My primary complaint around this nail salon is the blatant lack of customer service. After looking at other Yelp reviews, it seems that customer service has been an ongoing issue at this establishment. I felt very uncomfortable & wish I had left when the situation below occurred: Unfortunately my nail experience was overshadowed by the customer service experience. I came in for a gel manicure and asked to opt for the gel removal via a nail file instead of a machine. I have been getting gel nail manicures for over 10 years and am well aware of my options for removal. Immediately I received backlash from the tech who then asked another tech to take over. The first technician called me "complicated" in front of me, and they continued to discuss me while I sat there, making me feel unwelcome. After speaking to my regular nail technicians, they stated many salons will opt for machine remove because it is faster, which makes sense after this situation. The new technician was very kind and asked if everything was okay. She explained that the previous technician found my request unusual because she had never been asked to remove gels this way, therefore referring to me as a complicated customer. She clearly felt guilty and I appreciate her kindness but Unfortunately, I will not be returning. read more

This place is amazing! My husband and I came in as walk in's and they immediately took care of us! Both of us got manicures and pedicures. I got a gel manicure. I've never been one to get my nails done. Rachel gave me the prettiest manicure. A sparkly pink french tip. Simple and clean. She was so sweet and genuine. Everyone was so sweet we definitely be coming back! I will be going back in 2 weeks to keep my nails up!! I can't wait for them to grow out! Thank you Rachel and everyone!!!! Giving 2 stars because they are super friendly. $95 without tip for a full set with gel polish and two nail designs. They were crooked, which seems to be the norm for every single salon. So I didn't really care about that... but they were so thin and brittle that they started to chip away as they grew out. Broke off two nails so easy. I've had nails done in the past that stayed on way longer than they should for a fraction of the price. Idk why we are paying so much for nails in general and then to have them barely last and look just ok. read more

I get my hair done right next door at MAAC studio and decided to try this little place out. They asked if I had an appointment, which I didn't, but they were able to accommodate me easily. I'm pretty loyal to my nail place back home in LA, but we all know the last minute trip prep (hair,nails, brows, etc) can really stress a girl out so convenience it was today and i'm so happy I found this place. The place was very clean inside and the lady who did my nails did such a good job! I paid $42 for a gel manicure and was in-and-out in about 40 mins. The woman who did my nails was a pro and I loved that she didn't file my nails so heavily. I never felt my nail bed get hot which can happen when a lot of places use their nail drill bits too hard. The one thing that made me not give 5 stars was that there was another woman hovering over my nail woman when she was doing my nails which was a little distracting for me. Other than that this place is pretty solid off-the-bat. We'll see how these nails hold up! read more

I went in there to get a gel x nails and pedicure. My experience they were busy and they were able to fit me right in. Everyone was really nice both who did my nails and pedicure, they did extremely great job however I didn't really get to relax because they did my nails while I was getting my pedicure so I couldn't really enjoy the massaging chair. read more

I was able to make an appointment here for the same day. The gentleman that did my nails was super friendly and made nice small talk. He listened and made recommendations for my nails. He understood what I wanted and asked someone else for the color. She came and told me she didn't have something like what I wanted, it seemed the color I wanted required more steps involved. We went with her advice on a color. I tend to take in pictures of what I want and it wasn't close. Overall it was just the color I left unhappy with, otherwise he did a great job. read more

I've been so happy with my nails whenever they are done at Legend! The owner, Rachel, is so committed to excellent customer service, and the staff are really nice & do great work. I had Lucy do my gel manicure, and she was wonderful. She had such attention to detail and really made sure it was done well. The last time I got a get manicure there they lasted FIVE WEEKS without lifting or chipping at all! Plus, it's a clean, open, and comfortable spot. This is my go-to place read more

I've gone to too many nail salons trying to find a place and then I thankfully found legend nail spa!! Rachel and her staff are just so genuine and loving. Literally the sweetest humans on this earth. This place is a hidden gem, and I have not even one single complaint because they are that perfect. From my nails to the way they have taken care of me every time I come in as well as my mom. I always feel so special and listened to every time I go in. If I could I would put 1000000 stars for my rating, as they just don't compare to any nail salon I have been to. I love this place so much and everyone who works here just makes it even better. First time here and I will be going back :). I called for a same day appointment & Rachel was able to squeeze me in within the next hour. I received friendly greetings upon walking in. I got a pedicure with a gel French. Tu (I apologize for spelling) was so gentle and precise with my toes. She really took her time and I appreciate every minute of it. The salon itself was clean and spacious. They mopped after every client! That's a first. I can't wait to come back to my new go to. read more

