I've come here a couple of times and I can't remember if I've left a review or not. But I love this place! I took my sister here a twice and both times she loved the results she got. The second time her technician, Yee, took great care to make sure the shape was perfect, and he was gentle and very careful and cautious with a wound she had around one of her cuticles. He answered all of her questions professionally and if there was anything wrong with her nails or if there was something she didn't like, he quickly fixed the issue with no complaint. I wish I had been able to tip him more. Next time I'll make sure he gets double! My sister says she's going to request him every time we go! We had to match her nails to a pair of heels she was wearing to an event, and Doug (I think that's how he spells it) and a couple of other technicians helped her find a shade that matched perfectly. There was a little bit of a wait since three ladies had appointments before us, so we walked down to Sonic to eat and came back hot and sweating and gross, and they offered us cold water and let us use the small fans to cool off faster. As far as I know, Nails La La is the only place that has done something like that for us, and I've been to quite a few salons. Over all, I have never been disappointed with this place. Everyone working there is super friendly and it feels like having conversations with friends. As long as I'm living in Tallahassee, Nails La La is my go to salon! read more

My nails have been on for two weeks, so that is good, but after leaving the salon I noticed that the acrylic job was messy. There was gel polish and acrylic snags around my cuticle, nail bed, and under my nail that I had to file and scrape off myself. I paid $70 (with tip) for a full set with gel and shaping, so I was hoping for more of a manicure. They didn't push back my nail beds or trim my cuticles or do any of the normal manicure procedures. They also did not shape my natural nail before glueing on the plastic one. While the environment was fun and interesting. I feel like I did not get my money's worth and will likely be looking for a new salon. read more

I have been there a few times now and every time has been pretty good. But this time was terrible she rushed and was running around. at one point she got up in the middle of doing my nails and went and did another girls nails. my pointer finger on both hands look terrible and my left thumb is already lifting. This has been my go to nail place for years and I must say, it has really lost its charm. Every time I go, whether I have an appointment or not, I get passed around like a hot potato. They make me move stations so that a different technician does different steps of an acrylic fill. I find that rude and unprofessional, like my experience doesn't matter to them. Especially when it comes to tipping. Who am I even tipping you know? The technicians always seem frazzled and unorganized which results in them not always having the most pleasant of tones and rushing through my fills. Then there's the young male technician who talks to clients about his drunken adventures that involved being drugged. We do not want to hear that!! This is not a frat house! Overall, the customer service has really gone down hill and I am quite sad because as I said, this was my go to place and I recommended it to everyone. Unfortunately I will not be returning nor will I recommend them to anyone again. Edit* just read another review from a woman who also experienced the young man talking about his drunken adventures. The manager told her she would run an ethics class or whatever but unfortunately that was before my experience with him so whatever ethics class was had, wasn't taken too seriously. read more

My daughter had tips put on and polish with decoration. normally it takes about 2 hours she was completed within 1 hour. Tips put on crooked and too short, nail polish all over her fingers, and decorative design was not what she wanted. When she said something about her nails being crooked the woman took them off and put them back on the same exact way. She left so upset. $89 it cost. I went to speak to a manager they told me you can speak to me. So I did and she did nothing and told me No refunds. This is not posted anywhere. when I spoke to the gentleman about speaking to a manager he said she lives out of state and the assistant manager was at a party. As a loyal customer of La La for the past four years, this review sucks to write. But the last few appointments I've had have been inexcusably bad and I can't help but feel that their standards of quality are slipping. I will not be going back, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. The last two pedicures left polish all over my toes and cuticles, and the polish was globbed on, runny and uneven. I asked a different nail tech to redo them each time. The first pedicure was done by a woman the other employees call Ma - she obviously doesn't care about the work, and she doesn't speak a single word of English so it's difficult to communicate with her about what you want. Ma in particular has done an unsatisfactory job on my nails and my friends' nails multiple times. The second and most recent pedicure was done by a tech who made inappropriate jokes the entire time (including jokes about suicide) and he made no secret about rushing through my pedicure to attend to his other customers, even though I had made an appointment the day before. When I told him he needed to fix some things, (again, globbed on paint and an overall sloppy polish job - he only did one coat on all toes except my big toe), he sent another tech to redo it while he worked on someone's full set. The tech who redid his pedicure did a fine job with the paint, but used a French top coat to finish it off - my pink nails turned splotchy purple. The last gel manicure I had was awful as well. The nail tech filed my nails so short it was painful, and didn't touch my cuticles at all. She did a sloppy polish job, and sealed the color and top coat under my finger nails. around my cuticles and on my fingertips. I felt like I had huge clumps of dirt under my nails for days after, and the polish sealed to my skin was actually painful to pick off. The polish was a slate gray color, and after three days it turned to a light sage (more like booger colored) green. Again, problems with the top coat. Will not be recommending Nails La La to anyone in the future, and will not be returning. If you do decide to go, try to schedule an appointment during sorority recruitment, before spring break or around the holidays. They have a huge boom of business during those times, and it's the only time they really seem to care about the quality of their work. read more

The people are absolutely nice and the place is nice. There are a few things that I didn't like about the place. The massage chairs definitely need a upgrade. There's foam and everything sticking out of them. You can tell that they are old and out of date. Another thing is the polish. I got acrylic gels done there like 3 weeks ago and they came out great and nice and thin. However when I came in 2 weeks later for a fill, the polish they used was first: not the color I wanted, and second: dry or old so it took the lady a couple of tries to get the coats to look right. They added so many coats that my nails were so thick by the end. I would've asked for them to redo them but I was already late to work. And for this they charged $40. This nail saloon is in such a quaint looking house.. inside is very warm and the nail techs are very friendly.. when I went in I was greeted by Randy, who was very personable and helped me match my nail color that I had gotten done elsewhere perfectly so that I could get it on my toes as well! I work in the dental field and I wash my hands constantly, so usually a gel mani lasts me about a week, tops. Loved this place. I was traveling and got an appointment right away. Everyone there was very warm and friendly. I got the gel nail polish on my hands and toes. It was my first time trying gel and it is worth the money. Wish I lived nearby so I could go there regularly. Great nail salon! I was visiting from out of town and stopped to get a pedicure after work. There was no one there on a Tuesday evening, but the staff were still very attentive. A young man did my pedicure precisely and excellently. He was very conversational and made me feel comfortable. He also did one of the best pedicures I have ever had.
