TERRIBLE PLACE STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. Bought a Groupon deal for 3 mani pedis. Paid an additional $5 for white tips on my manicure. SO GLAD Groupon refunded me the the full amount after I told them about my awful experience. Small parking lot in front of the nail salon. I was seated quite promptly and they began filling the pedicure foot tub with blue-ish looking water which had me feeling slightly alarmed... it looked like the color of toilet bowl cleaning solution. They had 2 different ladies working on me - one for my manicure and one for pedicure. The woman working on my manicure (Tina?) was very nice and asked me what shape I would like, and was gentle for the entire time. Now comes the pedicure. The woman working on my foot was in a bad mood or something and shaved my nail way too short. After about a week I noticed that on the exact toe, I had an ingrown toenail. I went to see a foot doctor and was told it's common for badly done pedicures to have this result if they shave too closely. The doctor bill was $125. So I called back Nails N Beyond to see if they would do anything to rectify the solution. Below are listed the "solutions" they suggested: 1) The first solution the lady on the phone tried to bullshit me with was: "You should've come back and we could've removed the the ingrown toenail for you!" Why would I go back and have an ingrown toenail removed by the very people who caused it? Not to mention, why would I let random, non-professionals dig into my skin and remove shit? What if they caused another infection with their insanitary tools? 2) The second excuse the lady gave me was, "You should've come back earlier so I knew it was you. Now that so much time has passed there's no way to know if we caused the ingrown toenail." Um... I am not so bored that I would call up a random place to complain about an ingrown toenail (which I have NEVER gotten before from a pedicure). And seriously, you're going to make me DRIVE all the way back to your terrible salon and waste my gas money just to prove to you that you fucked up big time? I DON'T think so. And from her attitude, I knew for a fact that even if I did go back right after, they would've made up some other bs excuse and denied they even did my nails. 3) Last solution: "We'll give you 10% off your next service." ... 10% doesn't even cover the gas costs it takes to get to your nail salon. Yeah... no. I'm not going back for that 10%. All in all, just don't come back here. Extremely unprofessional people run this place. People who don't give a crap about their customers or the service they produce. Everything reeks of a business that solely cares for money. read more

Let me start by saying I found this salon due to groupon. I did my research and saw they had amazing reviews and promising photos so I bought the deal that offered 3 mani pedis for one super low price .. I REALLY wish I hadn't. This is probably the most stressful (and painful) mani pedi I've ever had. The woman doin my manicure seemed as if she was in such a rush - even though there were no other customers in the shop. She did a good job shaping my nails but only used the rough side of the file and failed to smooth them out, so they're snagging everything I touch. She roughly pushed back my cuticles and proceeded to hack at them with her tiny scissors. After the basics were done she rushed through the base coat, barely covering my entire nail and creating an uneven surface. When I asked her to address bubbles and particles in my polish she seemed to have an attitude, and instead of repolishing the entire nail she did some shotty "patch work" that left uneven craters. She blamed it on the thickness of the polish and proceeded to out ALOT of thinner into the bottle of OPI .. Smh. I asked the woman working on my feet to redo my hands instead since my toe polish looked much better (or so I thought). She removed all the polish with cotton balls - which revealed all the dirt left under my nails from my initial incomplete manicure. Seriously - this shop has to be joking. After removing the polish she did not wash my hands, proceeding to paint cotton remnants into my polish. When I asked her to redo two nails that had cotton in them, she simply painted over them. FML. The nail tech insisted I get 3 coats of color polish as well - which is unheard of. I had to tell her no 3 times. I think it was just an attempt to hide more cotton. The biggest offense here is the lack of patience with the polishing. The layer of clear coat doesn't go to the base of my nails which really just makes it look even worse. I asked her to fix them before she moved on so they wouldn't set in several layers .. She seemed to ignore that because she certainly didn't fix it. The top coat is so shotty my nails don't even look freshly painted. Can you sense my disappointment? Believe it or not I haven't even been home an hour and the polish is ALREADY chipping on my thumb. I'd rather let the remainder of my groupon go unused than volunteer for this punishment. I won't cheat on you again Modern Pamper (my usual nail salon) .. That's what I get for straying. PS whoever the receptionist is was very sweet and made me a delicious hot cocoa .. However not delicious enough to redeem the experience I had here. Great service! First time I made an appointment and waited maybe 5min second time I did a walk in and was seen right away. They will accommodate you even if you walk in 5min before closing. I loved my regular mani and pedi the first time HOWEVER, full acrylic could be better. I got the ombré look and it came out too think for my liking. I was told that I needed to get longer nails to make the look less bulky. I'm sure I can find a spot that will have no problem doing short,thin, normal looking ombré acrylic nails FOR THE SAME PRICE. read more

