Had they asked me, I would've said no. I did not realize it was being cut until I felt them cutting completely down my nail on my big toe, so it was already done. The nail was not ingrown, just curved slightly as I've had it my entire life and has never bothered me. Now I'm worried about it growing back incorrectly and causing me pain. It's been 3 days and I still feel pain from this non-consensual removal. I pray I don't get an infection or have to deal with an actual ingrown toenail from this. I would suggest letting them know beforehand if you are getting a pedicure and do not want this done. The technician of the woman next to me asked her if she wanted hers removed. I wish I had been granted that same courtesy.
