Henry did a great job on my NexGen nails. Everyone is very friendly!! Love the bright orange! Fun for summer!

This was my first time visiting Nails Maxx. Took my mom and aunt to treat them and we had a very good experience. Technicians were careful to not nick our skin and there wasn't a lot of chitchat (which I appreciate). I had light pink Nexgen polish applied by Paul and they look very pretty. Everyone was very friendly. I will be going back for sure. Overview of some of the prices: * Nexgen Polish (Powder Dip) - $35 * Cuticle Trim - $5 * Classic Mani - $16 * Hand Wax Treatment - $7

This is a picture of them about a week after being done.

They did my nails for my wedding and they look just like the picture I showed them when they finished. They did great on cleaning up my cuticles and great on my pedicure as well. Very nice staff. You can tell you are their priority. Im very rough with my hands, dont pay attention to making sure im tedious with my nails. And I have had no breakage at all. They have lost a bit of their sharpness on the edges and the shine. But that is expected to happen to any nails you ever get.

Clear images of the terrible job they did when I was done with my nails.

Terrible experience. Please see images and owners comment. It might make you laugh a little. Enjoy! Just don't waste your money and time here.

Uneven nails even after I told her she said "no it's even"

I used to come here a lot when they were still good, but now they charge for every little thing (like cutting my cuticles??? It's an extra $5) and Lee was not good at all my nails are uneven and when I asked her to fix my thumbs she started talking about me to the worker next to her. Yes, I understand Vietnamese so y'all shouldn't be talking about people when it's THEIR nails. Never coming back here again.

This is the hand she sliced my pinky.

This is the first time I have ever wrote a bad review. I came here with my mom for the first time last week. I had a lady do my nails and they turned out all bumpy and lumpy. The dip is hanging off the sides of my nails. One nail already cracked. She got frustrated with how it looked and she started to buff them again towards the end. When she did it, it was very aggressive and she sliced my pinky. I got the upgraded pedicure and they still tried to upsell me. Asked me twice. Told them I wanted paint on my toes. They started doing gel on my toes and my mom had to tell me to look down. I told the guy I said paint and he said he thought I nodded yes to gel. Then I have them cash to pay. They only gave me back my change in 20's hoping that's how I would tip them. Just stay away. Trust me.

My go to place. Navick always does an excellent job and keeps it funny and down to earth.

They must be under new management this summer? I've been coming here every three weeks for 2 years and on my last visit, I was shocked to find out that out of nowhere, my nail tech no longer works there (not by her own decision), the color I usually get has been thrown away, and the prices went up. It's a shame, this place used to be high quality and a great value. The new front desk girl didn't even glance up from her phone when I walked in and there were a bunch of young men (employees or family members? They definitely weren't getting pedicures) with their feet kicked up, playing on their phones in the pedicure chairs. And for the first time ever, I wasn't offered a drink - unsure if this perk was discontinued or if the staff was just too engrossed in their phones. For as much as they're charging now, I can and will go to a much nicer salon with a professional atmosphere.

Great French Dip! Hubs and I went for mani-pedis before our cruise. Everyone at Nails Maxx was friendly and provided great service!

I called ahead for an apt same day. I had Nevik for a full set. He explained the differences between Next Gen nails and acrylics. I ended up doing the next gen. The powder went on easily and shaped more naturally. They were so hospitable and professional. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place and I'll be back

The staff is professional, friendly, and genuinely cares about their customers. They take their time, pay attention to details, and make sure you're happy with the results before you leave. The salon is clean, welcoming, and well-managed, which says a lot about their work ethic and commitment to providing a great experience. It's clear they value both quality and customer service, and that's why I keep coming back. If you're looking for a nail salon that delivers beautiful results while treating customers with respect and care, I highly recommend Hi-End Nails. They truly deserve the five-star rating! There was a very kind doctor who was also a regular customer, and I repeatedly overheard staff specifically discussing the fact that she was a doctor and using that as a reason to upsell and charge her more. They would encourage more alcohol, extend her massage, add hot stones or other extras, and then increase her bill. From the conversations I personally overheard, it was clear they viewed the fact that she was a doctor...and therefore assumed she had money..as an opportunity to get more out of her. That completely changed the way I view this business. Offering an additional service with a clearly stated price is one thing. Privately discussing how much more you think you can get someone to spend because of their profession or perceived wealth, while assuming your customers cannot understand you, is something entirely different. After hearing these conversations myself, I no longer trust their billing or upselling practices. If you choose to go here, I would pay very close attention to exactly what you agree to and what you are ultimately charged.

