10.4.25: Flew down to visit a friend who lives in Huntington Beach and while visiting, her daughter flew over to visit too. They wanted to get pedis and I went along for the ride. My friend made appointments so when we walked in, we didn't have to wait. We were greeted and told to start looking and pick out a nail polish color. Once I choose my color, I was ushered to a pedi station with a massage chair. I was offered tea or coffee and chose hot tea, which was a nice gesture. I went with the Royal pedicure, almost costing 60 bucks and with a generous tip of $20. The pedicure included: Callus treatment, Exfoliating massage with sea salt and fresh orange, Hydrating mask wrap with hot towel, Paraffin hot wax, 20 min. Massage with hot oil, Hot stone, and Hot towel wrap. Tbh, I don't recall the hot stone being done. Overall, the nail tech was thorough and gentle and did a great job. Imo, it's a bit overpriced but it's California so I expected that lol. It was pretty busy and stayed steady the entire time we were there. Salon was pretty big and had many stations and many nail colors to choose from. There were also a few TVs. My favorite part was getting lost in the massage chair and being pampered for a bit.

It was my first time here and I loved this nail spot! The chairs are comfy, the technicians are very nice and friendly, and my nails turned out so cute! Only $45 for a gel pedicure! Call ahead to make sure they have availability because they can get busy and you'll have to be patient and wait if you are a walk-in. I also want to say that it disturbs me to see so many customers (mostly/usually older women) be so rude to their nail techs! Customers, please be respectful towards your nail techs as they spend countless hours grooming you. The least you can do is be kind. Thank you Nails Boutique & Spa for my cute nails!

I have been a customer of Mai at Nails Boutique for over 20 years. Today was my 2nd time getting the Gel Builder and I absolutely love it! My nails are very thin and this product is very hard and works well for me. I like how they are using new products and suggesting which is best for my nails. Try it, you'll like it

Vicky does a great job every time. I get lots of compliments on my nails. She has gentle hands and never leaves a mess. My nails don't chip or break between visits. They have lots of ladies, so they usually can get to you right away, but I usually make an appointment. I always leave happy.

First time here, did a great job. Got to the front and paid my service. Then the lady at the front desk asked do you have Zelle or Venmo, I questioned for what she replied tip. Tip is a voluntary service upon your own request. They definitely make it most uncomfortable forcing a tip. read more

I am not sure how long I have been a patron of Nails Boutique & Spa. If I had to guess, I would say 10+ years. I have never received services that I was not thrilled with. My all stars are Tina, Tina's daughter, and sweet Holly. When any one of them is away, I hold my breath till they get back. I can NOT say enough .... disappointed. Workers were rude, they cut me at least 3 times, prices are extremely expensive for super short nails, gave me a attitude, they didn't pick the right color and I even told them it wasn't the color I wanted. Overall a bad vibe and wasn't given any respect. read more

I came on a Saturday to get gel manicure/Pedicure for myself & regular mani pedi for my daughter. I called ahead so they knew we were coming. Long story short all of my daughters nails popped off the night we got home. Yes, regular nail polish "POPPED OFF". Check pictures for details. I called & we wnt back the next day to get it fixed. She rushed & painted the missing nails as we sat by the seating area. It was the nail tech that has blonde hair/blond streaks. Guess what...Monday morning nail polish popped off again. Either thebpolish is cheap or they did a horrible job of prepping my baby girls nails. read more

I've had my nails done before but my regular spot was booked. Checked around for a new spot near home and came across this spot. Came in waited a bit. Got someone assigned to me. The tech started her work. Chose the color and design I wanted. The regular stuff. I had to remind my tech to file all my nails not just 8 of my fingers. She missed two. The cuticles weren't properly cleaned. Had to point those out for her to finish. Then on some of my fingers she went a little deep causing minor bleeding. Never happened before. When I finished I wasn't that impressed with the work, but for the price I guess it is what it is. I personally wouldn't come back. I'd just keep going to my usual spot. read more

Established in 1997.

We started as a small salon with just a few tables and chairs in a small suite. Now we have 15 spa chairs, 2 waxing rooms for waxing and facials, and a lot of return customers! We appreciate all of their loyalty! We were also featured in OC Weekly Magazine.

Meet the Business Owner: Mai L.

Mai started in the nails industry since 1989 Mai has been taking care of her repeat clients for over 25 years since she opened the Nails Boutique! She makes it her mission to provide the best customer service to all of her clients!

