I was here Saturday and it's clean, has a nice atmosphere, great selection of colors from gel to SNS, friendly and accommodating staff. I've been to many nail salons from NYC to NC and here, they always manage to do SNS correctly. All of the shops I've been to in NYC, never managed to clean the SNS underneath my nails which is uncomfortable after you leave when it sticks to your nails. This shop is Horrible! I went on Monday waited forever for services and had to return today so they could fix the chipped gel polish. I'm glad I had my receipt cause they were looking like Nails Nails we don't do nails smh. So when I got there they sealed my hands up in acetone and aluminum foil then put my them in a ziplock bag. My joints were roasting (translation my hands were burning)!!! It felt like I was Holding Hands with Satan himself!!! Then the lady looks at me and says I no do you nails I do way better (translation she was like Gurl Idk who did your nails but she got you, Periodt)! Then she leaves looks back and said she will do your nails over ("she" is the lady that did my nails on Monday). Then she gave the lady a look and went back to sawing down on her customers feet and speaking in her native tongue. IDK what happen in iColor last night but from the looks of thing heads will roll about this little mix up. Back to the story, my hands are still blazing in the fiery pits of hell bag! I'm thinking Lord please don't let me go out like this Lord. I have a promising future and I need my hands to succeed! Fast forward to the bag removal, I'm with the lady from Monday she grabs my hands and says what happened in a judgmental way. I said umm I was laying in my bed and a piece of my polish just popped off. Then she starts being nice and apologizing. Now she's working in a zone then looks over to the left and says is that you son he's well behaved and listens. I said yes ma'am and thank you. It gets creepier then she asks is he always with you ummmm wt- Ma'am! Now I'm like what the beeeep!!! I'm thinking like are these people kidnapper? (I kid you not, my son had just said I need to use the restroom and I said no we'll be leaving in a min). Then she stopped talking with me finished my nails and said Bye! Lol I guess I overstayed my welcome! The finished product looks a Hot mess but I'm not going back... IColor change up the look of their Nail salon and customer service too. You can tell they keep switching people in charge. i have been going here for 2 years now and have never been over charged! i paid $70 for acrylic nails last week... THEY DID NOT EVEN STAY ON FOR 2 WEEKS! i went back and told another lady that it broke off and she charged me another $65 because she said she fixed a nail and my nails are already long... but my nails were still fresh.. no fill in needed. they are over charging people and i can't wait until they get called out... they are taking advantage of people now... never paid more than $40 or 45 for a fill in or to get 1 NAIL FIXED. read more

I was surprised to see that I had not reviewed I ColorNail Bar yet. I thought I had. I have probably been here about seven times now. I do really like it. It is located up on the hill and there is Subway next door and on the other side is an Arby's . Lots of parking in the lot here. Like most nail salons these days, they push the gel color. I do not do gel just regular manicures and pedicures. The best thing they have here is their pedicures. They have incredible pedicure packages. It is my favorite thing to do here. I also get a manicure at the same time. The last time I got a pedicure they used a type of gel that they put into the water and it's super moisturizing. I had never experienced this type a pedicure before. It was very nice. It is nice and clean here. They always offer you something to drink. As well they also do waxing . This is a very simple. The ladies did a fabulous job on our nails but I was disappointed a few days later when my polish chipped. I am not sure if it was the new company or what because I've had gel last up to 2 weeks but this only lasted a few days. Disappointing. I came here to remove my current powder polish and for a quick manicure (it was time I give my nails a break). I splurged on the more expensive pedicure because I needed lots of moisture! The pedicure was great but the actual quality of the bottled polish was poor. For my mani, I sat for at least 45 min with my nails soaking in acetone. My fingers started to burn and my nails were brittle. I went to scratch my leg (while they were still wrapped) and it caused a nail to bend backwards-hurt so bad! At this point, they sent an unqualified tech (she was either learning or a front desk staff) to take off my polish. During this time she would get up and answer the phone, etc. I almost just did it all myself. It was just such poor survive that I felt like the burden. I still paid $25 for the manicure and $55 for the pedi. It just felt like such a waste of money. read more

Allow me to begin with saying the place itself is very clean and have great polish selections. However, the service is horrible. The manager can be extremely rude along with a few of the nail techs. My last time there one of the nail techs cut my finger by not paying attention and then laughed as if it wasn't a big deal. I paid $50 for a pedicure and my heels were not even scrubbed properly. Not to mention my SNS Manicure was thick and polish is chipping after 1 week. I will NEVER go back to them. The way they treat their non-white customers is wrong and almost discriminatory, yet most of their customers are non-white from what I've seen. read more

