Arrived here around 9:20, door said the opened at 930 but noticed people going in. I went in and was seen right away. I was here for a shellac fill. The salon was clean and bigger then I thought it would be. Only weird part was you could hear birds chirping loudly. Thought they might have had pet birds in the back, but they said somehow a nest was made somewhere in there that you could hear it. Anyway I didn't get the mans name who did my nails but he was quick and precise. I actually hate getting my nails done so the quicker the better for me. Took around 30 mins from time in to when I left. Will definitely come back to Jessica's nails. read more

My MIL got a NASTY nail fungus here affecting all 10 fingernails. They are flaking off, black underneath. The owner tried to argue with my MIL that it was from typing. Dr diagnosed fungus and now she's on heavy duty medicine for 45 days that has the potential to damage her liver. Fungus is a known risk in this business; why would she try to gaslight a customer instead of just taking accountability? read more

I asked for a mani/pedi with shellac on my normal nails by the end of my visit. pedi was great! no notes. but when it got to my nails.... they put acrelic on them. I didnt ask for that. but by the time I realized what happened, it was too late so I went with it. they didn't do my cuticles, go under and clean my nails, and the nails looked like they're grown out already. mani/pedi on the board said 65. I was told the amount I owed was 90 + the Processing fee of 3 (which is illegal for them to ask the client to pay that. that is the responsibility of the shop. I will be reporting that to Visa/MC). I honestly should have tipped but I did. End total $106. I get home and i shower. my nails start to bubble and peel off. I just went to a different place to get them redone. and lastly I looked like they used used materials on my hands when working on me. so I can see how the people in other reviews got the fungal infections. Only got one star for the amazing pedicure/spa treatment. read more

I got a pedicure today, 12/31/24 and it was probably one of the better pedicures I've gotten in the last year. She really paid attention to the rough skin on my feet and got it off. Used the hot stones and hot towel and better yet, it was only 35$! Will def be back. read more

I will not come back here. It was extremely dirty. The guy doing my nails seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. He made my big toe bleed on my pedicure with no apology nothing. Then my shellac manicure was no manicure just polish. It is all lumpy on my nails and looks bad. My toes were supposed to be white sparkly like my fingernails but only sparkles, no white. Best place I've gone for manicures and pedicures. The prices are unbeatable, especially for the excellent customer service you get. Every place I've tried in the Wayne/Westland area, I've hated. This is only my second time here and my wait wasn't long but I can't say the same for others. My nails turned out okay.. but then my thumb nail chipped the day I got them done just hours afterwards. It's my first time having my nail chip like this and I know it's small but it's so aggravating and I don't have time to just get it fixed. I asked the manicurist to mend my mail 3 times before they did it. Not sure if it's a language problem or not. I have been going to this salon since it opened 6 years ago, and prior I saw them at their old location. It's like a big family once you start going there.. I've seen them recognize people after years of not seeing them!! The staff is ultra friendly and so is all of their quality of work. Each technician has a little different of a "style" but they all rock! They have helped me treat toe injuries effecting my nail.. broken nails .. and mine were always getting in-grown. Now from consistent care, from same technician, I never have pain or problems with ingrowns!! Sometimes you do have to wait BUT it's because they are the best. My first time here. Took about a half hour to be seen, but it wasn't too bad of a wait. The process was very jumbled from start to finish though. Seemed like they didn't have enough people to compensate for the business they had on a Friday morning. Got a full set of shellac, french manicure styled. Disappointed with quality though because I'll have to get them filled in within 2 weeks. They already looked like they've grown out a little but it was the end of the appointment. The process should've taken 30 minutes. It took about an hour, not including wait time. Because the person who was doing my nails stopped in the middle of it to go do somebody's eyebrows. It wouldn't have been such a bad experience except for the fact that a half-a** job on the nails, with a 15/20 minute break in between, was $50. Could've gone somewhere else for a much better experience and for less money. I was excited and hoping to find a gem here. But I guess that's my fault for having the higher expectations. I came here 3 weeks ago for a full set and if it is not because I need to get my nails done for the holiday, I think I can keep my nails grow for another week or two. The quality is definitely there. I like this salon, and not just because my name happens to be Jessica. The women here are quite friendly and personable. However, I stopped in today after work and had a slightly different experience. I am going on vacation next week and wanted a full set and a pedicure. I've never gotten a pedicure here before but have gotten my nails done several times here without incident. My pedicurist was an older male with glasses, and while he appeared friendly at first, became somewhat rough with me as the pedicure went on and seemed flat out annoyed from start to finish. Unfortunately he also did my full set, much to my chagrin, as I was hoping to get passed off to one of the ladies. It actually turned out fairly cute, save for the glue all over the pads of my fingers and the same rough manner. I'll be back, but I hope to avoid this gentleman during future visits. I went in, grabbed a normal nail polish color and waited for my turn to get a mani pedi. Once the seat was ready and the foot tub was full, I was seated and the gentleman doing my nails switched out the normal polish for shellac polish and I only realized the switch has been done once he was finishing up my manicure. Very sketchy to switch out the polish and to then up charge the price without saying anything. Will not be going back. read more

This place is amazing never have I went into a random nail salon and was treated with such kindness! It was very clean as well! My daughter and I had a mommy & me day went shopping at the Westland mall and after she wanted us to get our nails done, not knowing any place around I seen some good reviews for Jessica's and we decided to try it out and I'm so glad we did they were super attentive to my daughter let her sit in the massage chair and after finishing painting her toes and nails which they even applied little flowers too! They asked what she wanted to watch while I finished getting my nails painted! Henry did my mani & pedi he was so funny and sweet also my nails look great! Pretty good manicure with exception of no lotion on my hands or hand massage. Pretty good pedicure as well, but leg massage was rushed and not great, nail fill on toe nails ( charged $3.00 per toe nail) was just okay. However, I have very dry cracked heels and he really worked super hard on that, but again no lotion on feet or foot massage. The above are normal expectations and have been done for friends that recommended the place. Staff were all very nice. read more

Went to get a full set and pedicure yesterday as a birthday treat to myself because I was recommended by a coworker, I was greeted when I walked in and was asked what I wanted, so I picked out my regular polish, they seemed a little irritated because I didn't want shellac, so my nails and pedicure are trash, the acrylic wasn't laid right, there was acrylic left underneath my nails and all around my cuticles, my pedicure felt rushed and wasn't relaxing at all, my feet hardly got scrubbed, I was asked again if I wanted shellac and I said no regular polish is fine. So when I left and went home and looked closer at my nails my polish job was blotchy on the sides of all my nails so I went back today to ask if they will repolish them and the lady said I should have gotten shellac because that's what regular polish does and I explained to her that it wasn't the polish itself it was the polish job so she took off the polish, told me to go wash my hands and she said so do you want the shellac I said no and she said okay well it's going to do the same thing. So I said you can just put clear on and she said the clear polish will do the same thing as the color. So I got up and left with no polish on because she had such an attitude that I didn't want to get shellac. Very poor customer service and I've never had someone argue back and forth with me about polish or shellac polish, I'm the paying customer so just give me what I asked for. I was also unsure about sanitation there it looked questionable the tools that were used. I'd rather flush the $75 I paid down the toilet than to ever go back there. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

I used to love coming here, it was my favorite place until recently. They hired a new guy and a girl and they keep sticking me with the new guy. His work is mediocre at best and he has no talent for designs. All I want is my regular girl but they keep giving me the new guy and they raised their prices. I guess I'm off to find my new salon because I'm just not that happy with the service that I get from here any more.
