I didn't have a good experience here. I did a walk-in appointment for a regular manicure. My tech made me bleed twice. Painful and gross! She didn't even blink when this happened, just squirted on a mystery green liquid. No base coat was used! That's never happened in 10 years of having my nails done in NYC. Had I not asked to pay for manicure before my nails were painted - standard in every nail salon - I would of had to fish money out of my wallet with wet nails. There were no drying stations. Just little nail fans at each station. This was uncomfortable and awkward. Then, to top it all off. The salon wasn't clean. I can't say for sure, but it didn't look like any of the tools were being sterilized. Not to mention, my nails chipped the very next day. :o( My recommendation is to avoid Nails on 7th. read more

I like this place, the atmosphere and staff are cool but don't go to Jenny if you're not ready to pay $100 and up for elaborate nail designs with Swarovski crystals since that's her specialty. I've been to Jenny twice for gel nails and while I had positive experiences both times, I'm used to my nail tech taking the time to ensure my nails come out perfect even if they're not taking a picture of them to post on Instagram. I like the staff there but if you're not going there to have your nails done for a special occasion, it's not really worth it. HARLEM LOCATION- I call the day before to book an appointment and was told they don't take appointments. So I ask if it's busy on Sundays and was told Sundays & Monday's are the slowest and I shouldn't have to wait long. I have three hours to kill so I figure why not. I've been on a mission to find a decent nail salon and Although I'm not as flashy as Cardi B, her nails always seem on point so I went out of my way to get to this salon (not knowing she frequents the Fordham location now). I needed a soak off, pedicure, and a new set. Started with the soak off. One of the Techs (not the fill- in/ full set girls) was fairly new so she had to keep readjusting the drill to not burn me while taking off the gel polish. But whatever she's REALLY sweet and we are making good conversation. FINALLY she finishes the soak off and she takes me to do my pedicure. Everything goes smooth. She asks to be paid then because she won't be doing my nails. I oblige and take a seat. Let's just say I arrived at 2:34pm and it's now 6:30pm and my fingernails aren't done. When the girl that did my soak off and nails asks the actual nail tech (tech at the second table your right) why she is taking other people before me... her response is "she was here first". So i interject I'm like how?? I've been here since 230pm, this lady still has her freaking coat on. (It's hot as hell in there.) "Oh cause she was." Again I'm like, um you know I've been here since 230, I've been sitting here almost 3 and a half hours. There's a nail salon DIRECTLY across the street , (with a better set up by the way) I would've just gone there had I know this was going to take this long. "Oh sorry, she's first. You're next. Sorry." I wait another 45 mins and after the other nail tech takes some else before me too, I just leave. I'm Tired. I have the worst migraine because the music was just extremely loud for no reason and most importantly..... My nails aren't done! It's a Sunday. I have work in the morning, I am pissed. Next weekend is my birthday weekend and I seriously will only have time for a fill in if needed.... would be nice if i had nails on my damn fingers for a weeks fill in. I Haven't been without nails for almost a year. The individual that did my pedicure ( she recently moved here from Arizona) is just a doll and really works hard, So if you're just looking for a pedi, ask for miss from Arizona.... otherwise save your time and energy. Came in right when they opened so there was no wait. They don't take credit card and the ATM was broken so I had to leave to get cash and come back. My basic manicure took over an hour and my nails came out AWFUL. Nails not filed straight, bubbles in the polish and then she came over to check if they were dry and ruined one nail and had to start that one over again. Then!!! The price was $15!! The owners are very nice. This is your round away nail spot. Not upscale just your average nail salon. I'm a nail girl and love the way Jenny shaped my nails. I started off with Billy and then Jenny took over. It was tag team at its best. I had to wait an hour even though I had an appointment. Most people would ask why I would still give 4 starts. I would really give 3.5 but they don't allow half so I rounded up. Overall they were friendly and provided good service. Let's not forget their prices are more than reasonable. let me just say, I've waited a very long time for this moment. I fell in love with Jenny's work, when I had found her page a while ago. I knew I had to make a way to see her, I had lived in Louisiana at the time of discovering her work, so I would dream of the day I'd be able to meet her. Today was so surreal!! She was so humble and kind! I couldn't believe it. I was so afraid to speak to her, because I look up to her so much. But, her energy was so amazing it was so easy to just spew everything out on the table that was racing in my brain. Lol. Went in for a pedi to try a spot in the nabe. Will not return, because it was the most effortless pedi I've ever gotten. The attendant was nice, but barely clipped nails, the brushes and buffing of feet and nails were done nonchalantly. The cuticles were gingerly attended to, and the foot massage was more just an application of moisturizer as opposed to a closing foot massage. The space itself is nicely layed out with dark, moody lighting. Luckily, there are other salons in Harlem that do a good job and have massage chairs. read more