I am not a regular customer here but l visit occasionally when my l need a quick service. The decor like most salons of the 90s needs updating and decluttering this salon falls in that category. Also like most facilities in this category the staff is extremely warm and friendly. I only visit occasionally and the owner remembers my name! Yes I recommend them. I called to make an appointment the day before. Everything was very fast and efficient. I got an almost $50 pedicure which included the callus remover. There was a massage that was heavenly. They did a really great job overall. My husband was pleased and said it was worth every penny. lol read more

Super friendly Nail spa! First impressions are everything. I called to see if they could take me and my bf the same day for pedicures, and the young lady who answered the phone was very polite, and professional! They were able to accommodate us with our requested time. I wanna say her name was Chung, scrubbed my feet like no other. I didn't see pedicure packages, such as spa pedicure with extra amenities, but I got my gel pedicure and additional callous treatment. My bf got a plan pedicure and callous treatment as well. I have been getting my manicure gels and pedicure gels here for about 2yrs! I haven't had any problems with the products they use and my nails hold up amazingly. Rachel the owner is so talented with her nail art, it's amazing. She is up to date on all the new trends and I love that. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Don't waste your time or money!! This nail spa is terrible, there quality is really cheap "my polish chipped off the day after I got my nails done" the technician's do very sloppy work and treat you like you're not there, very rude. What is really a joke is there prices are 20% higher than market. read more

After months of looking for a nail salon, I can happily say this is my go to thanks to Rachel! She absolutely kills it every time , the whole staff is super friendly and funny. I finally found my new nail home! I recently moved to SR. I've tried a few others in the area, but they just didn't feel very welcoming. Legend is small, but that makes it more personable! I like being remembered, since I will be there every 2 weeks from here on out. I'm loyal like that :) It is clean! Major priority! They always have a movie playing, usually a good Rom-Com. Which I love. Helps the time pass. And another huge factor is the staff- everyone is very nice! And they're all easy to talk to. Plus Rachel (the owner) seems like someone I'd hit happy hour with Lol While I originally came to Legend for Rachel and her nail art, she already has so many clients that she is not taking new ones. And that is completely understandable! Shame on the people for not understanding that there are only so many hours in a day, and she must keep her existing clients a priority. I respect that about her. On my last visit, she took the time between her appts to help paint my nail design... She didn't have to do that, so I appreciate it. You need more than good technique to keep customers!! Unfortunately, Rachel's personality does not compliment her nail skill. She will do your nails quickly and perfectly. She's the best I've ever had in Santa Clarita. She can quickly do any design you want and shape well. I think she knows she is the best in the area, which I think contributes to her attitude. She has a demeanor like " you need me, I don't need you". She is not for the customer that wants to KEEP their nails done, because she's always booked out 3.5 weeks out! She has NO flexibility in her schedule, and does not make room for repeat clients. First come, first serve. I asked her recently ( after being a customer for several months), how come she doesn't make room for her steady clients. I think that irritated her, because when I checked in for availability via text, she TOTALLY ignored me. I gave her grace, just assuming she was busy. Days past, still NOTHING. She usually does respond. So then I replied " we are good, don't worry about it". STILL nothing. So I called the shop just to make sure she was still alive, YES. She answered the phone! So she was ignoring me. I will NEVER chase any service, I don't care who they are. What do I look like chasing someone down to give them my money, and they have an attitude??! Ha! Never. Something made me uncomfortable the last time I was there. She always has a movie on, in the shop. Always a white centered romantic comedy. Okay, fine. Unfortunately, so many people are warped into feeling like white should be the default ( small/ ignorant). I noticed this day, one movie ended, and a black ( Family oriented movie) came on in the cue, she could not turn the TV fast enough!! I don't want to pay my green money to a place that feels my black face is unpleasant for customers to watch! I value being treated well over anything. On to better treatment. read more

