I came here to get my nails done and the woman doing my nails was very rude. she did not speak to me what so ever and when she did it was very passive aggressive. she asked me what i wanted on my nails and i told her a french tip. she groaned at the idea of having to do that. she was also aggressive towards me while prepping my nails. and they are already growing out not even a week later. I do not recommend coming here and i will be taking my service somewhere else. go to a different nail salon. read more

First visit here, will not be going back. Not very clean place& I got fungal infection on my cuticles after going here. My nails themslves looked ok, but was embarrassed to show them off because of the fungal cracked& peeling fingers. I have had many artificial nails and fills before& never have gotten fungal infection. Was high priced compared to what I am used to paying. I realize it's out of their control, but not a great neighborhood, a homeless man came inside the salon and sang Happy New Year to you. I did not go as low as "one star" because they did fit me in for fill & pedicure at the end of the day and staff was nice, just dirty atmosphere. read more

Came in for a pedicure and fill. Selected a gel polish. Then opted for a $50 pedicure. What they didn't point out until after they told me the price was $70 is there is a $20 up charge for gel! I took my father here for a pedicure on Wednesday, and am now bringing him home from the urgent care with a script for some hefty antibiotics. No gloves were worn, and the instruments weren't in any cleaning solutions. If I'd have gone inside with him and seen that, we'd have left before services could've been done. I made a rookie non-Yelpy move and bought a Groupon without looking at Yelp reviews. I probably got what I deserved... I paid $18 for Groupon for a basic gel manicure at Fantasy Nails. I called short notice, and they were at least accommodating trying to get me an appointment same-day, which I appreciated. When I chose my initial color at the salon, I was told that color was $10 extra, so I chose another. The first thing they had me do was soak my hands, but the water was cold. The rest of the service seemed pretty basic to me, and I was totally engulfed in the dramatic AF Dr. Phil episode that was on. My nails looked good afterwards, but I wouldn't pay the $40+ tip regular price for a simple gel manicure that didn't even include a nice hand lotion rub (my fave thing wahhh). The worst part... a few days later I realized my cuticles got so cut and mangled by the manicurist that I got insane and painful hangnails on every finger! I haven't had a hangnail since I was a kid! It truly pains me to give a 1 star review to a small local business, but not as much as tending to my bloody hangnails D: read more

I went in for an acrylic fill three people did my nails one person took off my polish One person put the acrylic on my nails for the Fill and did a horrible job one person paint my nails and did a horrible job. The people who run this place are very greedy. You think you are paying one price for your sub-par nail service, and by the time you leave you pay way more.Also, they charge $1 if you want to use your visa check card as a form of payment - and this isn't posted anywhere in their salon, which is illegal. They have a Groupon out, but then they want you to bypass buying on the Groupon website and buy it directly from them (so the salon doesn't incur the 10 percent fee). They also send many texts directly to my cell phone without my permission - like getting spam in your email. One text sent by the manager said that they will honor Groupon pricing on future visits, but on my second visit when I asked about it, and even showed her the text, she was not willing to honor her text. If you come in for a gel manicure, they will charge you $5 to take the previous polish off, and they don't tell you that either until it's time to pay. On my second visit to this salon, I had a gel manicure here, and I asked the technician to cut my nails shorter 3 different times and she basically refused, she kept saying "Trust me it will look nice" ... well I am unable to do my job with longer nails so I had to cut them myself when I got home. The technicians are very nice, but over all, I don't feel the quality of work that comes out of this salon is in line with their pricing and I also do not like the feeling of being swindled when I go there. Both times when I left here my nails didn't really look that great AND I left the salon feeling ripped off AND this last time, I had to go home and cut them myself. With so many other nail salons out there that want to do a great job for a fair price, I would pass on this place and go to a place where you know exactly what you are paying up front, will not get unsolicited texts from them on your phone, and leave happy with great looking nails. read more

The manicure was horrible and the service was the worst I have ever experienced. The lady stopped right in the middle of putting on nail polish to play a video game on her phone. She trimmed my nails extremely short and then after painting them, the sides of some of my nails are missing polish. The salon was dirty and smelled disgusting. The color choices were very limited. Then to make it even worse, when I called and made an appointment for the Gel manicure, I told them it was with a Living Social coupon. After getting my nails done, and with a horrible experience, the lady said she couldn't take the coupon and made me pay full price. What a terrible scam they are running and I caution anyone from ever going there. Don't waste your time and especially money! read more

I had read some totally awful reviews about this place, but, I had bought a Groupon and so today I used it. I'm not sure what all the bad reviews were about - but things must have changed - a lot! My Groupon specified a manicure with Ruby and I ended up having a pedicure as well. Ruby is delightful and she did an amazing job on my manicure and pedicure! The services were professional and very relaxing - and the very comfortable pedicure chairs give the best massage! I will definitely return to Ruby to have my nails done again! read more

I have had about a half dozen mani-pedi's from Ruby and each one has been perfect! Her pedi's last 2 months and her mani's 2+ weeks (gel). I am rating the service 5 stars! The appearance and location (next door to an "exotic dancers" bar) isn't a 5, but it is safe, has a comfortable vibe, and maybe the location is how they keep their prices so reasonable! read more

While I realize that this salon is primarily a nail salon, I took my chances and purchased a Groupon for a brow wax. To my surprise, I was extremely satisifed with the brow wax. Ruby did a great job. She was very concerned about my satisfaction. She understood the clean up and tapering that I was looking for in my brow wax. I called ahead for a same day appointment and was in and out of there in about 10 minutes. I do plan on going back. It is definitely worth the price and the job done was better than what I have received at higher end salons. read more

I've been getting my acrylic nails done and filled here for more than two years now every 2-3 weeks, and in the summer I get the full pedicure too. They're great, and the freestyle designs will blow you away. Highly recommended! Right now they're closed Tuesdays, and calling ahead is always a good idea. (10/21/11) read more
