Had the most amazing pedicure today, thanks to fellow Yelpers. I "followed the five star reviews" to The Palace Nails and am so glad I did. My husband and I had very relaxing pedis on a fall weekend afternoon. Everyone was super professional. Love that they bring all the "ingredients" for your pedi in little dishes. You know your pedi was arranged just for you! The facility is super clean and relaxing. Decor was slightly tacky, but honestly as long as it's clean I don't care. Everyone thanked us on the way out. Great job, you have a new regular!! Maybe two if I can get my hubby to pedi with me more often. read more

I don't normally post reviews, but I felt like this one was needed. I went in to get a pedicure, as my toes needed some TLC... The older gentlemen working on my pedicure was definitely a noobie, which I understand because everyone has to start somewhere. I don't appreciate the fact that he spent more time on everything EXCEPT my toes. The pedicure overall was very shoddy:barely pushed back my cuticles, didn't cut my cuticles (when I explicitly asked him to), and my toenails were all uneven. I worked at a nail salon in downtown Chicago for two years while I was going to school, and I know how nails should be done. I don't consider myself a picky person, but this pedicure was very off-putting. I'm not going to generalize the whole place because it wouldn't be fair... Just stay away from the older gentleman with glasses. read more

I showed them multiple pictures on what I wanted & they lied to me saying they couldn't do it because they didn't want to take the time do it.. I got there around 7:15pm.. they close at 8pm. They changed the nail technician three times. After this experience I am learning how to speak Chinese because I'm 99% sure they were talking bad about me. They have people come in all day & show them pictures & the one thing I wanted I couldn't get because of horrible service!!!!! This nail salon is a bit overrated and over priced. I paid $60.00 for what I could have paid $45.00 for by going another mile south on I-45. I went, as a result of other past Yelp reviews, and soon discovered that I was better off going to another salon. The facility and ambiance is nice and clean; however, I would not recommend this place. The lady who did my pedicure seemed as if she had never polished anything before. It took her a while to actually get the paint to meet the cuticle. Then, I was passed on to a man who "caked on" gel polish for my no chip mani. Once they got busy, the business manager rushed all of his employees to finish what they were doing to service the people who recently entered. I left with paint on on my nails, toes, & skin. I tried to be understanding, as it is a busy Saturday. Nails were rushed. Polished incorrectly. Dried incorrectly. Quoted me a price. Changed the price during checkout. Tried to convince me to get a nail style that would be quicker and talked me out of designs. Sizes per nail did not line up equally. Had me wait 45 minutes as I watch "non-people of color"-who came in after me (sans appointment) get a mani pedi combo and leave. The preferential treatment was apparent to others, as I watched them argue with every person of color who had the nerve to advocate on be half of themselves. Another nail tech asks my sister racially motivated questions about what she does for a living. Nail tech says to me -"hurry hurry sit, wash your hands now, go go go!" I could not wait to get out of there. I pride myself on overtipping at my normal spot in the Chicago loop. (They introduce themselves, spark conversations, massage your hands, and take pride in their work) I cringed, leaving half the tip for half the service. Do better. Treat people better. To begin I walk in and the place SMELLS, and I know the typical smell of a nail salon but this place smelled like literal poop. So I tell them I want to get a full set and I pick out my colors and it'll be a few minute wait. Ok great. A few minutes later I'm taken to get my full set done. I don't know the guys name but he starts doing my nails the usual then stops to send a text message. Ok things happen not quite a big deal. So he continues to do my nails and proceeded to constantly keep checking his phone. He then gets a phone call and tells me to hold on a minute. Hangs up the phone continues on my nails and checks his phone and sends a text a good 5 more times. So once I'm done it was like he was rushing me to the drying station while I was trying to grab my purse sits me down then just walked away and went back to his phone. Used to love this place and go monthly to get my nails done. They changed management a month or two ago, and it went downhill. The manicurists were not as friendly, efficient, or experienced, but I remained because of loyalty and convenience. However, I did stop coming here about a month ago due to seeing them reuse dirty pedicure chairs without cleaning the bowls. They were busy, and instead of cleaning the foot spa, they wiped it with one of the dirty towels, and turned the water on. I saw them do this three times while I was there, and it is unacceptable. If I am cut while they are trimming my nails or skin, that is dangerous for me and the person that comes after me. It is not ok to endanger myself and others so that my toenails look nice! Moved on to another place I know cleans appropriately after customers. read more

I was in there for the second time on Saturday and once again, it was an awesome experience. This time I just got an eyebrow wax and they looked PERFECT! I have no complaints about the mani/pedi I received a few weeks ago either. Perfect water temp for the pedi, nice hand massage for the mani, and very nice people who work there. I would not have gone there if it wasn't for the gift card I had and I don't think I will go back to another salon now. 5 stars across the board! read more

I have been to nail salons in many states, because we move a lot, and this place is awesome. I have very short nailbeds which usually means my acrylics lift, but this has never happened here. The people are very nice and the pedicures look great even though I haven't had one. Ask for Anna or Ivy. The man there does a so so good job. Prices aren't bad either. Full Set was 40, I think. Fills on regular acrylics are 16 dollars, and I get a five dollar French manicure. My nails look good for at least two weeks or more. I totally recommend this place! read more

