My nail tech never spoke to me. Didn't even say hello. She just sat down did my nails and avoided even looking at me. She would tap me to wash my hands tap me to soak my hands in the bowl. It was absolutely awkward. Not even a smile. Aside from that I got a gel manicure in a matter of 8 days the gel manicure peeled off in one solid piece. All 10! Obviously this is improper preparation. I was so uncomfortable and now annoyed with the manicure coming off so fast. $50!!! I rarely leave negative reviews but this place is in desperate need of basic customer service and proper application of gel nails. read more

Some of the nail techs here do a good job and others are absolutely terrible. It's really hard to know what you're going to get. The last time I went the tech did a poor job on my gel. It was lumpy and thick. My friends nails were also horrible and the tech cut her foot multiple times while doing her pedicure. I won't be going back. read more

The nail tech ended up shoving a nail tip under my nail and ripping them off and then had the audacity to charge me $15 for a "soak off". I throughly enjoyed my first visit here. Marie did both my SNS (dip powder) and my polish change on my toes. I'll have to return for a pedicure. I was also treated to a complimentary mimosa. Marie was very personable and efficient. The facility is very clean. I called ahead for an appointment around 10:45 am and they had room for me at noon. I only waited for about 7 minutes before being called for service. I was told it's even busier on Sundays. I'll definitely be back for a pedicure and will update a review on how well the SNS lasts. I have experienced chipping in the past from other establishments. If it does in fact last this will be my go to for SNS powder. read more

Came back to update on what my nails looks like at 1 week (7 days). On the same hand as originally posted in pictures, one more has popped off. This new picture is of the opposite hand. You can see how badly lifted they all are, and clearly it's not from me putting too much lotion on my hands as they might say. Adding... it appears my very detailed, original review is gone. In it, I stated how on day 4 (Sunday) I had one of the pink and white to come off, and multiple were very lifted around the edges. Can be seen in the first 2 pictures I posted. I called the shop when they opened on Monday, was told they would take care of it and "make it right". When I went, they were only willing to fix the one nail that popped off (had them done on a Wednesday, and it was just the following Monday when I went in... 5 days). As far as the ones lifted, they refused to fix them without me paying for a fill-in, which is another $58 for pink and white. This was at 5 DAYS... not even one week. Spoke with the Manager, he stood firm that they would not fix them without me paying for a fill-in. There are nail shops on every corner in Tallahassee... find a new one. I work too hard for my money to hand out $100 (includes tip) for work that is below par! read more

I'm very picky when it comes to nail salons, and this place met my expectations. It's new so it's very clean. I love the large windows throughout, letting in natural light. They put plastic bags over the pedicure feet bowls for sanitary purposes, which I appreciate. As soon as I sat down they offered me water or soda. I got the deluxe pedicure ($37). I enjoyed the massages with the peppermint soak, exfoliating sugar scrub, warm towels, and extra massage with 3 hot stones. The tech who did my pedicure seemed to be new, but she still did well. The massage and nail trimming part lasted about 30 minutes and the painting 6 minutes, so a total of 36 minutes. I was told the classic pedicure usually is 30 minutes and the deluxe 45 minutes, so it wasn't too much shorter than I expected. My tech was very particular with the cutting, filing, and painting of my nails. She constantly checked with me to ensure everything was to my liking. Great nail salon. I have been going here for five years. Loved how they did gel and dip and the friendliness was great. You felt welcomed. Well now with this new management, it is the complete opposite. You feel like a burden the second you walk in if it is who I think is the new female manager. She doesn't say hello. Just takes your paper and that's it. They used to give you so many selections for colors. Now they just give you a few racks on a ring and then hound you asking if you've picked a color. A large number of the previous employees have left and I see why now. I kept trying because my tech does my nails so good, but last week was my last chance due to the unfriendliness and being hounded to pick a color. Also, my ENTIRE time of getting my nails done, the new male manager sat there and had a conversation with my tech in Japanese. Just found that to be rude. So unfortunately, I'm back to searching for a good nail place. read more

I'm not the type of person to leave reviews, but I wanted to share my experience at this nail salon. I walked in around 1pm and asked to soak off my overlay and just have regular nail polish put on. After choosing my nail color, the receptionist sat me down. The nail tech proceeded to soak off my nails, they were pretty busy since it's Friday. She was helping out other customers with waxing which I totally understood. I started to get a little agitated because I was soaking my nails for a good 20 mins now. Thankfully, a guy named Lee took over. He did a great job with my manicure and the polish turned out pretty. After he was done working on me, he brought me over to the fan and I waited for about 15-20 mins to dry my nails underneath the fan. I sprayed the nails with the quick drying spray they had, and proceeded to pay and left around 2:25pm. I was very gentle as I know regular nail polish tends to smudge. Around 2:40pm I needed to get gas, as soon as I grabbed my card out of my wallet my left thumb nail polish just wiped off completely. I was appalled at how it wasn't even dry yet. I called the salon to ask for a refund just for the nail polish, and whoever picked up, rudely said "we don't do returns." I did not want to drive all the way back since I had already spent an hour and 25 mins for a soak off and regular polish w/manicure. I tried to let the remainder of my nails dry, but they still were wet and I can easily rub them off (3:30pm). I ended up removing them with acetone when I arrived home. I would not recommend getting regular polish from them. At the end of the day, my experience was not the greatest. read more

