I've been going to this nail salon for years. Service has not always been great, but today was beyond egregious. The service was provided by Andrea, who seemed less than thrilled to be there. Furthermore, there was an obvious difference in the treatment of the white customers vs. customers of color was so obvious that it almost made me feel like I ignored a sign that read "WHITES ONLY". Have given it multiple attempts because it's so close to me but they do an awful job, always try to force me into a cheaper brand of polish (um, no thanks I want what I want?) and rush through everything. I Would give them negative stars if I could. My mom and I walked in on Friday to get our nails done. When we arrived, it was quite busy given that it was so close to Christmas. Yet we were not greeted at the door and all.. we just stood there for a few minutes awkwardly waiting to be served..like everyone else who came in afterwards. We finally decided to pick out colors and sit down when we realized no one would help us. When it was finally our turns, the nail attendant said it would be $60 for a powder fill and gel polish. I had acrylic nails with gel polish already on my fingers. They couldn't do an acrylic fill (which I found very odd) and so I decided to get the powder fill instead. Mind you I have never paid that much money for that service. I found it quite expensive and thus was expecting premium service for a premium price. While I was getting my nails done, the technician was rushing since there was such a long queue. The salon quickly filled in with 8-10 more people waiting to get served while they stood. Some had appointments but the technicians didn't seem to care or honor these appointments. After we left, I was so frustrated with the experience, I vowed never to go back. But then I noticed Saturday evening that my polish began to peel from my thumb. Then today (Sunday) I noticed that polish was peeling from my other thumb. I was so upset because it's Christmas Day!! I usually don't get my nails done all the time so it's important and special to me to have them done nicely for the holiday season. Such a disappointment... read more

I really wanted to give them a good review because they are in the neighborhood and I believe in small business but the workers are unprofessional. I came today with my daughter for a pedicure and a mini manicure for my girl. I asked the lady for a iPhone charge, she said " no " and talked in Spanish to her friend " don't give it to her " . I was so upset and I asked another lady who was taking care of my girl. She accepted with a smile. At the time of paying I didn't have any change for tips so I asked the lady again to charge $15 on my card for tips. She said okay and came back with out changes. I asked her where was the cash. She told ne we share tips and again in Spanish telling to her friend I wanted to do cash back. I don't understand why they think people don't understand or speak Spanish. I confronted her and tell her she was disrespectful, she pretended to don't speak English . Will never go again read more

First off, this place is clean and does okay job on nails. What is not acceptable is the service. My first time there was to get a mani+pedi. The work was average, they didn't mess up anything but also didn't impress with the price tag. The second time I was there, the lady I talked to was just so plain rude that I had to walk away because of her attitude. The story: I walked into the salon, no one was at the front desk and no one else acknowledged me. I was awkwardly standing there for like 30 seconds. One lady who was working looked at me, stared at me head to toe for 2 seconds, and went back to her work. So I went up to her and asked her how long the wait would be, she responded without even looking at me. The wait was longer than anticipated so I told her I would come back at another time. She did not even respond after that and just totally ignored me! I thought that was rude and turned around. As I was walking towards the door, this lady started GIGGLING with her coworkers speaking in a foreign language! I am not a very picky person when it comes to manicures. Almost every place I have been to does satisfactory job on my nails. They usually follow the standard protocol and the end result is similar. What I will not take from a salon is bad service. You want me to pay to take your attitude? No way. This place deserves 3.5 stars on it's manicures. Its questionable service and professionalism bring it down to 2 stars. I've been here several times over the last 3 years. When they first opened I liked their work. And They are literally 2 minutes from where I work so I always go back because it's convenient. However, the last 3 or 4 times I've gotten a gel manicure there it has looked very sloppy, uneven and dull and starts to chip within days. And I always feel rushed. I think part of the issue with dullness and longevity of wear had to do with the fact that they clearly don't allow the gel to cure under the UV light long enough to set. This has happened now several times so it wasn't just an "off" day. It's not inexpensive either so it's really inexcusable. I'm disappointed as it's very clean and so close by. read more

Maria did a nice job with my Mani & Pedi so I gave her a $5 tip which she never thanked me for. I decided I needed a 10 minute neck/back massage so I requested it. Maria unhappy with her $5 tip proceeds to tell her friend in Spanish that this Black girl only gave her $5. She threw the $5 in her draw, slammed her draw, sucked her teeth and was rough with my hands as she polished them. I assumed one of the Asian ladies was going to do my massage but unfortunately it was ungrateful Maria. She pulled my hair up into a bun so hard that she almost pulled off my wig. She was very aggressive and harsh with my massage so I had to ask her to stop. One of the Asian ladies walked by, stopped behind me while both her and Maria giggled at my wig that was exposing my braids thanks to unkind Maria. I felt embarrassed and beat up by mean ole Maria who wrongly assumed I don't understand Spanish. read more

They are INCREDIBLY overpriced and I got a gel manicure that started chipping within 2 hours of leaving the salon. Not to mention that the woman doing my nails was nasty and unpleasant. Will never be returning to this nail salon and definitely would not recommend. read more

Pricey but really clean and great place... I am picky as you can get with nails! I will definitely go back. I hate it when nail salons have all the workers talking to each other in their native language because I feel like they are talking about me... I was attacked in front of my mother by store owner after bring held hostage in salon which prevented me from picking up my infant. The customer service was horrible ive been there a total of 3 times. My second visit there the owner got into an altercation with a customer over her eyebrows and handled the situation unprofessionally. My last visit here i was curious about the Monday-Wednesday special they had in the window I then asked the lady that was doing my toes about the special that was in the window she wasn't sure what I was asking so she turned around and asked the owner the owner then asked me what was my question and I repeated it to her she then proceeded to put her head down and continue doing a customer's nails in which i am related to. The lady that was sitting next to me getting her toes done then answered my question later on when I proceeded to get my nails done by the same lady she had told me that the price for the style that I want it with $45 I had explained to her that I had just come there last week and Did my nails in color number 16 pearl matte by technician name Rose wasn't present at the time of the incident and I paid $30 she then proceeds to say to me that it is impossible for me to have paid $30 for my nails and that design style when she is the owner and she makes the places we then went back-and-forth and she proceeded to say to me it's either you can pay for your nails Which she hadn't even started yet or I can get up out of her chair so I proceeded to stand up and tell her that I wasn't going to pay for my nails after that she then try to force me to pay her and get out of a shop overall she's a very unprofessional lady, this is a very unprofessional shop , and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
