On September 4th,2025 I made the choice to get a manicure and pedicure done at Nails Expertise. I was instantly greeted and informed to come toward the back while my water for my pedicure was prepared. When I sat down I selected the $29.00 option and informed the individual doing my pedi that I'd like French tip which would be an additional $5. No problem. I also decided to get a full set which costs $45.00 - TOTAL $79. As I sat back to relax, I inquired about whether or not wine was served while receiving a pedicure. What I did not expect was the humiliation and shame I would feel the moment the manager responded to my inquiry. I was told verbatim "you don't get wine for $29 pedicure...You get wine for $40 and up".. I immediately burst into tears and informed this insensitive, inconsiderate, money hungry individual that my grandmother had just passed and THIS was THE ONLY reason I was even getting my nails done at the time. She immediately apologized and informed me that she was joking. What a tactless & unprofessional thing to say to someone who chose YOUR establishment to patronize. I WILL NEVER step foot in this place again, & I am leaving this review days later after burying my grandmother to implore you all that desire to feel cared for while being pampered properly - this IS NOT the place! If I could give them negative 10 rating I would. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, do not go to this place , they have no idea what customer service means. They don't care if you set up an appointment in advance. My family and I (party of 3) scheduled an appt. They literally made us wait over an hour!!! We specifically asked if we could sit together, so she said wait another 30 min on top. Ultimately she got her way and had us sit separately and the water where we put our feet in was nasty, slimy, just plain disgusting!!!! Truthfully , the state of Texas cosmetology department should have their license suspended!!!! In addition, their supposedly over the top reviews are a lie!!!! This was the worst experience I have ever had a nail salon in my life. It was dirty, dead flies on the floor, the lady cut me badly while doing my pedicure. The lady doing my nails drilled way too hard and way to long. Nails look awful, each one different shape and bumpy. Terrible polish job and rude. Will never go back. Additionally the two ladies working talked to each they entire time in Vietnamese which is just straight up rude. read more

Today I went to this nail salon for a pedicure. Now I'm a dude that wears steel toed boots and works on my feet most of the day, so my feet hurt, crack and peel with regularity. So today I decided I'd stop in for a pedicure. I'll do this about once every 6 months or so. The ladies were nice, but the pedicure was below mediocre at best. The water was cool and I prefer warm to hot. The pedicure was less relaxing than I'm used to, and I found myself ready to be finished when I'm usually hoping it'll continue. I tipped $10 because they were kind but I wouldn't suggest spending $50 on a below average pedi! Suggestion: Turn off divorce court and Maury Povich ... I found that more irritating than the cruddy pedi! read more

There are a few things I look for in a Nail Salon 1.) professionalism 2.) cleanliness 3.) quality My experience with this nail salon almost missed the mark on all three categories. I walked in with no other customers around and was asked what I wanted done. I wanted a set I had on taken off and a new one out on because it was so poorly done. A guy soaked off my nails and passed me off to another lady who was on her Bluetooth almost the whole time. She buffed my nails really fast and so precariously it chewed up my cuticles and the skin around my nails. She then started putting acrylic on without asking me how I would like it done. I had to stop her and tell her to put on the tips first because I wanted them longer which was another fail because she kept peeling one of the tips off to reposition it. My nails are so screwed at this point and she's still on the phone. I told her not to hurry and that I wanted it done properly. Nothing, still on the phone. She put too much acrylic on that she had to file harder and with force. There was so much that it even spilled over to my cuticles which is a TERRIBLE thing. Not only will it cause lifting when the nail grows, but the acrylic binding to the skin irritates it and stunts the growth. There was a point she filed on the side on my nails that I could feel the friction under my nailbed. I am considering filing a complaint to the better business bureau but decided to write a review instead to warn my fellow helpers about their practice. I wanted to keep my nails as healthy as possible by entrusting a LICENSED PROFESSIONAL but she ended up not following protocol. She was so rough and treated my hands so poorly I have sworn this place off. And they weren't even that cheap. They were unprofessional. I felt that their rough treatment and improper handling of acrylic made the process unhygienic and their quality was horrendous. I uploaded a picture of my lavander tip set so you can see what it looks like right after she finished and I will upload another one to show what it looks like about a week later. --PS I am getting a bunch of yelp "compliments" saying I overreacted and that the work looked nice. All from account with no profile pic, 1 check in, and 1-2 reviews. Either these are some "passionate customers" defending the people who worked on my nails or people affiliated with the company. If you look at my photo you can see the chewed up SKIN all around my fingerS with globs of acrylic on them. My review is based on my experience and I think my photos truly communicated the painful experience I detailed above. read more

