I had a fantastic experience at Ultra Nail Boutique this evening and would highly recommend them! I called ahead on a busy Tuesday around 5pm, and they answered right away and were able to get me in immediately despite being busy. The service was excellent from start to finish. My technician was super attentive and gave me one of the best calf massages I've had during a pedicure--truly terrific and relaxing. I left feeling pampered and refreshed. The only minor hiccup was that the Yelp check-in process took a bit longer than expected, but that was a tiny inconvenience compared to the great service I received. Honestly, my first visit wasn't great, and my previous review reflects that. However, after trying out different places around South End, I decided to give Ultra another chance--and I'm so glad I did! I've booked with several nail techs, but Jumie and Han are my go-tos--they're incredible at what they do and always make me feel so welcome. I truly appreciate their hard work and will definitely continue booking with them! I really feel like I've found my go-to spot at Ultra. They know me on a first-name basis, remember my favorite drink when I arrive, and always find a way to make extra time whenever I want a little extra special something for my nails, toes, or waxing. Their attention to detail and customer are unmatched. You get what you pay for! They are moderately priced and if you go elsewhere and pay less... it won't be worth it trust me. I have been coming here for a while and always get SNS with Jenny. Jenny is wonderful. I was told today that I could come in at 4:30 instead of my 5:15 appointment. When I got there the front lady sat me and said Jenny would be right over. Jenny had another appointment at 4:30 because the system double booked she later told me which wasn't her fault. Things happen. However, the lady at the front desk- knowing that Jenny just started on another person acted as if I wasn't about to wait an hour! I was not offered a drink. I was not told that there was going to be an extreme wait. I would of left and came back. 45 minutes in someone was sent over to wrap my previous SNS. Jenny was apologetic even tho it wasn't her fault but this could have been avoided by communicating when I walked in the door. Instead I was avoided for 45 minutes. I would have just left and came back. Huge waste of time. read more

In town for PGA championship & didn't have time for mani/pedi before leaving home. Was eating lunch next door on Thursday & walked in to get a regular pedicure & gel manicure (my usual at home). Prices were reasonable for the basic service & was seated right away. Unfortunately the gel manicure didn't even last 3 days! I noticed the corner of my thumb chipped off by Saturday. Sunday evening half of the gel peeled & popped off from my middle finger. Then this morning half my pointer finger gel peeled off! I left to go back home this morning, so didn't have time to go back to get 3 fingers redone. Waste of $40 + tip! read more

My nails looked horrible and I was cut during my pedicure. I was only offered to come back in to redo. It takes about an hour and a half to get this all done which I don't have time for. They didn't paint or fill in to the cuticle and after 5 days it looks like 2 weeks or grow out. I will not be back. read more

My nails are okay , but I wouldn't book with VY. She's not polite or engaging. Didn't offer me the gel color wheel, just asked what color very rudely . Why is it that all the other patrons were shown color wheels ?? Wasn't offered a drink until she noticed all other customers had drinks. I felt my nails were rushed . And when i was almost done with my nails I noticed she charged me an extra $5 for long nails look at the picture .. my nails are short. I walked In today at 5 when they close at 6 and got both a gel manicure and gel pedicure Which both turned out wonderfully. Cindy was my nail tech and she kept ensuring me I was fine because I felt bad. she treated me as well as anyone would've if I came in during the middle of her shift. The manicure I asked for ( almond french) versus the manicure I got. Tech stopped part way when I kept asking about them being thinner and referencing the first photo and said this was "the best [she] could do, sorry". I would've preferred she tell me from the beginning if she couldn't shape them how I asked. I was also charged separately for the French style *and* for shaping totaling $88 when I routinely pay $75 or less in the area for the same manicure done much more to my specifications and more quickly. It's used to be my go to place but they never answer the phone anymore. I came in at the beginning of January after making an appointment online, was in the lobby for 8 minutes and never greeted. Had to go into the salon and tell someone I was even there. 35 minutes later the nail tech I requested wasn't available and someone else did my nails. Nita was there but when I asked they said she was doing someone else and I have to request her...which I did. During my service I heard the phone ring over and over again but everyone ignored it. I guess they don't have front desk staff anymore. Nita is my go to tech. She's amazing. Im due for another appointment tried calling Saturday...nothing. Tried calling today, no answer. Online the only tech you can book for the whole month of Feb is Brenda. I'm going to try the location in Midtown and see if it's any better. read more

My first time I told her what I was thinking and she had something completely different in mind for a wedding I was in. Turns out I loved her suggestion and got the same exact thing the next three times I went. She says my nail shape is hard to work with, but takes her time and does an amazing job. I went in for a manicure and pedicure ($105), and when I asked to adjust just two nails to one solid color, the technician was rude and charged me an extra $40 for it. I ended up paying $145 for poor service and bad quality within a week one nail broke while typing, another bent completely, and a third one hurts and feels like it's about to break. This was my second visit; the first time was fine with a different technician, but this time I felt mistreated, overcharged, and the products were clearly low quality. read more

Came here with my mom & unfortunately did not have a good experience. Both nail techs were extremely rough, my manicure only lasted 3 days before it had chipped significantly. The tech who was doing my nails soaked my nails in alcohol, probably at least 10 times throughout the manicure. It left my nails extremely dry and brittle.
