I have been to this salon twice for gel manicures. There have been problems both times. Following my first visit, two of my nails chipped; the first happened during the first week and a second nail happened just three days later. Since the chips were small, I thought that I'd try them one more time. When I returned to the salon for the second manicure, I attempted to share my concerns with the technician. Initially she "acted" as if she understood my concerns but half way into the manicure, her excessive filing of my nails made it clear that she either did not understand my comments or didn't care. A week after the second manicure, one of my nails broke. The break was so extreme (more than half way across my nail bed) I had to trim the name to prevent it from tearing. The following day, the gel split from my thumb nail. The days following, I continue to have chips and separations with four additional nails. read more

My mom and I got a pedicure for my sister's wedding and we were both really excited as it's not something we do often. Magic Nails is right down the street from where we live so it's always been our go to. Unfortunately it has gone down hill. We made an appointment for 10:30 and I confirmed we could both get ours done at the SAME time. Well the owner was there when we arrived but both of her employees were 30 minutes late. She started mine early so I was basically done by the time my mom's started. Not to mention the two employees that did show up were quite negative and didn't make for a great experience. And the pedicure itself was trash. We paid extra for the more glamorous treatment that was supposed to come with a massage and scrub and what not, a poor excuse for both if you ask me. Next time we'll go out of our way to go to a better salon, with friendlier and timely employees that offer quality service. read more

You cannot beat a $15 pedicure. Seriously. Why pay $40 when you can pay $15 for the same thing? If you don't get the salt scrub it's only $15. I don't get salt scrub anyway because I don't like it. This is a great place. Nice massage chairs and it's never crowded. They're very polite and accommodating. The only good thing about this place is that they're friendly when you walk in but sure enough once they start working on you they start gabbing away with other workers and you have no idea if they're talking to you or someone else. Sure their prices are cheap but so is their quality. My pedicure took literally a total of 15 minutes and that was with an extra purchase of a deep sea salt massage and my feet didn't even get to soak. Super outdated looking too! This place has really great service and super cheap prices. Although the prices are unbeatable, the quality is still great. They are super friendly and really listen to you if you have any concerns. The colors of the nail polish aren't the best, but you can defiantly find what you are looking for. The older lady is really good at waxing eyebrows too. If you are looking for a super fancy place, then this isn't the place for you. They are super clean in there though. Usually I go in the middle of the day on friday's, and the wait isn't bad at all. I only go here because it's right next to my house but 6 months ago I swore against ever going here again when my friend and I walked in to our "appointment" we made earlier in the day, took me and quoted my friend 10 minutes. An hour later my nails were done and they were just taking her back. Today I walk in, was quoted 20 minutes. Watched other people almost walk out when they complained they were waiting a lot longer they quoted. 35 minutes later I asked how much longer she said a few more minutes. At 45 minutes I walked out. Will never return to this salon. Upon walking in I was greeted with confession as the woman was not understand what I was trying to get done. I was very nice and explained it slow and carefully. Then she nodded as if she understood and took me to a chair where I waited and another woman came and started trying to put acrylic nails on me which was the complete OPPOSITE of what I asked for. I just wanted my nails painted O reminded her and then she proceeds to give me a manicure and charge me the manicure price which I specifically said I did NOT want. They do not listen to the requests of their customers and if I began to object, she would give me a face as if I just insulted their whole establishment for just wanting the correct service. Not personable staff, salon was very outdated, and manicure was horrible. Later that day the polish ALREADY began to chip away. THE SAME DAY! I had to put on another layer of top coat myself to fix my nails which I didn't even want like this in the first place. Will never be getting my nails done here again. Stay away. I usually go to the Magic Nails in Willowbrook, which is an awesome place to go. I went to this one today, because I was in the neighborhood. What a mistake. Upon waking in, I noticed the filthy carpet. I had the feeling I should walk out, but I didn't. Long story, the man doing my pedicure spoke very little English, and understood even less. I am not judging, but we couldn't communicate at all. The pain he was causing my toes during the pedicure was the worst I have ever experienced. I should have walked out, but didn't want to make a scene. Just overall, the worst pedicure I have ever had. I will have to go to my normal location to fix this pedicure. read more

Terrible customer service. Went there to get a manicure and wanted to have a snowflake design for the holiday. The girl said she could do it and it was absolutely horrible. I took my younger sister with for her first manicure and her nails were not done how she asked and they looked extremely bad. 02/23/15 - This place was a nightmare!!! the owner did my nails rudest person ever. She made me bleed tried to carve off my nails with a metal tool, took 1 1/2 to soak off my nails because she wanted to use her watered down acetone. Tried to cut my nails down so far she was cutting my skin. Would never go here again!!! Nails are chipping after 2 days too. WORST PLACE EVER - DO NOT GO. read more
