I really liked this nail salon and my gel nails lasted 3 full weeks and I only took them off because of the nail growth I had not because they were chipping or peeling. While my pedicure was underwhelming and felt a little rushed, my manicure was great and she paid very close attention. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. I don't live close to this location as I just went for a wedding party event, but I do recommend this place to those that live nearby. read more

Five stars for a very relaxing, sanitary and glamorizing experience. For starters, there is nothing I would change about their pandemic precautions. You must book an appointment ahead of time and upon entering the salon, they request that you walk over to the sinks to wash your hands. I am overly cautious these days, so I brought my own sanitizing wipes for the pedicure chairs and manicure chairs and both were spotless upon wipe down. They obviously had cleaned them. It just makes me feel calmer lately to clean it myself. They require masks of their patrons and their staff and there is hand sanitizer available throughout the salon. They even ask you to wash your hands before your manicure and give you hand sanitizer before you sit down. There are sneeze guards up between the manicurist and the customer and they space everyone out for social distancing. I found it all very comforting and was able to relax more knowing the salon is very clean. As for atmosphere, the salon is very modern and they have kept the color scheme, music, and lighting at a spa-like level. There is a TV, but it is on mute with subtitles. These things matter when you have come to relax! Some salons get it wrong with bright lighting and loud TVs. Baffles me. I have been here twice now for a mani/pedi combo. Chloe was my nail tech on both visits and she does an excellent job. My nails look perfect! I will definitely be a regular here going forward. read more

First time going to Nails Spa Avalon after almost five years living in the area . My favorite nail tech closed her nail salon and didn't know where to go to do my nails... after literally wondering around 2 other nail salon which did not like at all, ended up here in NSA... I didn't have an appointment, when I'm on Friday and it seemed busy.. waited probably less than 10 minutes and Jenny took me to her "desk". Well I showed her what I wanted and got exactly that!!! So needless to say, I will definitely will be going back and will ask for Jenny!!! read more

Somebody recommended me this place and I scheduled an appointment. The customer service is the worst. The man that did my fill in was inexperienced not allowing me to wash the debris off my hands in between the service. The lady who did the pedicure did not apply the feet separator and cracked my acrylic. They had favorite customers whom they acknowledged and tried to rush me as a result. I was so disappointed as this was the first time I was treated this way in a nail salon. read more

I'm super disappointed, I don't ever leave reviews but I'm a bit fed up. I live in Avalon and come here all the time. The last 3 times I have been terrible. I make appointments and end up waiting 20 minutes past my appointment scheduled time. The last time I was in here took over 3 hours for a pedicure and a dip manicure which is absurd. I just had to walk out because I made an appointment for a pedicure at 12:15PM and I go up to her at 12:30 about the wait and they state 10 more minutes. I told her I had to be somewhere by 1 so that's not going to cut it. I just waisted my lunch break to sit somewhere that clearly over books themselves or doesn't honor appointments. Last time I will step foot in there. read more

Awesome prices, great service, good hours and VERY clean. Got a pedi and mani and was surprised to see that the use plastic covers for the tub where they do your pedi. This is good in order to maintain cleanliness and prevent infections and fungus from being transferred to other client's feet. Very happy with this place! read more

My nails broke within 15 minutes of getting a fill. They filed them so thin the acrylic snapped by opening a soda can. I called them to come back in for them to fix it. Went back in a few hours later and they acted so annoyed that they had to fix their crappy work. Blamed them breaking on me, telling me I shouldn't open cans the way I did. I'm sorry but my nails have NEVER broken from opening a Soda, as they shouldn't when acrylic is done right. Took my business to Expert Nails on Alafaya where they fixed all my nails done horribly by Avalon Nails. read more

Everyone is so nice and they always say hello when you walk in and address you by name. They have quality product/polishes/powders with highly skilled technicians. The vibe is modern and "cool" and everyone I bring here throughly enjoys their nails. I give special recognitions to Chloe and Ally, two of my favs. But everyone is top notch. I loved this place so so much ! The inside was so pretty and clean, and the staff was so friendly. They had a large selection of regular and gel polish. The jelly pedicure seems very interesting and I might have to come back and try it. Overall I liked this place a lot. They paid a lot of attention to detail, I had a broken toenail and she made sure to be extra careful when doing that toe. She made my nail shape so pretty as well. 10/10 read more

Garbage. There customer service is zero. I went to do my nails at 7:10 pm and the lady asked me what do I need. I said a fill and she left. I waited 10 mins and ask another lady who's doing a pedicure by the entrance where I was standing and she said to me they had no one to do my nails. I said what and everyone was staring at me like I did something wrong. Don't you see me standing here for 10 mins and no one said anything. Each and everyone ignore me like i was trash. Never never again. That's is not how you treat a customer who wants to pay. Next time be more courteous so your business can grow. Sorry for the stuck ups who do their nails there. read more