This was my second visit and I will not be back. I got an SNS manicure and it was $50- $35 for the SNS, an extra $10 for the manicure and $5 to soak off. Never in my life have I seen something so crazy where I've been charged for a soak off when I am getting my nails done. And they don't even look good!!! The bottoms of my nails need another coat. This didn't happen the first time either. Looks like I will be staying with my normal nail salon and drive the extra distance. read more

Came back for a Pedicure and Dip Nails and will 100% be back again. I had Ivy for my pedicure and Amber for my dip nails. Ivy did such a great job on my pedicure, I was completely relaxed and was gentle on my toes but gave a great leg/foot massage. The warm stones are nice touch. I recommend getting the Deluxe or higher pedicure - it is absolutely worth it. All the tools used were in their own sterilized package and the entire facility is very clean. Amber did my SNS Dip Nails. I have fairly short natural nails and she was able to make them the shape I asked for so I can grow them out while wearing SNS. Everyone here is nice, they do not make you feel rushed and really care about your comfort. They had just opened when I first started coming here but it really seems like they have it together now. Other patrons really seemed to be enjoying themselves as well - always a good sign! read more

When I moved to Tallahasse 3 years ago, I found Bliss through a coworker who had amazing nails and she suggested I check them out. From the moment you walk in the door you're greeted with a smile and offer of something to drink. You could tell they made customer service a top priority. I made an appointment for a mani and pedi and was delighted to see they had the latest colors from Opi and nearly every other brand you could think of. I choose gilt under the kilt from Opi. I choose the regular spa pedicure and was surprised at the amenities that were included. It was very relaxing, efficient and miraculous in making my feet pretty again! I then had tips and gel manicure. I can be very picky about length and gentleness of the drill/buffing; they even shortened them a little more than they were use to for a manicure. I couldn't have been more pleased I with my experience. I even had two diet Coke's! Since that day I have been a loyal costumer and even gotten to know the owners. I appreciate the level of customer service, cleanliness and professional service they provide. If you can't tell, I HIGHLY recommend them! You won't be disappointed! read more

Moving from Miami having one nail tech for 2 years who constantly made my nails up to my very tough expectations, i was really worried I might not find someone as good over here. I Splurged for the volcanic nail spa package and it was delightful. I did the honey pearl scent and it was light and yummy and it didn't bother my sensitive skin. The lady put the polish on so thick and sloppy that my nails were still wet two hours later and then got all smudged. Even before they got smudged they looked pretty bad. If speed is what you're looking for, then this place has it. My gel polish took less than 30 minutes. And I liked the variety of colors available (this is a slightly pink off-white). But $27 for a polish change (no manicure) that felt like it was rushed through seems a bit much. read more

I just moved to Tallahassee and have been looking for a good nail salon. A friend recommended me here and I'm SO glad she did. Maria, I believe, took off my acrylics (the right way thank god) by soaking my nails until the acrylic came off naturally. I can't tell you how many times people have just ripped the acrylic off in the past, leaving my nails weak and fragile. I got dipped SNS and was so pleased with the shaping and color. The 2 lady's I had were so sweet. It did take a while but most of that was the acrylic soaking. I will definitely be coming back! read more

We were desperately looking for a nail salon on New Year's Eve- so as expected, most places were booked. We ended up at bliss after a couple of fails and though the wait was long, the gals at the front let us know it would be about a 40 minutes wait. We waited just about that long before my mom, sister, and I were seated for pedicures. The salon was large with a row of about 15 pedicure chairs on one side and just about the same amount if manicure stations on the other side. It was clean and looked professional with a lot of nail technicians working that day. (There was an unruly customer who was upset with the wait time because they closed early that day but the manager handled it as best as she could despite the busy afternoon). Anyways, my nail tech's name was Hanah and she. Was. Wonderful. I opted for the classic pedicure which is what you would expect from a basic pedicure but the attention she paid to my toes was spectacular. I've been wearing a lot of close toed shoes lately which causes a lot of build up in my big toes. I didn't even have to mention this to Hanah for her to clean and trim my nails. The. Massage. Was. Heavenly. No other words needed. All in all, the pedicure took about 30 minutes for all three of us. My sister had Nini for her tech and also thoroughly enjoyed her pedicure. They also had a drying station where we were able to sit and wait while our mom got waxed. The basic pedicure came out to $32 which is pretty usual but well worth it. I might need to drive up to Tallahassee for my next pedicure! read more

My regular nail shop is closed for an extended vacation, but my nails needed a fill and gel paint and my MIL needed a manicure and gel. So based on the reviews decided to give them a try. Very nice salon, large and clean. First off, they are overpriced, by about 20%, they did an okay job, but not the most friendly technicians. Not crazy about the way she shaped my nails, and she was not great at communication, just all business. I appreciate professionalism, but I felt a bit like a number not a client. Also, I have noticed here in Tallahassee they don't massage your hands and check your nail beds. Not sure I would return. read more

No one under 30 should go here, they don't know any style to fit a younger demographic. Didn't even cut my cuticles. This salon looks very nice on the inside. I like how organized they are with tracking which technicians do what services and what place you are in line. That's about as far as the positives of this review goes. Last Sunday, I spent $87 on gel polish on my nails, a gel pedicure and eyebrows. The very next day (Monday), I noticed the polish on two of my nails was already lifting in the corners. I wasn't able to get the nails fixed until Wednesday and I also had them put an extra top coat on all of the nails. Now today is Friday and another nail has fully chipped in the corner. It also looks like the polish on other nails are lifting too. Gel polish is supposed to last at least ten days without chipping. I've had mine less than a week so you can imagine that I'm upset and never going back there. read more