This guy did my nails and told me how awful my hands looked and I needed more manicures... Thanks guy, I get that you want me to get my nails done often, but I'm good. He kept repeating it, like I love hearing that or something. Despite that comment, my nails looked nice when I left... That was short lived. I got them done on Wednesday, for a wedding on Sunday. So I asked what the extra $3 was for since she didn't repair any of my nails...she said it was $3 to cut down my nails which has NEVER happened ever and I used to recommend this place to people. He looked like a high school student, probably the owners kid.... the young guy botched my gel manicure. Then they blamed the nail tech errors on me picking a "bad" color. I have been here 3 times and every single time my gel peels off within 3 days. I thought that the first time it was just a fluke so I gave them the benefit of the doubt - nope. It's a nice salon. I've gotten pedicures, gel manicures and came in for just a paraffin treatment. I had one gel manicure that didn't last and one pedicure/gel manicure where the technician was so rough. I think she was in a hurry and didn't understand my sensitivities. I like that the rewards program is tracked by phone number so you don't have to keep up with a card. They are not good at acknowledging customers when they walk in the door. I have nothing but great things to say about icolor and this is now my go-to salon in Charlotte! I purchased a groupon for a shellac manicure and have been back for more mani's since. They have this fun nail drying area with these fans that are made in America. One word when choosing this salon, DON'T. Another word that comes to mind is RUN! I went in for a change of polish on my hands and feet and left with a broken finger nail and a broken spirit. The man who greeted me at the door was rude and I should have followed my gut and left but unfortunately I chose otherwise and I fully regret it. The lady who he sent me to was very inexperienced and tried her best, to no avail. I ended up leaving without color on both my hands and feet with a broken finger nail because they were so rough removing the polish. Oh! Not to mention they charged me $20 for this botched job. Let me start my saying, iColors has been my favorite place in Charlotte since I moved here over a year ago.. and after a couple bad visits, I blamed it merely on being busy. After this evening, I will no longer be coming here. The service was not only slow, it was non-existent. I asked for a glass of wine as soon as I was seated in a pedicure chair, but the man shrugged and walked away. Having only a handful of customers in the salon, I figured the wait would not be long. 45 minutes later with my pedicure water at sub-arctic temperatures, I asked if they could put warmer water in whilst I waited. They begrudgingly took a bucket of water out and replaced it with equally cold water. Another 45 minutes passed. Being seated in the chair closest to the door, I could hear when people came in and said they didn't have appointments. They were seated, serviced and sent on their way. 6 people later, I inquired as to long long it may be.. now that any other reasonable salon would be closed and after 1.5 hours, I felt committed. Once again, the man nearest to me shrugged and said he didn't know why I was skipped repeatedly. At this point, the only thing more dry than my non existent wine glass was my cuticles. Eventually, after my friend said she would skip having her nails done so that I could have a pedicure, the shrugger rolled over to my chair and gave me a 12 minute pedicure, never actually speaking to me. We both left frustrated and half polished. I get that you are busy. That is great for your small business, but set some level of expectation for customers as they enter.. and some standard for your employees to tend to clients in an organized manner. I LOVE this nail salon. It's not super glamorous like some others around Charlotte, but it's truly a hidden gem. I send all of my friends here, because they do amazing work and it doesn't take three hours. They're efficient, friendly and really great at what they do. Gel polish from other salons begin peeling a couple days after I get them done. This is the only salon that has given me a gel manicure that lasts more than two weeks. I have nothing but positive things to write about iColor Nail Bar. The layout is very inviting and spacious with a modern feel. The aroma alone will have you hooked. You are greeted by up beat music playing in the background as well as a friendly staff. The decor definitely lives up to the name; as they have a full service bar with accompanying stools where you can relax with a professional manicure. The pedicure station is unique also because the pedicure bowls have a disqo-ish crystal liner that's super fun and trendy. Aside from the overall atmosphere, the quality and service I was granted was amazing. I personally set an appointment with Steven after having my nails done by him previously. He really caters to you as a client and is PRECISE with his work. No rush jobs as I've previously encountered in other shops. They are extremely clean which is a deal breaker in my opinion with any establishment. The prices are very fair considering the treatment you are receiving. I also appreciate that they have various TV's which you can control should you have access to the remote. They're up to date and high tech with their register as well as their rewards card which is FABULOUS. I've never been to a salon that offers an online rewards program nor a virtual punch card that is unique to each customer. All in all, I wouldn't trust any other salon to touch my nails. Tried this one because its right beside CycleBar and I was trying to make the most of a free Friday night (I know, I'm wild). Seemed very clean. Went with a friend and other than that it was not very crowded and we did not feel rushed at all, even being there the last hour they were open for the day. The staff was nice and friendly. They have a large selection of gel polish. I really liked that they did what I asked for, a gel polish change, and did not try to talk me into a bunch of other stuff. A couple a girlfriends and I went to get our nails done here and were totally ripped off. They we're running a special for buy a "signature" pedicure and get free gel polish on your nails for $35 total. The technician's gave us the wrong type of pedicure and a full manicure and we were charged over $50. While the place is clean and our technicians we're good, the owner manager was very pushy. He conceited to giving us 20% off after we complained multiple times, but it still came to $46. He would not give us the special price we asked for when we originally walked in and said we could get it next time. I don't live here and if I did there would definitely be no next time for me or the girls I was with. read more