I had an appointment with Billy. He was over an hour late. Jenny started me with the powder she says "I will start you but then I have my own customers" as if I had not been waiting an hour already. She took her customer who was a walk in but I had an appointment very confusing. As a business owner I cannot understand how you speak to a customer that way I'd fire an employee for such behavior especially when we are in the wrong. I was upset for several reasons: 1. It was not made clear to me that you MUST get a design. I didn't want one she tried to talk me into one more than once than I was told I must get gel then and at least two designs. I quickly told her to stop because I didn't want designs she said I could stay and just forget it 2. I told her what shape/length I wanted she did what she wanted. Which is irritating because it wasn't what I asked for. The shape she did was nice as was the length but it's NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR. Are they your nails no! You need to pay more attention to what your customer is saying instead of having 8 different side conversations that are not business related with girls you know. 3. Please make a note they charge for everything! Now I'm the type of customer that is far from cheap but I expect my money's worth! Please work on your customer service! My overall experience was 1 star but the work was good and when Billy did get there his personality would make me comeback. However Jenny needs an attitude adjustment. If she doesn't know you she acts as if your money isn't green. Jenny's daughter did my pedicure. I recommend highly! I was extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism and customer service from the salon owner, Jenny. Not only did she make a racist remark about Black Women, living in the projects and being cheap. She also became physically upset, slamming and throwing things after, my Father asked the price of my nails as he was unaware. She stated to him "My customers don't ask price." I was highly appalled and offended by her erratic behavior. Her husband was polite enough to apologize for her behavior. It is unfortunate that Black Women praise, support and defend her business despite, her beliefs that we all live in public housing; unless of course we're on a reality television show. I booked an appointment last Saturday to see Jenny and I made it clear that I wanted to be seen on December 2nd yet she calls me TODAY and texted me saying that I "missed" my appointment. Then she proceeds to tell me that I lost my $30 deposit because it's not her fault that I missed my appointment. YET I made sure to say I wanted to be seen 2 weeks from now. My issue that I have is that the lady that did my nails DENIED my request for a simple design. She denied me bc she did not like the simple design I asked for. I'm giving a 1 star review because the lady who did my nails was polite and friendly. I am so dissatisfied with my nails. I traveled all the way from Brooklyn because Cardi B had so many rave reviews about this place. I went in with long coffin nails, which were shaped perfectly by my regular nail technician and left with a semi oval shape much shorter than I wanted. All I needed was to replace 2 broken nails and a color change. She convinced me to get a mood color which I agreed too but the shape of my nails were completely off. Some are slim some are wide. There is still glue on the corners. I have no problem spending money on my nails but if I am going to spend it I would appreciate a good end product. I hadn't realized Jenny was the only one capable of doing nails I will never go here again. So I wrote this yesterday and today my nail has already broken. I am so upset. read more

The horrible part is that all of the pedicure technicians were so unbothered by them and didn't so much as wave them off. Nobody's perfect not even some of the ladies that go to this Salon. I have been going to Jenny for two years now. My nails are stronger because of Jenny, as she doesn't pop off your acrylics with a Metrocard like in some places! I get all kinds of designs with stones and charms. I go a whole month on the same design and rarely ever do I have anything come off. One thing is for sure if something comes off and you let Jenny know she will replace it and fix it for you if you come in a timely manner. Some of the ladies that frequent this establishment take the phrase "The customer is always right" too damn far. Stones will fall off, your nails will break, all part of the nail game. All you have to do is let Jenny know and show up when it happens if it is in the fist couple of days. She is all too happy to help you! But when you show up three weeks later crying over a stone or broken nail, you are doing too much. All this hullabaloo about rudeness and crappy service, I have seen many of you show up late and demand that Jenny service you on someone else's nail appointment slot. I have also seen a lot of you demand that she do intricate work for peanuts. You know your budget before you sit down. As far as drama within the nail salon, mind your business. I called several times trying to make an appointment and they literally never answer the phone. I finally decided to attempt to contact Jenny thru her Instagram page and finally got a reply via text. First they tell me that a full set is $55 but I have to spend a minimum of 80$ total by adding crystals and charms. She also says I have to make a $30 deposit via PayPal. I don't have PayPal so I ask if I can come in person and make the deposit cash. She says no. I don't reply and a few hours later she says okay I guess you can make the deposit with cash, and I do so the next day. When I finally come in for my appointment Jenny is JUST starting on another client (while my appointment is supposed to be beginning). I waited about forty five minutes but I didn't have time.