Had appt for 10am. Asked if I could come back Sara want there. She's the owner. She made my appt. Lady that was to do my pedicure had another customer. I left went shopping came back still not there. 90 degrees outside no a/c. Had to complain so they turned on these little fans . Sara was to do my eyebrows. They told me 20 minutes. It's been 45 minutes and still not here and the lady for my pedicure is still working on customer ummm not returning here now gotta go home and take another shower sooo HOT in there read more

Once again Yelp! has steered me in the right direction. I had such a great experience here. It's located in an industrial part of town, so I was shocked to find this classy and very glam nail salon. The decor is very trendy. I came to get my nails done (acrylics) and received an excellent and very detailed job. My nails look very natural. The nail technician was a guy (sorry I forgot his name). He had the greatest , most charming personality. His conversation was fab, I laughed the entire time. They are a full service salon so I decided to get a wax too! The esthetician did an great and thorough job. No hair left anywhere. I did have one concern: Although she washed her hands before my service, I think she should have worn gloves. At least thats what I've been accustomed to. Over all I'm glad I took a chance and stopped in here and It's close to my house.......This place maybe my new fav. read more

Made the appointment the day before, and I was seated as soon as I walked in, even though I was a bit early. Mai is who always does my acrylics, she is amazing!!! she is gentle, funny, polite, efficient, makes sure nails are even in length, same shape, I have no residue left, my polish is always on point ! David is the person who does my pedicure. He always find a really good color match, he is friendly and funny, he takes care of moving my items at all times, he gives me a massage on feet and legs that it's very gentle. His work it's really good, cuticles are gone in seconds and he cleans my nails very nice and my feet are always very soft! Mariana it's the receptionist, she's very sweet, funny, attentive from the moment you walk in until You leave the premises, she offers me a drink and it's always asking me if there is anything else she can do for me ! Place it's a little tricky to find, the is parking in the front and the back of the nails salon, and you can access from either door too, bathroom it's always clean and smells nice. Place is kept very well, keep clean, doesn't smell like " the chemicals of a nail salon", walls have a couple of scratches, tables and chairs are up to date and the place has a very nice style overall. Prices are very well in comparison to the job you get done, I can't say enough good thing about this place! read more

So here are 3 good and 3 bad things about my experience (ps. I found it on groupon & bought the 3 mani-pedi deal): Good: 1. The place looked really nice! 2. It didn't smell like nail polish & acetone 3. They had complimentary waters & coffee Bad: 1. I felt rushed & like the staff wanted to be done with me as soon as possible 2. I felt insecure about the whispering that my manicurist & pedicurist were doing right in front of me. I'm not accusing them of gossiping about me, but it did make me feel anxious that I didn't know what they were saying 3. My pedicure looks great but my manicure is very bad. She didn't file them evenly or paint all the way to my cuticles so it looks like my nails have grown out for a week. And it started to chip the very next day. To finish off, even after I thanked them & tipped them, they still just wanted me to get out as soon as I could. I will not be back here ever. read more

