wise, they are charging the average fee for this area. Situated next to Thai Taste shopping center. Popped in for a leg wax. Room was not especially clean. Technician did not really say much at all. Was fair when it came to the wax removal. Her technique needs work. After all i have been waxing for 15 years. I don't have a lot of hair anyway, I would much rather preferred her over many comparable salons. She did go back when I asked and pointed to the missed hairs. I also opted for another service. I had a foot massage thought it would help remove some of the wax she left behind. That again was mediocre. She barely put any effort and was checking her phone whilst she was massaging my feet, really?! What can I say, I am a critic. The salon is very cute and has a great space, however it isn't a high-end salon you would expect in other areas of Charlotte. Every technician I've worked with is friendly, and after getting pedicures at numerous salons in the Charlotte area as well as a couple in the Atlanta area, I've found that those done at Nail 3 last the longest. After going to a salon that was highly recommended and getting my nails messed up, The ladies at Nails 3 were SO sweet and helpful. I was impressed by the number of regulars I saw, and someone was always checking on me to see I was comfortable and ok. I did not get any hair removal, but I HIGHLY recommend this place for nails, manicure and pedicure. Their work is at a high standard, even for an OCD customer such as myself. A relaxing atmosphere and nice nails at a decent price. What more could you ask for? read more
