I cant put on lashes to save my life so this is a major win. The line for my lashes is so straight even I couldnt believe it. I came home to shower (careful with my new lashes) and not a single lash has fallen off my line. Very impressed. Also got a gel manicure, he took his time, extremely friendly (both of them) and my nails look so clean and cute. 10/10 would recommend.

I just love this place!!!! I have been coming to Tony for such a long time. He and his wife are the best! I no longer have to decide what I am going to get done because they know me so well that they do whatever they like, and I trust them completely. I love the way they work, very professional but also very friendly. I always bring my daughters, mother and most of my family from Bakersfield come to Tony when they come in to town. My daughter actually loves to come because everyone here call her their best friend. I have nothing but great things to say about this Nail Salon! I wanted to bring my Husband and I to get our feet and hands probably clean. It was my Husbands first time so I was worried his first time experience was going to be horrible! But everyone there yesterday was wonderful! I used to love coming to this nail salon. However, not so much anymore. I wish I could give 0 stars because I would. and I normally don't say that about many places. So, here's the thing. I have been waiting an hour PAST my appointment time anymore. (I always make sure I make appointments) they have taken people in front of me who have later appointments while I have been sitting, and waiting. (really unprofessional) also they stopped my mom to finish a lady, and when she was done made her wait longer so one of the men can smoke. overall we were there for over 2 hours. most of it was sitting and waiting. they don't always do the design you want. or use a color they think is better instead of what you really want. i don't know if it's worth coming to this nail salon anymore. read more

Stop by to get pedicure waiting about 25mins one of the nice man take me to soak my feet waiting for a nail tech here she come DeeDee I think is her name ?with dirty towel her tools is not properly clean she just clean with soap still wets she just done working on other client I can see dead skins on the towel I was going to do$35 pedicure when I see her clean tools I ask to do $20 no polish i ask her what is that she was mad I need a new towel she when off on me told me if I'm not happy just go (she is rude dirty I don't think she is certified) nail polishes are outdated I would not recommend anybody Board of costology need to check this place out. read more

To be honest I have to say that I probably will never come back here... I came to get my acrylics taken off and a gel manicure and now my nails are completely uneven the gel manicure does not go all the way to the sides and they look bumpy. Don't get me wrong I am not a professional by any means but I normally do my gel manicure by myself at home and it turns out way better than this place. read more

I do not recommend. The service was rude. It was dirty. There was no lights on! There was only 1 guy working and he went outside to sit on his phone and smoke while we just sat inside like the heck. No entertainment on at all. Very dull and boring and rude service. read more

First off I have been here before and it was horrible but thought I'd try again being they're the only place open with everything going on. I drove 30 minutes to get here, I walked in, John told me it would be an hour wait. I stay outside for an hour before going back in. I proceed to wait another 30 minutes before asking how long and I was told ANOTHER 30 minutes. I paid for a baby sitter to come get a pedicure just to have my time wasted. VERY DISRESPECTFUL OF PEOPLES TIME. I will never be returning. read more

if you want ugly uneven nails with horrible art this is your place. i have been here twice, the nails are always so uneven some long some short and some even glued on cricked. after the second time this happening i am definitely never going back. their english is better than most places, but as far as work and product they are no good. paid $30 for nails that didnt even last a full week without chipping (and i am not rough on my nails at all) read more

A week before Mother's Day, Starr offered me an eyebrows wax while getting my nails done. She ripped and burned my skin. I had to go see dermatologist near by. Doctor told me that he has a few complained of Starr. She is waxing and providing eyelash extensions illegally. She's just a manicurist. I've learned my lesson read more

While my pedicure was happening, my mom was getting own pedi a few seats down. I was visiting and we thought a daughter-mother nail day would be fun. Not at this place though we would soon learn. When the nail woman came over, I asked for a thin, gel-only acrylic set (no powder) which I do at my regular salon based on their suggestion to give my nails a break and bc they look more natural. That seemed to annoy the woman and she walked off after she started filing my nails, with no explanation and went to help someone else. After a 15-minute wait with no word from anyone, a second tech came over and made me re-explain everything from scratch, visibly irritated the whole time. Then she asked what shape and I said btwn coffin and square. Annoyed again she asked if I had a pic so I Googled nail shapes and showed her a pic of coffin and square and said btwn that please. She argued that my current nails were coffin. I said, OK, bc I was getting tired of explaining and feeling like I had to defend the shape I wanted. She seemed fine with that eventually & started my nails, but then said there was no one there who knew how to do gel with no powder & no one ever asks for that & it was a "special order." Then she walked off. A woman from the front came over to me and loudly, in front of other customers, said that no one could figure out what I wanted bc I wasn't happy with any nail shape. I was totally confused and embarrassed bc her voice was raised. By then my nails were filed with one acrylic tip glued on, but I was so uncomfortable with people staring at us over her raised voice, I said I would just go somewhere else. I'm visiting my mon again and we drove a little further to BB's Nails instead bc I will never go back to Lilah's. I can't say enough good things about BB Nails. They were gentle, patient, and kind, and they had no problem with a thin acrylic set and a coffin/square shape. And another woman in there mentioned her last place making her cry, and found out it was Lilah's! She said they were awful to her too. No idea why they are so unfriendly there, as if we all don't work hard for our $ & not only want to enjoy a nail day, but we also may have reasonable requests, and that should be OK. Lilah's was awful!

