I removed my polish before going seeing from multiple sources that the business was open on Sunday, 12/7/25. Not only did I waste my time & gas, I've never received a returned call or any communication to date. Clearly, the business was closed when I arrived. There was another business in a nearby suite that was opened once I made my way to Digits and Spikes' suite. To say I'm disappointed is understatement.

I'm pretty sure i've had every team member for my service and every single time, it is perfect. I have had fragile nails my whole life. Normal and gel polish come clean off my nails. Acrylics always break and damage my nails even more. Since starting BIAB with my girls, my nails are so much stronger and healthier. Their range of talent, colors, and service is the best i've ever received. The small space with appointments only is so personable. I hate going to a salon that feels like a factory; one in, one out, with questionable attention to detail. Always the opposite here. Snacks, coffee, water, good vibes, and comfy chairs is the cherry on top. I live in Dilworth and gladly battle the traffic for the best mani ever!

There is a parking lot and a parking deck where I found parking. It is upstairs. The facility is nothing fancy, the pedicure chairs are massage chairs. They have a TON of polish options both gel and not, so that was nice but I found the bottles to be sticky when searching for a color. I wasn't rushed when picking a color which was nice. It was HOT inside. It was an 81 degree day at the beginning of April so maybe they weren't prepared for that yet (they did have fans on) but I was extremely hot. They had the radio on so some commercials played, not constant music. I wasn't offered a drink or any beverages. The nail tech was rough on my nails and feet, there were several points I was uncomfortable and even wondered if I might bleed. I do have cuts on my toes after. She did do a thorough job with a nice leg massage including wax treatment. My nails looked really nice afterwards. It took about an hour for a gel pedicure.

My husband and I both had appointments booked an hour apart. My appointment started before my scheduled time., and that was good because that meant my husband wouldn't have to sit around and wait for me for an hour. My pedicure and manicure were really good. The foot and arm/hand massages were good. The foot paraffin was good. When I took off the nail polish from my toes, my toes were not discolored or infected. I did use tea tree oil after the pedicure. Service was good. The two women working were nice. I would go back again.

I have visited Top Q Nails along with my 83-year-old mother on numerous occasions. My most recent…read morevisit took place on Friday, September 5th, 2025. The visit started as many of the others had with a warm greeting from the receptionist/manager at the front. This time, we were greeted by name, and I was asked to check in while they prepared spaces for us. After checking in, my mother was placed in one of the first three chairs on the left side of the shop, and I was placed in the center section in the vicinity of my mother. On the website, I requested a classic manicure for myself and a deluxe manicure (gel) and pedicure for my mother. Based on my math, that should equate to just over $100.00. Now my mother suffers from Alzheimer's Dementia, which is known at minimum by the receptionist/manager, but because we have been there on numerous occasions, I would imagine more of the staff know as well. I say all of this to say that I felt we were taken advantage of; my mother, with her condition, will agree to any suggestion, and she was upsold services that I had not requested. Well, as the receptionist/manager put it to me at check out, "let's see what the damage is," the final bill was $224.25. That amount is more than 1/5 of my mother's total Social Security payment. When my mother was seated, I'm sure she was asked if she would like (luxury pedi, hot stone, etc.), and I'm sure she agreed. That explains why I didn't make a fuss at check-out, but as a result, not sure we'll return. That's unfortunate because I like the shop and it's convenient for us, but this is not the first time that this has taken place in that shop. The receptionist/manager stated that she would put a note in our profile for future visits. Just a short bit of social commentary, this kind of business practice has been going on forever; it just seems that now it's rampant! PS: I attempted to post this review without a rating, but I couldn't, so I reluctantly rated it a five based on services provided, but I would rate it a one based on business practices. I just took another look at the receipt and there is a charge of $20.00 labeled additional extra?

At times, the attitudes can feel a bit harsh, but the owners are very sweet and professional. Just keep in mind that they do not take walk-ins close to closing, even for simple services, so it's best to plan ahead. I went in with my 5-year-old daughter, three teenage sisters, and my stepmom to celebrate my birthday with manicures and pedicures. I called ahead to book the appointment, and Mimi was fantastic in organizing everything to ensure we were all set. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by how clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed the salon was. The staff wore matching uniforms, the towels were embroidered with the business name, choice of vitamin-infused salt bath for your pedicure, and there was even a mini bar set up for special events. We were given choices of water, tea, coffee, juice, wine or champagne (I ordered a mimosa of course!). It was clear they take great pride in their space and service. However, there were some issues that affected our experience. My daughter's manicure and pedicure started to disintegrate after just two days, which was disappointing. I took her back to have it redone, and while the staff was accommodating, it was still a hassle. My shellac manicure, which I've had done many times without issue, also started lifting and chipping after just one week, which was unusual for me since I'm used to it lasting 3-4 weeks with no problems. What really added to the frustration was the delay in my stepmom's service. She had trouble with her technician, who wasn't familiar with shellac, and after everyone else was finished, we had to wait for someone else to redo hers. This pushed us over an hour late for our birthday lunch in Uptown and set off a domino effect, causing us to be late for the rest of our planned events. The service was great, the salon's cleanliness and atmosphere were top-notch, and the staff was friendly and professional despite these setbacks. I'm willing to give Alo Nail Salon another shot as it may have just been an off day, especially knowing I've had shellac manicures last for weeks in the past and not to assume 2 hours would be enough for a mani/pedi. I'd recommend it with a bit more caution and extra communication next time--especially if you have a hard stop for time-sensitive plans.

But my pedicure has come short, I ask for a deluxe pedicure with gel polish. Her work is very messy, first off she ask if I need to cut down I said yes please, instead of using a nail clipper she use the nipper (which is for the cuticles) to cut my nails, which OK but then she filed my toes nail with a file she pull out from her apron instead of using a new file in the pedicure package. Next she started cutting my cuticles which she not really cutting because she was yanking my cuticles which it hurt and she started cutting the side of my toe nails which I don't understand why she did that because I do not have ingrown at all. But now she cut all the corners and side of my toes, which I left in pain because again she was yanking it out. Scrubbing the bottom of my feet she barely put any effort pressure to scrub my still rough. I'm not expecting to be baby but smoot than what I come in with. But no is not. Now is massage, I thought I would get some decent massage with a deluxe pedicure, but massage was no longer then 2 mins she literally just slap some lotion/oil on and that it. Lastly the polish l, it is very messy got on my cuticles and the polish wasn't smooth. The lady told me I shouldn't get White because my toes were short, well I told her I never have that problem before. I left with uneven and painful toes. I will definitely not come back or recommend. I did paid $60 plus 20% tips The price is fair but the the treatment I get for what I paid doesn't match up.