This place use to be good. They got too big for britches. THEY don't HONOR appointment times. If you have apportionment for 5pm. They will take a walk in at 4:50. I have never seen them sterilize a tool. Please think twice. I am very particular about my nails and cleanliness...BE WARNED OWNER LILY phoney. read more

I was visiting family in the neighborhood and decided to get pedicure and manicure on a whim. The manicurist upsold me to gel manicure. The full set was only $25! Where I am from they usually charge $30-35 so this was a steal. AND the pedicure was only $20. So I got my nails and feet done for$45. That's pretty cool. I got great service and the technician took time and care. If I lived here, this would be my go to place. Glad I decided to come in this one instead of the salon next to Subway. read more

Just moved down to Florida from Boston and I was worried about finding a good salon. I went to Nails Spa Avalon today and my nail technician Eva was amazing! I got a pedicure and gel manicure, which were both done with precise effort and care. The color choices were excellent and they had the brand new OPI collection that I was looking for. I will definitely be going back to Eva, but I observed the other technicians and they all seem to do really great work! Almost all of them had personal appointments with people requesting the techs by name, which created a very personal atmosphere. I'm very happy to have found this salon and I cannot wait until next time! read more

My tech is Chloe and she always welcomes me with a hug and we have a great time chatting while she does my nails. They always look great and she remembers the colors I like. Love how close it is to my house and the prices are competitive. I would highly recommend this salon. Scott and Lily are extremely nice also. They haven't done my nails but they always welcome me by name. I feel like family. And the decor is beautiful. The massage chairs are great, they use the tub covers so you know its clean. They tools come out of a plastic bag each time so they are clean also. Love this place! read more

I'm here again this time for a pedicure and I loved it! They use plastic liners for the pedicure basin which are discarded immediately after use and that alone made me smile! I love sanitary practices. Any way Kenny gave me a pedicure and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Once again a great visit. I recommend this place to anyone in Avalon and the surrounding areas. I'm so glad I found this place close to me over in Avalon! I was leaving the gym the other night, with 2 broken nails and in desperate need of some pampering for my hands. I didn't want to make a drive out far from my house, so I looked up local places and this one popped up with some good reviews. I called ahead to make sure they did dip powder, and was told to come right in. When I got there, I didn't have to wait at all- granted it was about an hour before closing on a weekday, so I'm not sure how they might fare with wait times otherwise. Amy was my technician, and she was sweet and friendly! They didn't have a whole lot of options for the dip powder, but that's honestly not a bad thing. I'm always overwhelmed when I'm handed a ring overflowing with 10 cards, with 20 colors of nails on each. I start to sweat and panic as I'm flipping through them with one hand while the technician works on my nails. This time, I was handed about 4 cards with 10 colors on them, and it was so much easier and still had a varied palette. Amy listened to what I wanted in terms of nail shape and length, and she was very careful with the one nail that was causing me some pain. She did an amazing job and finished right as they were closing up. Not only did my nails look absolutely fab- seriously, just look at the picture (not many places have a funky witchy green like that), but she also did one of those cool arm lotion massage things that was like a sweet cherry on top of a great experience. I paid $38 for my dip powder set which is what I expected, so I was happy with the price as well. I will definitely be coming back, and seeing Amy again because I loved working with her. read more

She never instructed me to wash my hands from all the acetone soak, or nail debris just put cuticle oil on top of all that. Then had the audacity to charge $35. I said fine because I needed those nails off but really. I don't mind paying $35 if you had me wash that stuff off my hand, warm towels, cuticle oil, then hand massage with lotion (like the good old days). Then I would have been like ok it's about the experience. Only positive was the tech was nice- but really that's a bare minimum.

When I contacted the salon again, the director (Lisa Reule) was unapologetic and only offered for me to return a third time so they could "fix" it. At that point, I had lost all confidence in their ability and went to Mosaic Salon instead, where they were able to repair the damage. Mosaic has always done beautiful work for me, and this experience reminded me it's worth the extra drive to go somewhere with real expertise. I do not recommend InStyle Salon, but I highly recommend Mosaic for professional, consistent results.

I say "they" because the appointment was always with Cecilia but the owner/husband would always grind and file before she grinned and filed some more. Nails were always overworked, sore and raw before first brush. And the man was always a bit too pushy and touchy for my taste. I was uncomfortable since day one; and asked him to stop touching my arm/shoulder. Im sure it's innocent but not professional. We have had to rest & take care of our nails at home because of how painful all the cracks and lack of nail bed have been. Never going back!