There aren't tons of nail salons in the area, and I think this salon is one of the better ones! The store doesn't LOOK the fanciest, but it IS very clean. There are tons and tons of colors you can choose from both regular and gel polishes. I've been here just recently a few times and I can see that there are only three hardworking employees, yet they can really get things done! Julie & Sam always do a great job on my hands & feet I don't keep my nails long, and I work a lot with my hands. I use gloves for the yard work & house work, the gel manicure holds up very well. As for my feet, I have bunions & used to hate showing my feet. Julie does a great cleaning and shaping of my nails, & the soak is so relaxing for my messed up feet. While my pedicure was happening, my mom was getting own pedi a few seats down. I was visiting and we thought a daughter-mother nail day would be fun. Not at this place though we would soon learn. When the nail woman came over, I asked for a thin, gel-only acrylic set (no powder) which I do at my regular salon based on their suggestion to give my nails a break and bc they look more natural. That seemed to annoy the woman and she walked off after she started filing my nails, with no explanation and went to help someone else. After a 15-minute wait with no word from anyone, a second tech came over and made me re-explain everything from scratch, visibly irritated the whole time. Then she asked what shape and I said btwn coffin and square. Annoyed again she asked if I had a pic so I Googled nail shapes and showed her a pic of coffin and square and said btwn that please. She argued that my current nails were coffin. I said, OK, bc I was getting tired of explaining and feeling like I had to defend the shape I wanted. She seemed fine with that eventually & started my nails, but then said there was no one there who knew how to do gel with no powder & no one ever asks for that & it was a "special order." Then she walked off. A woman from the front came over to me and loudly, in front of other customers, said that no one could figure out what I wanted bc I wasn't happy with any nail shape. I was totally confused and embarrassed bc her voice was raised. By then my nails were filed with one acrylic tip glued on, but I was so uncomfortable with people staring at us over her raised voice, I said I would just go somewhere else. I'm visiting my mon again and we drove a little further to BB's Nails instead bc I will never go back to Lilah's. I can't say enough good things about BB Nails. They were gentle, patient, and kind, and they had no problem with a thin acrylic set and a coffin/square shape. And another woman in there mentioned her last place making her cry, and found out it was Lilah's! She said they were awful to her too. No idea why they are so unfriendly there, as if we all don't work hard for our $ & not only want to enjoy a nail day, but we also may have reasonable requests, and that should be OK. After seeing their reaction, I felt uncomfortable speaking up for the rest of my appointment because I didn't want to seem like a bother. Throughout the service, they kept bringing up that different things would cost more. The cost was never the issue for me. I was willing to pay for the service I wanted. What made me uncomfortable was that it felt like they were more focused on the price than on listening to my concerns or making sure I was happy with the service. The man who worked on my nails was, in my opinion, unprofessional. I showed him an inspiration photo with soft, light pink flowers on the sides of the nails. Instead, he painted bright neon pink flowers that looked nothing like the reference photo. I had to ask him to make them lighter because I genuinely couldn't imagine leaving the salon with nails that looked like that. I understand that inspiration photos can't always be recreated exactly, but if he wasn't able to do that design, I wish he had simply told me. He could have explained that it wasn't something he was comfortable doing or asked another nail technician for help. One of the reasons I chose this salon was because I had seen very similar flower designs on their Instagram, so I believed it was something they were capable of doing. Every time I tried to say something, I felt like I was inconveniencing them. There were multiple times during my appointment where I honestly felt like crying because I could tell they didn't want to work with me. I'm an emotional person, but more than anything, I felt unwelcome and like I was being judged for simply asking for the service I came in for. I wasn't trying to be difficult--I just wanted my nails and toes to look the way I had asked. I believe good customer service means listening to your client, communicating honestly if a design isn't possible, and making them feel comfortable throughout the appointment.
