Remembering this location, I made an appointment online with Mariam for Saturday at 11am. I arrived 10 minutes early, and she was ready for me. I warned her in advanced that I'm terrified of the drill and nail file, so I would most likely flinch or make a funny face when it is in use. Unfortunately, my fear is so much worse than I thought because I was uncontrollably squirming/ tensing up, and truly just being a nightmare client. Mariam was SO EXTREMELY patient, kind, and gentle with me. She kept checking in to make sure I was okay, and would announce when the scary part was done. I was so embarrassed by my behavior, but she was very sweet. In addition to her kindness, she was fast. I got a Russian manicure with fast gel (no removal) for $85 (and a $2.47 service fee). The whole process took 45 minutes. The color came out exactly how I wanted it to, and I was very please with how uniform the shape of the nails were. FYI: There are two Beauty By Lid locations.