First off there are new owners.Secondly I asked for a specific person on over the phone made a appointment and the guy doesn't work there anymore but they could have told me that before I planned my whole day around getting a pedicure. Then after 45 mins of waiting, I sat at the chair with no hot water and the nail tech didn't speak English. The older lady got an attitude with me because I asked questions and because it was late I just got my toes painted. I waisted time on my off day. Also I had a babysitter because most places want allow kids in the shops because of Covid 19 and I was looking forward to getting a good pedicure after The Quarentine. So disappointed.. Went in for a full set. The lady asked if I wanted a pedicure too. I declined. She offered to do my full set for $50 which I thought was overpriced if I agreed to add the pedicure. I reluctantly agreed. By the end my pedicure was horrible and she charged me $115.00 in total and said she didn't say $50 for the manicure. I went ahead and paid. I came back 2 weeks later because I broke a nail I wanted to fix and wanted to make sure the color was matched. That's the only reason I came back. This lady put a curved nail on when all the other tips are straight! And my big toe is in pain and swole from the pedicure. I will never go back! read more

I went to this salon bc my regular salon was slammed with the holidays. This is my second time going. Both experiences were less than great. They filed my nails so short and narrow when I specifically told her to stop filing the sides multiple times. On top of that; my nails listed both times after 3-4 days and they were just as expensive as all other kingwood area nail salons; which are way nicer and decorated. Do not recommend! read more

You get great service and at a decent price. My first time was 4 weeks ago and she did such a wonderful job. I fell asleep in the chair. Water was nice and warm. There is a lil TV up on the wall to watch or play on your cell phone. I get a pedicure here when I'm nearby. The women are awesome. Quiet but awesome. They do everyone and all kinds of feet they say. I need my nails and I'm not from around here, so I chose this place randomly from Yelp. I told the guy I need a powder full and possible a toe nail change. I told him I wore the wrong pants for a full pedicure but if he could find a similar color for my toe nails. The short story, I still need my toe nails done. I went in for the first time on Saturday for a pink and white refill.....and will not be returning! I was out of there in 15 minutes-total. The woman who did my nails was very rough, grinding down till very hot and cut one of my cuticles.....did not finish off by buffing or the UV gel, but a clear top coat of polish....what??? My nails are not smooth on top and shiny and I had to smooth down rough corner edges on every nail. I will be going somewhere else thus week for a proper refill. .....don't waste your time or money here! read more

I used to like this place and haven't been here in a while. The guy who did my powder nails was rude and had a bad attitude. He was rushing me to pick my color and he even "helped" me pick the color. I wasn't really sure but by the end my nails looked like stripper nails. Maybe that's good for some people but clearly he isn't a fashion consultant. He really missed the mark and then charged me $45. After he said he wasn't going to charge me $5 more. It really ruined my night. I went home immediately to take the nails off myself. I will never go back to this rip off to be taken advantage of. You should make sure the customer is happy and let them pick their color/what they want without rushing them. Rude a**. I also got my 6 year old daughters nails done. The lady asked if I wanted a design I said sure. She charged me $12 for a tiny floral design she did on her big toes and two little white marks she left on the one other toes. I'm amazed at how quickly they were to rip me off. My pedicure cost $25 and was supposed to come with a massage. I mentioned this at checkout and she said I gave you a 5 minute massage. The other pedicure didn't come with that and cost $20. So apparently it's okay to charge $1 a minute for a massage that was more like 1 minute. Smh. Forget that. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. The main lady, is very good at nail refills and if I catch her available, I am in and out in about 30 minutes. However, she talks on the phone, gets up in the middle of your appt. and goes to check someone out at the counter, is constantly talking in Vietnamese to the employees. The other ladies that do pedicures, are very sweet and do a good job but do not speak English. My complaint falls with the GUY that works there - not sure of his name. He doesn't speak, he sits down and starts grinding on your nails. When he is done, he doesn't say thank you or anything, just jumps out of the chair and goes over to an empty station and gets on his phone or goes to the back room. Also, he will use the grinder on your nail bed until it reaches near the nerves and the grinder gets too hot. Very painful. I have been to worse and I have been to much better. But for Kingwood - it is average not for the work done, but for lack of personality. read more
