This was probably my worst experience ever at any nail place in any state I have been to. The wait was long and not 1 person spoke to me or offered water until I complained and asked how much longer. I wanted a simple design. Dots in the color of a rainbow. Couldn't do it. I gave her 3 options and she couldn't complete any of them. The manager came over and tried to but it turned out terrible. 2 different sizes on each toes with the red bleeding around my nail. I cried when I was there because I was so frustrated. I was just trying to treat myself after some difficult times. To say the least this didn't make me feel ANY better and I'm completely embarrassed to wear sandals. Easy scheduling online, no wait time after arrival, SNS nails have lasted six weeks!! no breakage. Reasonable prices. Very friendly staff.

The staff is nice. The environment is clean. But EVERY gel acrylic set that I get other than glitter, will chip and crack within 2 days. More than once I've had to return to the salon within 3 days of getting them done to get my polish reapplied. This is very annoying since they also do not honor appointments, so even with an appointment I've waited over an hour for them to start on me. Got the done on Wednesday 11/29 and noticed 3 cracked nails on Saturday, 12/2 - went out of town this weekend so I've had to look at another cracked and chipped set all weekend . I'm very annoyed. I will be returning to get this set reapplied and fixed, but after that, I will be looking for another salon. Sorry guys, you guys were my number 1 go to but this is not working out anymore. Amazing customer service and attention to detail. I haven't been able to find a place that cares to take the time to paint every edge and leave the nail clean of polish, and Uyen did all that and more without me having to ask or point things out. She was so friendly and left my short broken nails looking fabulous with dip powder. My friend was in town visiting and got cat eye design nails with Henley and it was the best manicure she's ever had. Both of them made our experience and girl time wonderful! I usually only get pedicures which they do a great job with no complaints. However i felt to lazy to do a soak off on myself so i got one there. She didn't even touch me with acetone. She drilled my nails down n then proceeded to take nippers and a tip to pop them off. Then took her COARSE DRILL BIT over my natural nails. My nails are dented up and hot pink. My pinky hurt the rest of the day from how raw it was. I have never had my nails drilled down this bad ever. read more

My review is strictly based on my experience. My nieces and Aunt visited me and I wanted to treat them to a pedicure. I booked an appointment on Saturday for Monday 2/17 for all of us. I arrived to my appointment 10 minutes early. Not one persons greeted me upon arrival. I'm big on courtesy and they seemed like they did not want to be bothered in the beginning. I should've left right then but my nieces were so excited. A women directed us to sit down at the pedicure chair , we got seated and then she informed us we didn't have an appointment and they would need to take the customers that had one. I informed, I had an appointment she said she didn't see it. I told her it showed up when I checked in additionally I had the confirmation on my phone. After confirming my appointment, they still acted as if they did not want to accommodate or honor the appointment. After realizing she was in the wrong, she never returned to rectify the situation. One of the men indicated he would take one of us, and that star is for him. We were early for our appointments, and I would not have had an issue moving to accommodate but it was their approach and their fault for telling us to sit at the station if they knew they had scheduled appointments. Needless to say, I took my business to Diamond Art Nails in Rock Hill and received top tier service. read more

Ok.. after getting over my initial disappointment with this place, I decided to go back and give them another try. One negative about coming here is the parking situation. The parking lot is poorly laid out in this shopping center and I have almost gotten hit on a couple of occasions by other drivers who were not paying attention...while that is not the fault of the nail salon, it does factor in to my decision making when deciding where to go. So, I went back on a couple of occasions to get a gel polish (they still run the groupon for that from time to time- gel polish only, not a manicure). The service is hit or miss depending on which nail tech you get and how busy they are when you go in. But they are clean, the salon is nicely laid out, and they have a good selection of polish. I've visited this nail salon approximately 5 times. After my most recent visit I won't return. The owners are friendly, it's clean and they offer beverages. My manicure was good (SNS) but worst pedicure I've ever had. The tech clearly didn't know what she was doing. She cut the bottom of one foot,which hurt and bled, and cut too much nail off my other foot. The following day my feet were in pain. Opposite of my objective. I was aware that this was a new business opening right down the street fropm me and decided to stop by after receiving a coupon mailer. It took me a while to get there on my day off, but glad I finally got there. I always opt for a pedicure, and this time with the discount, I got the deluxe! I was there on a Monday afternoon, so there were a few customers, but it was quiet. The decor is contemporary with a soothing color palette and lighting. NBSB uses top grade salon products such as Cuccio, OPI and Essie. There is a 20% discount Monday through Thursday for waxing services and a $5.00 discount for mani-pedi combos. The staff was quietly polite and my pedicure was leisure with emphasis on the foot and leg massage. My technician graciously reapplied my polish when I moved my foot and messed up a toe. I am sure I will visit again when I need a bit of pampering. read more

I've been here several times without any issues. I've never really had to wait that long either. I usually just go for the gel manicure and I've gotten several gel polishes with a groupon. They have lots of colors and options and the techs that have done my nails seemed friendly. I've never had any issues with my groupon. They do ask up from if you want a full manicure for $10 but I always decline. The gel polish comes with a quick filing and buffing and and my nails still look good. read more

i got there and she was ripping my nails off from the start and was rude about it when i was bothered by it. pain doesn't bother me but it was genuinely unbearable. my nail's currently hurt so bad and it's not the normal type of getting your nails done pain. and as well they look horrible and the shape is very bad. i'm just really sad to be completely honest, rlly disappointed. lumpy, and much shorter than i asked for. do not go here if you don't want your nails ripped off, bad quality acrylics, rude service and have to pay extra for shape and length. also may i add my nails are currently raw. read more

The first two times were fine but This is by far the worst management staff this shop has seen yet. It's pointless in making an appointment, because they do not block off the time for the nail tech, so when you arrive, you're waiting like 30 mins pass your scheduled time. I've spoke to the manager once already & still Zero change. I have been to Nail Bar Spa Ballantyne many times. I even purchased their Groupons for 3 for $30 gel polish, since I am a regular customer. (For the reviewer that complained about the Groupon, it clearly states that it's for a gel polish ONLY. Looks like someone didn't read their Groupon on what was included. That's the buyers fault, not the salons.) I usually walk-in to get my nails done, since I find there is no difference in wait time if you have an appointment or not. I do think they need a receptionist for the front to check-in clients. This will help with client comfort and help the nail technicians really focus on their clients and not have the randomly greet people walking in or make them stop just to answer the phone. With that being said... The nail techs at NBSB always, no matter who works on my nails, do a fabulous job!!! They are quick, quiet, professional and are always honest with their pricing.
