-5 stars, they only care about how much money they can take from you not how well of service the can provide. I wanted square some how I got a beetle shape with tons of texture I have given this place many chances but the last time was it for me. I have *had long natural nails and communicated to the tech I'd like to keep my length light file NO clippers AND SHE CLIPPED them all off as I slightly turn my head to say something to my friend, proceeding to tell me to buy extensions. Omg I couldn't believe it. Then she is gluing on the extensions used for acrylic mind you I just wanted builder gel on my long natural healthy nails I let. The more she continues the more she's doing the opposite of what I the paying customer wants. So the front desk lady comes up and yells at me saying "you're too complicated". So I pay the dues tip and got to Ocean Nails & Spa and they fixed me right up. Save your money and go else where!

This is probably my 3rd time coming to @ Nails. I really liked their new booking system. It turned out to be meaningless. I have a 30 minute rule. If I make an appointment and wait over 30 minutes then I just leave. No scene. I simply walk out. I started to do that at around the 20 minute mark after I watched someone come in after me and be seen before me. The front desk woman chased after me and basically apologized and begged me to come back. I acquiesced after she said she could still get me about by 5:30 pm (original appointment length). The pedicure was going fine. Then a woman came to start my manicure and almost immediately cuts my skin under my nail. She apologized but I could tell she was nervous after that. She squirted cuticle softener everywhere. Finally she asked to switch with the lady doing my pedicure. Now the lady doing my manicure cuts me and draws BLOOD. At this point, I'm fed up so I told the manicure lady to just stop. I've honestly never experienced someone cutting me and then another person cutting me too. And then saying oh you have a lot of skin. Wtf?! The front desk woman came over and said I didn't have to pay, apologized and ran off. Honestly I would never come back here based on the lack of regard for appointment times. The one positive thing is they do offer a really nice set of beverages while you sit.

I had a really disappointing experience here. I paid for a deluxe pedicure that lasted only about 25 minutes, which already felt rushed. The quality of the service reflected that--my technician did a poor job, and I even had to ask her to go back and clean up my cuticles. I also got a full set of nails, and that turned out just as frustrating. I was asked what length I wanted, and after getting one hand right, the technician cut the other hand significantly shorter. Instead of fixing it properly, he ended up shortening all of my nails to "match," leaving them much shorter than I asked for. The design I requested only partially resembles what I showedit looks incomplete and nothing like what I had hoped for. To make matters worse, I came in planning to use a gift card. By the time I was done, the manager had already left, and I was told I couldn't use it because of that. That should have been communicated upfront, not after the service was already done. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing visit. I won't be returning, and I strongly recommend confirming payment options especially gift cards, before getting any services.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I am extremely disappointed with my recent visit. First, I want to acknowledge that the technician who did my pedicure did a wonderful job. My toes look great, and I was very happy with that service. I only wish the same level of care had gone into my manicure. Before my manicure began, I explained that I was leaving for vacation the next day and that this manicure was especially important to me because I am expecting to get engaged during the trip. I wanted my hands to look their best, which is why I chose to spend the money on professional services. Unfortunately, my manicure felt rushed from start to finish. Very little cuticle work was done, despite that being one of the main reasons I wanted a manicure. My nails were filed quickly, and the shapes do not feel consistent from finger to finger. I also noticed bubbles in the polish and areas along the sides and tips of the nails that appeared to be missed. What is most upsetting is that I left feeling worse about my hands than when I arrived. I spent approximately $150 on these services and expected much more attention to detail, especially given that I communicated how important this appointment was to me. I am genuinely sad writing this review because I was excited for this appointment and wanted it to be a special part of preparing for my trip. While I was very happy with the pedicure, I cannot recommend this salon for an important manicure based on my experience.

At the spur of the moment I decided to get a manicure today at @Nails. I was considering upgrading to the paraffin deluxe manicure. But unfortunately I did not know I needed to mention it when I came in. I made an appointment on the website. Which is a nice feature. Their website is quite good. I was able to get an appointment scheduled for half an hour later. I haven't had my nails done in a while (as seen below in the before picture). It was a quick and manicure with regular nail polish. (I don't bother with gel polish or nail extensions and I am hard on my hands and I have yet to find a salon where the nails/gel polish last for more than 3-5 days). The technician was fast and my cuticles and nails were trimmed and painted (no topcoat) within 20 minutes. I sat at the drying station for about 5 or so minutes before the tech came over to put on a top coat. I was told to sit there for 5-10 minutes to dry. I waited a bit longer, 15-20 minutes. I was not rushed by any means. I noticed there was over paint on the sides of a few of my nails. The generously applied topcoat started to have some odd wrinkling. I'm guessing that it was because the polish underneath was not completely dry. I will have to try here again now that I understand their services a bit better 1. I didn't know that you have to check in on the tablet when you come in. 2. You have to ask for any upgrades to your service (it's a nice no pressure environment). 3. Bring cash to save on your services. (They have an upcharge for using credit cards)

Leo at @ nails on Froom Ranch Way gave me a top-notch spa pedicure that left my feet feeling rejuvenated. The attention to detail and great polish color selection make this salon a must-visit for anyone in San Luis Obispo.