I tried the place for the first time about a week ago and I must say, I am very impressed. I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment and the place was very clean, nice furniture, and decorated for Xmas so it got me in the Christmas spirit I chose my color with the help of the employee who even recommended the shade of red which i now have and love. Before putting my feet in the pedicure tub, the employees rinsed it out once more (which i am sure was already done after the last client), the water temperature was set to my comfort level, the massaging seats were turned on, and the employees started on me right away. I had the pleasure of having Leslie who did such an amazing job. I am very sensitive and not a single cut or pain from the nail job was given to me. She worked very sensitively and made sure I am very comfortable as I had many calls and text messages during my appointment (Hope I didn't annoy her myself, oopsie). She asked me what I wanted and to my surprise (YES, THIS IS A SURPRISE...) I got exactly what I wanted. The compliments I have received are enough to make me go back, not to mention the service, cleanliness, and manners. THE TECHS ACTUALLY SPEAK ENGLISH, TOO!!! Pricing was great as well, considering that I did acrylics and even got expensive bows with with rhinestones on them. They even have a playground next door that you can take your kids, too. So for moms that have the world's excuses as far as kids, You now can take your kids for a fun time while you relax and get pampered. No need to pay extra for a pricey babysitter, and definitely no need to complain because the ladies give you no reason to. Check out their FB and IG pages for specials and make sure to get their cards because for every 6th visit, you get a special treat. And here's a bonus which I loved, your waxing/threading/eyebrow/makeup/hair appointments are all considered visits (duhh) so you get to the 6th visit quicker and you get a treat. I love going to Hasmik ... She cleans cuticle like no they .... Not gonna lie. She is rough and may cut.... But I rather feel pain and minor cut but have clean cuticles They're all very nice and live my coffee there It's one stop shop if you need hair care as well. read more

First time they did great job. But this time they did a horrible job. The manicurist cut my finger twice and believe it or not, didn't apologized or said dirt even once. Also they charge way higher than anywhere else.$60 for mani and pedi. I paid way more than 60 for this service but I'm fancy salons. The stuff they use is all old. The towels are so torn Up and colors are changed . It's nasty. I don't know how lat time I didn't notice it. May me it was new that time ???? Never ever again. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. I've been here at least three times and I kept coming back due to cheaper pricing but it's so NOT worth it. They rush everything and always try to OVERCHARGE especially if you're using card. All three times I've gone they charge me an additional $1 on top of the credit card fee. I know it's not a lot but if they're doing this to every customer it adds up. She embarrassed me and my daughter for the last time and I will never return. The lady who did my pedicure said I could pay by Venmo which I did and I asked if I can apply tip there as well in which she said "yes, but don't write anything". I sent the money along with tip and put the emoji . We left and she came out screaming saying "I told you not to put anything!" Over and over again. I was so embarrassed as the customers inside and people outside were staring at me. Horrible, unprofessional and lousy job. So very upsetting and degrading coming from a paying customer. read more

I came here when they barely open n this lady did my nails she didn't really do I good job. Then I tried it again to give them a second chance n she did my nails again n she still didn't do a good job. So I said never again. This place is close to home so I was passing by when I saw that it was under new management so I went back. Kim help me with my full set and she did n amazing job. Love this place! Got a gel mani, pedi & brow threading. I have only done gel manicure twice before at different nail salons and both times have sucked. The gel mani I got at Nails N Beyond although a bit bumpy and uneven from the sides, I still love that there are no bubbles and that she took her time applying and cleaning the edges. Pedicure was also pleasant. No pink lotions, a leg scrub was applied and hot towels. The person who did my pedi even took the time to apply two nails colors to match my gel mani which was really nice. Eyebrow threading was also great. I normally go to the stands inside malls but I never really enjoy the threading. But this time I loved it. You can't even feel it and she works until shes happy with your eyebrows. They accept credit cards but tips are cash only. read more

Rush rush rush... ripped my fingers apart with the cleaning thingy... moving way to fast and drew blood twice... I get that nail salons want to get you in an out as quickly as possible but this appt/last appt I had here I think they were trying to break a record for quickest manicure... smh read more

RUDE! I never do bad review but do not go here! These people were so mean to my friend, they were so demanding. She was getting out of her hot car so her temperature was 100 degrees and told her to wait outside and cool down which she did but there were homeless people yelling at her and she felt unsafe and told the lady "hey I'm fine I was in my hot car please check my temperature" and after it was 98. After the ladies were being cold even though she was being so polite, saying thank you and even after she was gonna go leave a tip, they demanded for her to use the ATM so they could get there tip even though she knew to give it to them. I will not tolerate people who are rude to my friends or family and this was not right! read more

