Nails So Happy is my new favorite nail spa. I still love seeing Kim at Avante, but since I moved to the other side of Murfreesboro, I don't venture to that area as often. At Nails So Happy I would highly recommend seeing Ken. He takes time to perfect every nail and provides a very relaxing experience. I have been several times over the past year for both gel manicures and pedicures and have always gotten great service. One bonus for me because I have limited time is that I can make a same day appointment to see Ken and he can do a beautiful gel manicure for me during my lunch hour! I love that! read more

I went to nail so happy a couple days ago and I already have so many hangnails. It looked amazing after I got them done but that only lasted 3 days. Then they started getting worse and worse. Also while I was getting them done the lady was very kind and I liked her but she drew blood on my finger by over trimming my cuticle!! I will probably not be going back. read more

Will not go back. Poor service, pricey, did not feel relaxing or welcome. They need a lesson on working in a service industry. Also got gel manicure, the tech did not let my nails dry long enough under the light and had to re-do both thumbs. Plus the right thumb bubbled and peeled again when I got home that night so I had to go back to have them do again! I felt like a burden the entire time. read more

I gotta say not the best nail place out there but they are fine. They are so so friendly but seriously, I don't care. I'm not there to make friends. Actually the reason for 4 stars instead of three is that my gel nail polish lasts longer from here then anywhere else. I got the French on short nails and I got at least three weeks out of it! Is half a star an option? I picked out my color and waited patiently for my turn. Place was packed but no idea why. I showed the man a picture of the length and shape of acrylics I wanted done and he said ok. After asking the length I wanted he cut it but told me no I was wrong and it was too short so he glued it back on. Well the color I wanted was a natural color so the nails would look more real. You could see where he reglued the nail so I just asked him to paint all of them with this glitter the girl before me had left there. The paint job was splotchy which I noticed while my nails were drying so I went back to the chair. Once all was dry and I was home I looked closer and it was just awful. Big gaps where the acrylic powder wasn't applied well. I repainted them to try and fix it. He took a good 15 minutes to apply these.... Two days later after trying to remove them myself I had noire nail salon remove them. Noire takes their time and gives quality read more

They've done an okay job in the past, but this last experience was not good and certainly not worth the price. I understand being busy, but that shouldn't affect quality of the experience and the nail job itself. My "gel manicure" basically consisted of him filing and running a machine over my nails to smooth them followed by 3 quick coats of paint, a color that he switched and said it was the same as what I originally chose but essentially looks like a clear coat, something I am capable of doing myself. This was my first time to visit Nails So Happy. There was almost no wait time although we walked in without an appointment. The techs were friendly, and our two manicures - one regular, one gel - were done in what seemed like record time for a reasonable price. I went to this salon 2 weeks ago and got the plain ol' french manicure , nothing fancy . When I went in for my fill this week i decided i wanted something a bit more fun . I chose several things from pinterest I was interested in for my manicure . When I walked in I told the gentleman at the counter I wanted a glitter ombre look and he told me he did not know if they could do that , but the girl at the podium said it was easy and would not be a problem . They told me to choose a color and go sit at the designated seat so i did . When the nail tech comes and sits she asked what i wanted I told her the same thing and showed her a picture on my phone and said" something like this". From that point on all she did was make excuses as to why she could not do every single thing I showed her . Even at one point taking a nail tip and doing what I asked then telling me she couldnt do it ???!!. Long story short she would not do anything I asked for except fill in the manicure I already had . Some of the pictures I had I knew might be complicated but some of the others were just polish yet she turned me down no matter what I asked for and continuously suggested I make a appointment with another tech who was "on vacation right now".I feel like this place simply deals in volume and wants to rush everyone out so they do not want to do anything more complicated than a simple french manicure or polish . After she turned me down for every idea and could see I was disappointed in having to just get a fill and go , she got rude and short with me until she finished . I had a horrible nail tech ! He was VERY VERY rude . He made me feel very uncomfortable. He was not friendly at all !! I will never go to HIM make again !! I think I'm just having bad luck with these nail shops lately. I should just stay with what I know but I needed a shop that opened before 10 and this was right by my house. Anyway I went in for a polish change...I've heard good and bad things about this place so I decided to test them out on a simple polish change(something cheap). Well let's just say I won't be back. This place is so RATCHET!!! People too busy talking to acknowledge guests and when I sat down they seemed bothered because I walked in and I guess I interrupted their conversation. While polishing my nails the tech kept stopping to talk to her people. WTF?! Come on now I've got some where to be. Midway into painting my nails she kept stopping, kept stopping to talk. At that moment I knew "oh naw I won't be back". Ok after she was done she directed me to sit to let my nails dry and while getting up I accidentally hit my nails. I told her I hit them and she gave me this look like "and so what..." She started to repaint the two a hit and says "I'm going to be doing this all day" like dang!! What's with the attitude!! I couldn't wait till my nails dry so I can get out of there. So rude!! But hold up...how are all the techs that wasn't doing anything sitting in the pedicure chairs on their phones? umm so unprofessional!! I will NEVER visit this place again. The guy doing the pedi was more interested in the Soccer game than my pedi. There is polish all over the skin around my toes. There is still dry skin on the bottom ofI my feet because he didn't even scrub them. He didn't speak to me the entire time and when I asked him to press harder when he rubbed the oil in my legs he stopped rubbing all together. I have been to this location a few times and they do great work, but I have gotten one male employee to do my nails a couple of times and he has been very rude to me. There is a nice way to tell someone to relax their fingers or switch to the fan etc. Yes they were busy, and I work in service so I know it is stressful, but I have never been anything less than kind to someone. I always tip generously and I don't try to force conversation, so I don't see why I should pay $70+ to get treated like an idiot for an hour. read more