Haven't been here in a little while but service is always TOP NOTCH. I schedule appts for myself and a friend. YES SCHEDULE APPTS AHEAD OF TIME, because they are POPULAR. I usually never have a problem with this because I schedule appts about 2 months out for my friend and I. There were comments earlier about being upset that the shop was too busy and couldn't fit themselves in, well...let me tell you, you can't put a price on good service and work. Customers can't be angry at a restaurant if they can't get reservation, therefore they can't be upset for not getting a reservation at the shop when the demand is just that high. To the shop, thank you for always helping us with the best service and great work. Truly the best in town. 10/10 recommend read more

4.5 STARS! I had an almost perfect experience! Happy, friendly service and a great technician. I would love to say, "I'd go back" since it was so close and convenient to my home, not crowded, and they were efficient and on time! My ONLY COMPLAINT is, I didn't appreciate what they had showing on the TV! It was inappropriate for general public nor did it create a setting of calm and relaxing atmosphere. As I was walking out, a mother and young boy came in. I hope the salon noticed and changed the programming! The sex scenes and edgy language, Rated R shows should be kept out of the salon. I can't recommend this place enough!!! Not only is it a salon that is clean, diligent, and pays attention to detail BUT a salon full of individuals that truly care. The nail techs here, Rachel in particular, make it a priority that you feel comfortable and happy while there. I always feel extremely welcome and relaxed when coming in for a service. I can confidently and honestly say I have not left once unsatisfied with the work performed. I am extremely grateful for finding this salon and Rachel. Remembering this location, I made an appointment online with Mariam for Saturday at 11am. I arrived 10 minutes early, and she was ready for me. I warned her in advanced that I'm terrified of the drill and nail file, so I would most likely flinch or make a funny face when it is in use. Unfortunately, my fear is so much worse than I thought because I was uncontrollably squirming/ tensing up, and truly just being a nightmare client. Mariam was SO EXTREMELY patient, kind, and gentle with me. She kept checking in to make sure I was okay, and would announce when the scary part was done. I was so embarrassed by my behavior, but she was very sweet. In addition to her kindness, she was fast. I got a Russian manicure with fast gel (no removal) for $85 (and a $2.47 service fee). The whole process took 45 minutes. The color came out exactly how I wanted it to, and I was very please with how uniform the shape of the nails were. FYI: There are two Beauty By Lid locations. One is for hair, eyebrows, facials, etc, while the other one is the nail salon. The nail salon location has a smaller and tighter parking lot.

Unfortunately, the exact same thing happened again that same weekend. When I asked for a refund after two failed sets, they refused and just kept telling me to try a different technician. I understand mistakes happen, but after two sets that didn't last, I expected better quality and better customer service. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this salon. Be careful before spending your money here.

I went to Legend Nail Spa for pedicure, manicure and nail art. I feel so relaxed after my has done. I will so great and wonderful. Some people unable to give you good massage. At some salon i feel so pain when getting a pedicure and manicure, staff there was rough with cuticle trimming and nail cutting. My experience at Legend Nail Spa was beyond my expectation and wonderful. Thank you so much people for providing such a nice services. Staff is very friendly,polite and cooperative. So again you are a straight up liar She told me that only she Rachel could nails in a salon full if people and said she had no appointments until June. Tim and Sandy and the gals are terrific. I've been going for such a long time now. Switched after those more expensive places in town. It's fair and friendly and clean. Don't listen to the other reviewer. I got there on word of mouth from friends and guess what? Wait about ten seconds and there's hot water...just like in my house :-) I've done regular mani/pedi and acrylics - the acrylics have always lifted on me but with Tim doing them I can go three weeks! read more

I started going to Legend two years ago and now I'm a regular customer. I get a manicure and pedicure and I'm always very pleased with the work. The staff is always kind and courteous and they know what they're doing. I feel relaxed and rested after each visit and my nails are in great shape. I highly recommend this business. The owners and their employees consistently offer excellent and kind service and the facility is clean and comfortable with plenty of room to move and to relax. This is always my go-to place when I am in need of a manicure or pedicure. I always get compliments on my nails every time I get my acrylic done!