And I was considering getting my eyelashes done for the first time... the ladies convinced me it was worth it and so I got it done with Aysha (spelling?) and she was pleasant and we carried on great conversation. I'm never paying cheap for luxury services again. I decided to check this place out because all of…read morethe reviews on Yelp seem nice, and plus it's really close by. However, they totally messed up my lashes. Throughout the service I noticed my lash tech was multitasking and busy. So she left half way and was texting people while my eyes were closed. I didn't get a lash bath or proper sanitation done. Still, they turned out looking good for those first couple of hours. I actually really loved how they looked. The very same night they did my lashes, I woke up around 1am feeling like I had a contact lens stuck. I had a massive red spot on the whites of my eyes. It's a chemical burn or a subconjunctival hemorrhage. Literally looked so scary and the next day my eyes had discharge and were so dry. I communicated this with their team and everything seemed cordial at first. They offered removal and full refund. They had me come in at 7pm, and waited until they finished with another client while I was in the lobby waiting on my phone. We started around 7:15pm. Another lash tech did my removal WITH NO LASH BATH. This other lash tech basically tried to gaslight me. She said it was completely normal for this to happen. She also said it was probably due to me "touching my eyes" so the redness was normal. And then she also said it could be that my lashes are straight and that's why it itched. I've gotten lashes before. I've done volume, natural, hybrid, etc. Never a problem. Be so for real.. my eyes were watering and twitching like crazy. The other lash tech let me know that she "has a bunch of friends who are nurses and this is normal." Ok well, guess what? I'm literally in nursing school. I even went to the ER earlier that day and I was prescribed lubricant eyedrops. You caused me a chemical burn with your cheap glue and lack of sanitation! They kept pulsating so much she had to hold down my eyelids with the gel remover. At the end, she couldn't even get half of the lashes off and USED A MAKEUP WIPE. After peeling off the pads, she goes to literally pluck my natural lashes out. At the end of the removal I had to go into the bathroom and wash off my eyes. Massive flakes of hard glue still on my lashes that they pulled and cut out. I got my refund, but now my eyes are still messed up and half of my lashes are gone. Pay cheap and expect cheap service and them to gaslight you!

Unprofessional & Impolite !!!! During my last visit, I was walked to the front counter by the manicurist, I heard the Asian guy at the front counter spoke in a foreign language but in a very rude and disrespectful voice to the worker. He was yelling at his worker. Obviously, I didn't understand what was said but he sounded so angry And impolite. A lot of the nice ladies that work here don't speak English and doesn't understand the Labor Laws that are there to protect them against abusive business owner. I know Asian business owners treat their workers like properties instead of value assets to their business, this Asian guy need to take a course on how to treat people with respect. I felt offended by his unprofessionalism and found it to be IMPOLITE. I am not coming back to this place. read more

Dear all current and potential clients, I want to share a very rude experience with the front desk guy who answers the phone. I was referred by a friend who goes here and she recommended this place because the nail technicians here are very nice and does beautiful nails. When I called to make an appointment, I spoke to a VERY RUDE guy at the front desk. His tone of voice tells me that he does not need the business. I am asking all customers to not support this business and encourage everyone to Yelp your experience at this place. As consumers we deserve better treatment from busineses. If this place wasn't relatively far from me, I would be here all the time! The pedicures are AWESOME and I go here mainly for the GEL MANICURES. I work with water a lot, so it's great every time I get a gel mani; they don't chip for two weeks and stay shiny all the time (something you don't get from regular manicures!). Everything is always spotless and clean here, and service is great. There are TVs and magazines in case you get bored and music playing too! Quick Tip: If you're going in on the weekend, give them a call! They get booked up pretty fast, since this salon is so popular. I Have been to every nail salon in town. I am not picky, not a complainer, never go back to get something fixed I am everyone's fav. client. So if I don't like a place I just don't go back. I have been coming back to this shop for a while now:) Yes the speak in Vietnamese and answer their cell phones once in a while.. but that is everywhere... if you don't like that go to a hair salon where they have white ladies doing your nails for $60 full set and $30 fill. You get what you pay for. I Really like the end result. I have always been happy with how my nails look leaving there. I love the Gel polish... It is great and last weeks! read more

He sat me down and started a soak-off, and while that was finishing, what I assume is a "regular" walked in around 11:13am and asked, "should I come back later?" since there were already about 6 people being serviced. He told her no, to sit at another table, and then got up and left me mid-service to go help her. Mind you, I only had gel on, so it's a soak-off with acetone and then drill off the rest. He started servicing her and never came back to me or communicated anything, he just walked away. Around 11:18, another lady noticed that the man just left me mid service and moved me to a pedicure chair and started my pedicure. After a while, the man finally came back to continue on my nails. I politely asked him to remove the aluminum foil, and he said he would finish doing my nails, but at that point I declined service based on how everything was handled. The other lady told me he "had an appointment," but I don't believe that was the case because she had just walked in and asked if she should come back later, not that she was there for a scheduled appointment. Overall, it was just handled very poorly. I come here when I'm in the area, and my partner is a regular customer, but after this experience, we both won't be coming back. Also, they charge to use your debit card.