Heard about this place so much & so disappointed after my visit. I live 2 minutes away so me & my roommates made appointments for acrylic nails. Boy was that a mistake. Though they sat pretty fast, we didn't get to sit together. We were soooo rushed, which resulted in the nail file knicking all of us more times than necessary. My nails had bubbles in them & my friends real nails hadn't been cut or filed, so her real nails were visible under the acrylics! Cuticles cut far too short, result: bleeding. I used to go to Nails So Happy regularly but hadn't been there in over a year. When I went back I was shocked at how dirty the shop is. The floor seriously has dirt, stains, and spills all over it. The massage chairs did not seem clean, there was dirt in my cup holder. I should have walked out right then but I'm flying out of state for a wedding tomorrow morning so I had to get my nails and toes down today. The pedicure was fine, but then during my mani the tech nicked my cuticle and it started bleeding. She did not say a word to me, no apology, nothing. She just pushed some cotton onto the cut and kept going. Then she charged me full price for the manicure. There was definitely crude conversation going on among the employees around me but that doesn't really bother me. I just am not okay with dirt everywhere and paying for someone to make me bleed. I have been here a few times. I get my nails done only on special occasions. I've had a few good experiences but I will never go back after my last visit. They were getting near closing time but still insisted they would do mine. I REALLY wish they would have just sent me away if it meant I was going to a rushed and horrible job. They guy that did it always seems to be the one in charge. Maybe the owner or manager. I got a full white tip set. Nails were crooked because he was hardly paying attention and more worried about what his employees were doing. I asked for a manicure as well and he suggested that I just get the gel top coat instead so It would look fine (more expensive and probably didn't want to spend anymore time on my service). My fingers felt like they were on fire under to UV lamp. After leaving my fingers were pulsing. Hours later and all of my nail-beds are inflamed and in pain. They are way over priced for the quality of their service. They charged me 50 dollars for acrylics with gel. This did not include a manicure. I'm used to paying 35. I wouldn't have minded paying more but my paint had bubbles and streaks in it from a bad paint job. The nails arnt even filed straight. They rip your old acrylics off instead of soaking them and then laugh at you when you tell them it hurts. They even made me bleed. I would not recommend this place at all. The only reason I came here is because it's where my friend usually goes. So we go in, I wanted a full set, basic almond shape medium length. So, as we walk in the guy at the counter to sitting there texting and it takes him a hot minute to even realize we are there, so we sign in, my friend went and got hers started right away. She wants a short french tip. I waited in the chair next to her and a female employee sat down in front of me whips her phone out and starts texting. A few chairs down, a male was finishing up on a woman's nails.(who later on I figured out got cut from him) so when she got up, he had me come over WITH OUT CLEANING HIS AREA, and immediately started on my nails, he kept filing on my skin... he didnt have a conversation or gave me any time to actually look at my nails to see if they were good. he didnt give any of the coats enough time to dry, so when I went to sit in the "drying area" he grabbed my phone for me and just tossed it on the counter. When I went to grab it, to keep it from falling off, my messed up three fingers, I asked them to fix it, they said okay. Texting lady from early rolled her eyes and told me to sit, she rushed them even worse, then charged an extra $10 for fixing it, they look and feel like shit.. because they werent done properly, I figured out that my friends stylist didn't have her washed her hands after so now they look and feel grimy. now I'm use T-Salon where they pamper you and make sure everything is to perfection. So I'm use to sitting sitting in a chair for an hour if not two, I was in and out of there in maybe 30 minutes for acrylic nails and a big mess up.. 10 of which was spent trying to dry my damn nails because they weren't done properly.