I've been having a nail crisis, because my old girl had left the salon I used to go to. Found this hidden gem on Yelp and I was super happy. They're selection in nail polish is endless. Very nice staff, super friendly, And they offer 10% off your first time. I got a gel manicure and spa pedicure and they did a good job. I am very picky when it comes to nail services, and Fanny did a good job on my manicure and she was very nice, and talkative. :) read more

Worst place ever. I've been getting my nails done for 20 years and I've never been to a place that's this bad. I went in to fix my middle nail. It's Sooooooo uncomfortable !!!!!! So Crooked! Such a bad job: I don't know how these people are in business!!! She started off by taking my broken nail off, SHE WAS KILLING ME! SHE WAS PEELING MY NAIL OFF SO ROUGHLY!! I come in looking a mess and leave looking awesome!!! Head to toe I'm taken care of; From Rita's fabulous blow dry to Kathy's eyebrow shaping and my mani pedi with any of the great staff I always leave looking great!!! I usually have Suzan or Winona do my pedi and Ricky to mani gel and it's always on point!!! The staff is friendly and always courteous with coffee or water even champagne!!! Definitely coming bi weekly for my head to toe magic. read more

So this is my first time coming after new management and to be honest I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews on here. But I was short on time and since it's so close to where I live I decided to take a chance. I was not disappointed. They were a little busy so I waited maybe 15min max (didn't mind because I needed them done that day). I was so happy with how my nails turned out!! I'll be asking for Sarah next time I go in. She was really nice and made feel comfortable. Not one cut and my nails lasted the 2 weeks! I'll definitely be coming back. read more

This is my normal go to spot for gel manicure but today I decided to go for a full set with gel polish. I forgot to ask my technicians name but she isn't my normal tech. She was gentle and didn't cut me but she seemed a bit rushed and a tad sloppy. The nails are pretty but they have bubbles and aren't symmetrical, they are the perfect length tho. I wish I could have them put on the tips and acrylic and then let me shape them with their nail filers. After i get them to my preferred shape they can smooth them and add the gel. But that would probably take too much time and I'm sure they was you in and out of the chair quickly. Overall I give this visit 3 stars and don't feel this set deserves the $43 I spent. I then had to wait for the 2nd manicure tech to finish my manicure. -second nail techs working on my manicure was amazing and tied her best to make my appointment enjoyable and make my nails look as good as they can with the crooked extensions and cut cuticles. Nails are still crooked and they look like I've had them on for weeks / already look grown out. Mind you I've had them on for 4 days. I reached out to the owner and she was very rude. She said she needed to investigate where she talked to everyone in the salon and got back to me via text. They offered me a $30 *courtesy credit towards my next visit and that's all. I paid $300 including all tips and they will not make it right but instead blame me; stating the extended time of my appointment was me being late. I was not late. Had an appointment at 4 and called an hour ahead to change it to 5. Also tried to stats the incorrect quote was something they would not have done. But I made the appointment based on the quote. Tried to argue but the owner stopped replying to me all together even after I sent her photos of my nails. Also missed my date that night dude to the service issues and time. :/ The whole reason I went to get my nails done to begin with. Do not go here.

However when I went to pay, the receptionist told me it would be $45, I asked to confirm the price because all I got was my gel removed and she told me because I agreed to having my cuticles cut, it was now considered a manicure and 'she did the service so I need to pay it.' To which I asked for clarification because she did not paint my nails, do a clear coat, soak my nails, or any of the other services that come with a manicure. She said I could get a polish if I wanted to and I considered it but then I asked again is there no way to pay a little more than the gel removal fee because yes she did cut my cuticles but it feels unfair that since they did not communicate that uncharge to me that I would be expected to pay for a service I simply did not get. She said I should have asked for the prices when she offered to cut my cuticles and I said that doesn't feel fair because I've gotten gel removed before where they just cut my cuticles without asking so why would I have assumed it would be a $35 add on to my $10 service. The receptionist then told me to leave and she would rather me not pay than argue with her. I explained I was not arguing and I do want to pay, $45 for a service I did not receive feels unfair but I would not be leaving without paying. I took a $20 out of my wallet and put it on the technicians table and left. I paid double what I would have paid for the service alone, I will not let someone think I'm trying to not pay service workers, she deserves to be paid, however, I am not okay with trying to be scammed out of $35 for a up-charge that was not communicated properly. I do not recommend this shady behavior in an establishment, sorry for the miscommunication but this could have been handled so much better than it was.