Had a fabulous manicure, it was a bit pricey but I took in a design that I had found on Pinterest and she nailed it (no pun intended.) The decor is pleasing, but the guy at the check in desk is not. Unfortunately Cindy has moved to Iowa :(. I WILL NOT return for any services unless she comes back. I was never fond of the new owners, and only continued to go because she was there. They need to thoroughly clean up behind chairs & tables & do something with that filthy fish tank. It was better managed before 2014. Due to a bridal party taking up the main pedicure chairs I was brought to the overflow room for my pedicure. The chairs are uncomfortable with the back of mine unable to move upright. The nail tech was of no assistance and, really, just didn't care. Not a good attitude, rushing through while not speaking a word. Couldn't be more happy that i found Nails Palace & Spa One of the nicest spas I've ever been to.My first time having a pedicure was absolutely amazing it was the best pedicure i have ever had,Cindy was awesome! I Called to make a appointment with her again and she was already booked so i decided to go with someone else and was not as happy as i was with my first experience. I waited to review until I had been here a few times. Well, 5 manicures and 3 pedicures later, I'm still coming back and still very satisfied! I've even brought friends with. The Nail Palace is beautiful, clean and well-organized. I love how I'm immediately greeted and almost never have to wait. They have all the latest colors and are very attentive to detail. The massage chairs are very comfortable and strong, I've never had a problem. Pedicures last FOREVER and I only do the basic. I've had a great foot and leg massage with every pedicure. I've only had a nail design once and it was beautiful. Manicures last a good week, and I'm very tough on my hands. All of the technicians are friendly and conversational, not just talking to each other or on their cell phones like at other nail salons. I'm tempted to try massage here since everything else is so good. Seriously, try them, you won't be disappointed. read more

This was my first time getting a pedicure at this salon and I had the absolute worst experience! I have a bad toe nail, and where the lady was about to start I specifically told her to only file the one nail more flatter comparing to my nail on my other foot because I don't want it to get any worse than it ready was. She then decides to do more than file it and could around the entire nail. Now my toe nail is nearly about to come completely off! She also did not properly preform a typical pedicure; she did not treat any dry skin that appeared on my feet. I do not plan to EVER spend my hard working money at this place ever again! I've gotten everything from here- gel nails, waxing, pedis, you name it. Been loyal to this place since August and they are very quick yet always get every last detail. One thing you have to note though is that when getting a service you have to let them know exactly how you want your service done- shape, length, etc BEFORE the service because they dive in at a very fast pace. Peter is the best for gel nails!! I got a pedi today and they spent a good amount of time massaging my ankles and legs and made sure my polish was dry before I put on my gym shoes. read more

I am very, very impressed with Nails Palace & Salon. I just moved up to the suburbs and have badly needed my nails done - and I found this place on Yelp. I was initially impressed walking in the door and the decor and the salon is very nice. The manicure stations are high quality and it is clean and decorated nicely. The employees were very attentive and my no chip is BEAUTIFUL. It is close to the cuticle and they put 3 coats of polish on. Then since I was a first time customer, they gave me a points card, which now has $2 on it ($1 per $15 spent), and TWO gift cards for $10! I will DEFINITELY be coming back! read more

Cannot say enough amazing things! I have been to a few nail salons and they do not compare. I walked in after a long day at work from the hospital and was greeted with a warm welcome (and no wait!). The wonderful ladies did my pedicure and no chip manicure simultaneously. Who does that?! It was amazing and saved me so much time. They were very friendly and did a beautiful job. Had acrylics put on at Nail Palace and when I took them off, there was fungus on not one, not two, but THREE of my nails. I have acrylics done very often and have never had this issue anywhere else ever before. When I called them to bring it to their attention, they told me it was my fault for not taking good care of my acrylic nails and that there wasn't anything they could do for me. Very disgusted with their lack of cleanliness, and upset how I was shut down on the phone when bringing it to their attention so that it wouldn't happen to anyone else. read more

This place deserves zero stars. I made an appointment for 445. I arrived at 430. I was taken back at 445 for my pedicure. I asked 3 people if they had the matching no chip polish to match the regular paint color I chose for my toes. Everyone said yes. I sat in the water from 445 to 522. I saw many people being serviced and passing me by weird. I also noticed all the other patrons were offered a pedicure menu, which I was never offered. I saw others offered wine, Champaign and water. I was NEVER offered anything. Finally a tech came to service me. Sam the technician did a terrible job on my cuticles not cutting any skin or really doing any work at all. Someone else came to finish. After the paint was on my toes I went to get my no chip manicure and was told they DID NOT HAVE THE MATCHING COLOR!!! Weird because I asked 3 employees BEFORE I got my toes painted. Now your telling me you don't have it. Needles to say I am very upset my hands and feet don't match. They weren't busy and I didn't get out of there until 722! Why did it take so long? Why was I not offered any service? Everyone kept asking is everything ok, when they knew it wasn't. I was late for an appointment because a simple no chip manicure and crappy pedicure took almost 3 hours and it was slow as molasses in this shop! Plus they're way over priced! Stay away. I have been coming to the salon for years and have always been happy with my nails and toes! Andy does a wonderful job on my gel nails and is fast. June and Chin always give the best massages and no chip on my toes. They use liners in the pedi bowls so you know its clean, and have tons of color choices. You will not be disappointed! read more

Their dip manis are not very good and the color selection is so limited. They last 7 days and start peeling pretty quick. I highly recommend getting gel here instead. They do a great job at that. read more

I am actually getting my third pedicure here as I post this. The first time I can here was in March for my birthday and I've been getting monthly pedicures here ever since! I am a cosmetologist by trade and am very picky about where I get my pedicures done. This is my absolute favorite place for a pedi thus far. I am on my feet a lot so the one thing I like to splurge a little more on are my pedicures. This place is not only clean, but has a variety of fun pedicures to choose from. (My favorite so far is the champagne rose, but I anticipate to try the double chocolate pedicure soon.) it's an absolutely beautiful, huge salon with marble floors and murals on the wall that I find charmingly cheesy in the best way possible. My feet always feel so soft and I never leave feeling like I didn't get pampered. I have been served soda, wine, and champagne. My only complaint is that there aren't more places like this! I love this place and I will continue to come here and refer people to here! read more
