Cash only - there's an ATM in the CVS a few doors down. Have been going here for many years, (although only 1-2 times per year) for manis, pedis, and gel manis. I always get a good result and the chairs for the pedis are in good shape (comfy, massage, etc). Good choice of colors. Make an appointment so you don't have to wait. Owner is a hoot. Brought me a water when I had a little coughing fit (just when my nails had been painted! Very thoughtful). Minor point on my most recent visit was my tech didn't speak any English (and I did not speak her language) so we had some trouble communicating verbally on the shape I wanted; luckily I had a photo on my phone. I really wanted Marigold Nails to be my new go-to spot -- there's so much to love here, but unfortunately the quality of my service didn't hold up. What I loved: The snack selection is absolutely off the hook. Cute little dispensers full of goodies and a well-stocked fridge made the experience feel special and thoughtful. Employee friendliness was excellent. The host who greeted us was very charming and welcoming. My nail technician was quiet but kind -- I didn't get to see much of his personality, but he was pleasant. Cleanliness was good overall. The tools and surfaces were clean, and the decor is beautiful and upscale. My mother was happy -- and she's picky! She had a gel dip manicure and was genuinely pleased with her nails. She's someone who notices and comments on every little flaw, so that says a lot. Room for improvement: Clutter and storage in customer view. There were random boxes and paperwork shoved behind and above decor elements, and even one of the pedicure chairs was covered in papers and clutter. It really detracts from what could otherwise be a gorgeous, high-end atmosphere. Poor quality workmanship on my acrylic fill. At first my nails looked good -- shape and finish seemed fine from a normal distance. But within a week, a big chunk of polish on one nail just lifted and came off. At first I thought maybe I'd caught it on something, but a few days later the same thing happened on another nail. Soon, one of those nails' polish started to lift noticeably, and I was able to peel off another large section of polish with almost no effort. I've been getting my nails done for decades, and this has never happened when done properly -- it seems like the nail bed wasn't prepped well enough for the polish to adhere. To make matters worse, two of my nails broke painfully (split horizontally) within that same week, which never happens to me. Final thoughts: I really hope the younger gentleman who did my acrylic fill can be retrained, because everything else about the salon -- from the atmosphere to the staff to the little touches like snacks -- was delightful. But the quality of my nails just didn't meet the standard I expect, especially when my mother's manicure was done so beautifully. If they can address the clutter and help their team deliver consistent, lasting results, Marigold Nails could absolutely be a 5-star salon. I would have emailed this feedback directly, but there's no email address listed anywhere -- so I'm leaving this review in the hope it helps them improve. read more

When I asked the young man why I couldn't even look he said "the color you picked is fine." As soon as he started working on me be brought out the clippers and said the nails I had were old and needed to be cut off because of the glue. I told him they were not old, the last lady who did them did a terrible job and that's why I had to glue them back on. Without telling me, I had to ask how much I would be charged.