I have been going to this place for a while because I live up Sunland. I had never had a bad experience up until today. An elderly woman did my gel manicure today. I am very particular about my nails. I like them squared. The lady filed them down to a very awkward round shape. I was hopeless at this point... I grabbed the file as she went to grab my colors to try and make them squared... nope. Nothing. I'm already mad.. and the cherry on top was when she brought back the pink color I chose and I noticed she kept trying to get more product out of the bottle but there was none left! My nails looked like, washed out pink marble!!!! HORRIBLE! I couldn't take it anymore and I told the lady that she had no more product and that it looked ugly! And she kept applying until FINALLY she asked if they had more pink... she brought it out and proceeds... she goes, "much better?" I say, "yes" but now there are 4 layers of pink on my nails and they look ugly... at this point I just want to leave... as I pay a different woman at the desk, I tell her that I was not pleased... I had some other woman do my nails before and they were great (Emily) hence the 3 stars. I liked her! Anyway, the woman at the desk apologizes and that was that... I still paid for the service that I wasn't happy about... I liked how Emily did my nails so I don't really know if I'll ever return... read more

Such a shame how down hill this place has gone. It's down the road from me so I've been there several times since they opened a few years ago. They were never my favorite, but they did a decent job. They have become SUPER sloppy and unprofessional in there. When I walked in the manager and one of the girls were watching TV on an iPad at the front desk and eating (it was 2:30pm). They looked at me like I was annoying and interrupting them. It was a Thursday so only me and one other person were getting our nails done. The manager proceeded to fall asleep at the front desk with her headphones in and two of the other girls plopped off their shoes and sat in the customer waiting area seats by the front door opposite me on their iPhones and eating. They were also all talking loudly to each other in Chinese ( which I've always found a little rude anyway). The two girls hung sloppily over the two chairs for almost an hour while I got my Mani pedi. There was tons of dust and dirt on the floor and the place was filthy so they could have been cleaning or taking a break out back. It was so unprofessional. The girl doing my toe nails was jerking my feet around and was very fast and didn't even bother putting the tissue between my toes. The overall experience was awful and I will never be back. I found this salon by chance, I went In to get my nails done and to my surprise found out that they also had a young lady that does eyebrow and face hair removal by threading;. She did my eyebrows and my face and I was surprised at the final result. She was quick, friendly and did an excellent job on my face and eyebrows. I had previously done threading but this time I did not feel pain and or discomfort. She took real good care of me. My nail experience was very good as well. The manicurist shaped my nails exactly the way I like them. I have gone back a few times, and every time Kathy, the threading lady, greets me with a smile and is very welcoming and helpful. It says they are open on Mondays, well no ones there today. I love getting my eye brows done here, but the owners are not fit for running a business. It's not that hard to update Yelp so it says "Closed Today" or change the sign on the door. They were closed for over a month without letting their customers know when they will open shop again. They use cheap base coat and top coats. (I always bring my own now.) Won't last more than a day or two before it chips. I used to really like this place, but every time I come here I am more and more annoyed. It's a very convenient place for a beauty salon, but some changes need to be made, like the owner. read more

you will have to pay extra for gel and any other regular services that comes with a medi and a pedi. The lady that did my manicure was an elder Armenien lady with dyed blonde hair. She doesn't seem too happy about her job, she looks like she hates her job, and never makes conversation or ask if I was comfortable, or even if I liked my nails. She should be fire or retrain. She did a lazy and extremely sloppy job. The polish the edges was not even, even I could have done a better job myself. The gel service was horrible, it chipped after a few hours. I had to pay $50 more. Wont be coming back here. read more