I'm 54 years old and have been getting my very bushy brows waxed since the 6th grade. For the past 10 years, Candice at Brow Therapy has been the ONLY person I trust with my eyebrows. They are coarse, grow in every direction, and have always been a source of insecurity for me. I am incredibly picky, and after many disappointing experiences over the years, I found the brow guru of the California Central Coast in San Luis Obispo. Candice is not only the best eyebrow waxer, tweezer, shaper, and scissor artist I've ever encountered, but she also runs her business with a genuine and humble, no fake BS approach that I absolutely love. She's always on time. Literally come as you are, she's got your brows. Recently, I treated myself to the 40 Minute Brow Experience, and it exceeded every expectation. The slight vibrations through the bed, the sounds through the headphones, and one touch from Candice, took me away so very quickly into a complete state of relaxation. I didn't have to make any effort to quiet my mind. After a year that included a breast cancer diagnosis and surgery, my body has been carrying an enormous amount of stress. For 40 minutes, all of it disappeared. There was no anxiety, no to do list, and no worrying about the future. I was floating on a cloud and was able to feel so present and filled with bliss throughout the entire treatment. And even after, I was walking on the clouds during grocery shopping at a peak hour! This was more than eyebrow maintenance and self care, it was healing. Candice, thank you for giving me 40 minutes of peace and fab brows during a very difficult time. I will never ever go back to a regular brow wax again. By Appointment Only, I book through the VAGARO App. On Instagram @browtherapy 805-550-9986

Look, I know this whole COVID mess has screwed up everyone's lives....and livelihoods, but holy…read moreheck, if I could give zero stars for the interaction I've just had with the owner Emily at Brow Fox, I surely would. Last month when we were in the middle of the first shut down I literally stopped at the salon and called from the parking lot in an effort to avoid any unnecessary exposure to Emily, her employees, and other clients. I could see people in the business moving about, but no one bothered to answer the telephone. This should've been my first indicator that things were not legit here. But because I have visited the salon before and had a great experience with one of her contractors, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and went ahead and walked in to see if I could make a future appointment. Emily herself finally came to the counter and explained she was in the middle of eating lunch and there is no possible way she could take me that day. Again, I hadn't asked her to take me *that day*, I was simply trying to make a future appointment. She advised she had zero availability for at least the next 6 to 7 weeks. I agreed to accept her first available appointment and kindly asked her to please place me on a waiting list in case anything freed up before then. Then I asked about her availability to touch up the micro blade on my brows at a later date (a $300+ service). Suddenly she had availability three weeks out. Of course I took the appointment and was anxious to have my COVID Frau unibrow whipped back into shape. Skip ahead to yesterday when I received not one, not two, but three request to confirm my appointment for today via email and text nearly back to back. I responded to all three as requested immediately. A few hours later I received an email stating she was shutting the shop down down due to state guidelines. Unfortunately, her email message was not 100% clear and I wanted to make certain I wouldn't miss my appointment which appeared from her email would be one of the last completed before her shut down. I did not want to stand her up, and I also did not want to violate her policy and be charged for an appointment I missed due to any misunderstanding and her communications (she has my card # on file). I emailed through her site but got no response. At 7:30 this morning I received a fourth request to confirm my appointment via email. I immediately called to leave a message at the shop as it appeared her messaging system was having problems. Imagine my surprise when she answered her phone at 7:30 AM! I attempted to explain my reason for calling only to be cut off, interrupted, and barked at in a nasty, unprofessional manner. This was followed by the line going dead, so due to her attitude, I assumed she had hung up on me. Rather than call her back, I simply emailed her just her asking she remove me from her client list permanently. Below is her email response to me along with my reply received this afternoon. I'm also including screen captures in case anybody wants to call into question the validity of her response. While I understand we are all on edge due to the extreme stress and pressure COVID-19 has placed everyone under, her behavior was completely inappropriate and unwarranted considering the situation. I will no longer do business with this woman, and strongly suggest anyone interested in her services continue looking for someone who can manage their behavior and communications in a professional manner instead of lashing out and behaving as if they are the only person in the world who has been affected by this pandemic. I wish you the best of luck Emily, you're going to need it with your poor attitude :-( PLEASE SEE THE SCREEN CAPTURES OF EMILYS UNWARRANTED EMAIL TO ME IN THE ATTACHED PHOTOS