Also, they do great work. Talented nail techs and really high quality manis/pedis! Third, I see the owner working really hard. She's dedicated and very hands on and I see her trying and caring. I can tell she wants her customers to have a nice experience. But ok- serious scheduling problems & it's a pattern. We called to book appointments, they told us 345 would work, then texted to push it to 4 which wasn't an issue at all, but then we got there at 4 and my daughter waited in the chair for 30+ mins before they started. The whole time I'm on edge because I can already sense we're not going to get out of there by 5:30, and I have kids to pick up from daycare, so coming was a huge mistake. Please please please next time just don't say you have availability for us at 4 if what you really mean is 4:40. It's about being clear and managing expectations. So I stopped the girl at the front desk as sweetly as I could, and said I need to leave by 5:30, if that's not realistic then let me know and we'll have to come back. I told her I was getting really worried since they hadn't started on my daughter's manicure and it was this elaborate design that also required tips and dip. She was just like "ok, I'll tell them.." MEANWHILE! A very flustered woman is storming out of the salon and ~rescinding her tip she left~ and sort of made a spectacle of it, going "she's been sitting there for an hour!" (In reference to her daughter) SAME STRUGGLE. I watched after she left and there was definitely a trace of snarky giggling between the 2 staff members at the front desk. (What's so funny??That's on you guys) The last thing you want to do when you're paying for a relaxing experience is get into confrontation or conflict, but that happens here! It's uncomfortable. I want to come in and be a respectful visitor, tip well, have a nice time, and leave happy, leave feeling like we were welcome and not in the way. The OTHER issue.... t h r e e times during my pedicure I asked my nail tech if I could please put rhinestone jewels on the big toe. NOPE. He kept going with the pedicure and nodding his head. I guess he wasn't comprehending. I tried to stop him 3 times to add the jewels on! Maybe it's coming, I thought. And I know it's a first world problem, but still, I just wanted the silly accent nail done. At the end he's like "done. You like?" And very sweetly I asked if I could have the jewels added (that's #4). Only then when it was over, did the manager/owner come over to intervene, and don't get me wrong she WAS kind and gracious about it, but she said that the nail art jewels needed to be done sooner and "next time tell the front desk person that's what you want" I just nodded and said ok thanks no big deal... but I DID TELL THE FRONT DESK GIRL! I showed her the little box of rhinestones and said please add this on to the service, I know it's extra, thank you! She said ok and then that was it. I could do her job better than her and it's her fault for not taking initiative and not paying attention, not relaying that request to the nail tech if the sweet nail tech gentleman I had doesn't speak English. For me, paying for a nail service but then just flat out not getting what you ask for is a dealbreaker. What did I get? A polite & earnest excuse masking a lecture at the end as I'm paying, that next time I should ask for it better. Uggggghh. If it was my business, I'd fix the problem then and there vs telling the customer what to do differently next time. I do respect the owner like I said, she has good people skills and was all sweet and telling us we can get the nail design on a future visit and then something about taking 20% off today's service. How can you argue with that. But ya, I just left sad and defeated and not exactly enthusiastic to come back. I respect them, I think they do beautiful nails, it's clear their heart is in it and they're trying, and like I said the salon is gorgeous. But there's always some kind of fumble or miscommunication or story.

There is currently no one waiting so you can't even excuse that they are trying to serve others. Still, you shouldn't rush your current client for another client if that was the case which it isn't. She is literally doing cuticles super fast and cut me. When I said Ow! She said Oh I got you? And just kept going very fast. Then proceeded to scrub my legs furiously and roughly like she's in a race. I came to relax and enjoy a pedicure not act like a race car at a track being serviced. I try really hard to find the positive but so far - no good. The place appears to be clean so that's a positive. We were offered a drink when we came in. However, she appeared to be irritated that I had gel that needed to be removed. Do they expect customers to come in ready for polish? If so, why am I paying for a pedicure. She ripped the foam toe separator off my feet instead of just taking them off and threw it down. Idk if she's having a bad day or what but she is coming off as angry at the world. Is this her personality? Either way, it's definitely not a pleasant experience. She finally redeemed herself a tiny bit with the massage. Still, extremely rough but at least I wasn't cut again. I've never experienced a pedicure like this in 20* years. I'm giving 2 stars because the place was clean and she offered a drink. Even though she raced through the polish - she did a good job. For that - 2 stars. I'm not confrontational so I didn't want to ask her what her problem was or report her behavior to the owner (unless she is the owner) but it was such bizarre behavior I couldn't believe it. I'd love for someone to tell me if this is typical behavior from her. As of now, I WILL NOT BE BACK! Updated my review to 1 star although I'd give zero stars if possible. I handpicked this place based on my Google search for highly rated nail salons in Allen... I requested a gel manicure. "Amy" started off by complaining constantly throughout the process, of course in Vietnamese, that my builder gel was taking too long to take off. Not my fault. Builder gel is indeed sturdier and takes extra time but she spent entirely way too long because she didn't know what it was. Her male coworker next to her had to explain what it was. Then charged $10 (for taking off 7 of 10 cause I had already took 3 off) without telling me. I'm Vietnamese so I understood every word and was just waiting on her to inform me. Really, it would have been quicker and without burning my left index finger with the drill, to soak them in acetone after filling the top coat off. How do I know? Cause I usually do it home so I would not have to pay for it but I was on vacation so there's that. The cuticle cleanup was subpar. Did not apply any cuticle softener or remover like her coworker did two work stations over. My cuticles still look ragged. The shaping was uneven but that's pretty common between all the places Ive been to. About 9 times out of 10, I need to reshape them myself. Lastly, her polish skills are way below expectations. The gel flooded into my cuticles and she spent too long trying to clean it up after it cured, so now my gel is lifting after one week. I showed my bf and asked him what's wrong with my nails? He quickly said they look uneven... I'm picky about my nails and I do not request do-overs, I just fix it myself. It cost me approx $45 + $5 tip (because I don't believe not tipping).