Where do I start! First of all the staff is wonderful!! Great customer service! Susan always does my nails. Her work is unbelievable. Few months ago I had gone to a place that does threading eye brows. I wanted to try. OMG it was horrible. I have very sensitive skin and after her threading I started to get small pimples all around my eye brows. BUT when I went to nails n beyond, KATHY ensured me that it would not hurt so I gave it a try. OMG!! She was right. Kathy did an an amazing job on my eye brows. I did not feel one pain. Finally an amazing salon to pamper me. I get everything done here. Amazing service with or without appointment. Narine takes care of my hair, I used to pay hundreds to get my color right, never happened. Not anymore. Susan and Ricky are my fave nail artists. What I like the most about this place is that it's quiet! They don't have nail people working on you while talking on the phone or each other. They just do their jobs. An international crew. I made an appointment & still had to wait 30 minutes. The fill was decent but won't go back. The filing isn't smooth & there are ripples after the polish dried. I asked for a specific design & was soooo disappointed at the sad attempt then was charged for 2 designs. After being there for an hour for the fill then I was sat in the pedicure chair for another hour. Pedicure was pretty good but not for the money. For a simple fill & pedicure I was taken for $50. I keep hearing good things about this place from my friend, so I finally told her that I will go with her the next time she goes. So she made an appointment for us and we went it. Well she was right, this place is super!!! I had a great time getting my nails done. I didn't feel rushed, and the girl who did my nails did a fantastic job, I'm just sorry I forgot her name. The woman with light brown hair who did my eyebrows and bikini wax was talking shit about me in Vietnamese right in front of me lol... She just didn't want to work complaining and complaining... ugh it was so annoying. She was complaining that I didn't tip her yet but I ended up tipping her at the end. Found this place through Groupon. I love, love, love it. It's nice, clean, quiet. The salon is designed very tastefully. I had a mani and pedi coupon, but I upgraded it to gel. Their nail people were very nice, and caring. The front desk was welcoming. Everyone looked happy here, even though they were packed. The gel selection was huge and of high quality. I got a gel mani done by one of their techs and was impressed by how gentle they were with my cuticles, as I specifically told them that I dont tolerate pain very well. I specifically asked them to use cuticle nippers because I didn't want an electric file used on my natural nails and was concerned about them becoming weak or damaged. Instead, they insisted on using the electric file. It felt like they simply didn't want to take the extra time to properly soak and soften the cuticles and use the nippers. To make matters worse, the polish on my toes was done very poorly and looked messy. At that point, I was so disappointed that I honestly just wanted to leave. This was a very disappointing experience, and I don't think it's worth coming here. I will not be returning.

I went here to get my gel removed, I called ahead, they had availability and said it would be $10…read moreto get them removed, which was perfect so I went! I went in and the nice technician started removing my gel, at the end of removing my gel she asked 'do you want me to cut your cuticles for you?' And I said 'if you don't mind that would be appreciated!' She cut my cuticles and I went to wash my hands and was ready to pay. However when I went to pay, the receptionist told me it would be $45, I asked to confirm the price because all I got was my gel removed and she told me because I agreed to having my cuticles cut, it was now considered a manicure and 'she did the service so I need to pay it.' To which I asked for clarification because she did not paint my nails, do a clear coat, soak my nails, or any of the other services that come with a manicure. She said I could get a polish if I wanted to and I considered it but then I asked again is there no way to pay a little more than the gel removal fee because yes she did cut my cuticles but it feels unfair that since they did not communicate that uncharge to me that I would be expected to pay for a service I simply did not get. She said I should have asked for the prices when she offered to cut my cuticles and I said that doesn't feel fair because I've gotten gel removed before where they just cut my cuticles without asking so why would I have assumed it would be a $35 add on to my $10 service. The receptionist then told me to leave and she would rather me not pay than argue with her. I explained I was not arguing and I do want to pay, $45 for a service I did not receive feels unfair but I would not be leaving without paying. I took a $20 out of my wallet and put it on the technicians table and left. I paid double what I would have paid for the service alone, I will not let someone think I'm trying to not pay service workers, she deserves to be paid, however, I am not okay with trying to be scammed out of $35 for a up-charge that was not communicated properly. I do not recommend this shady behavior in an establishment, sorry for the miscommunication but this could have been handled so much better than it was.
