I know we can sometimes all go in wanting our hair to look like a picture we bring in. I brought in my own (sealed) colour, Sterling from Arctic Fox. I have used them for years. My previous stylist had stopped doing hair, so I came here and saw Ria. She said she had no problem using my colour. Cool! My hair was supposed to be sterling with purple tips. Ya no, that did not happen. I had maybe 3 streaks of purple, and that was it. All the pictures of my hair are shown below. Ya my face was put on the haircut I wanted to see if it looked ok. I got there at 2:15 and left after 7pm. My hair easily lifts to a 9 with 20 volume, and I have no clue why I was put through all of the crazy steps. Even when my hair has gone straight from bleach to colour, I have never had it feel so choppy and crunchy. Also, it is not even in the ballpark of what the haircut was supposed to look like. I called the owner, who was nice. She called Ria, who then called me and offered to fix it. There is no way on earth I would ever let this woman touch my hair again. Just a warning: think before you book.

She's professional, takes pride in her work, and really listens for what I'm looking to do with my hair. Sometimes it's hard for me to express what I want. She doesn't get frustrated with my indecisiveness, and instead helps me come up with ideas. One of the most impressive things I noticed right away is that she's confident and honest. I'd been doing my own color at home to be thrifty, but instead of her telling me how much better a salon color experience would look, she actually complimented my work, which was not something I expected at all. I was further surprised that she gave me product advice so as to avoid me causing damage. In fact, Victoria's always down for product discussions and always has GREAT ones on hand in her super cute studio. I love the location & ambiance there, which is private, and has easy parking for it being Downtown (been there 4x w/o struggling at all to find a space). Her services are varied and reasonably priced based on industry standards. I really cannot emphasize enough how picky I am about who I allow work with my hair, so to say I trust her with it completely is a big deal. In preps for an upcoming trip, I had her cut & do a color today that turned out simply gorgeous.
